The year before Oliver did it Battle For the Net also crashed the server where you write comments to. They also hook you up to your senators by calling their 800 number, etc., etc. It's a worthy alternative. :)

Imagine as an example that you caught your significant other cheating, then because of it you decided to end the relationship, you also have kids. Now imagine if your significant other told the world that YOU cheated, and everyone starts talking. It was more of an observation of the general weirdness that seemed to follow his death than anything specific. I've actually only recently been aware of the allegations against Bowie himself (I avoid reading about celebrities), and while terribly upsetting and depressing I'm not surprised. I suspect most of the Rock and Roll greats have some kind of similar ugly blemish on their record.
Now I've gone and made myself even more sad.
