So, I finally discovered a couple Opelu Koa's, I catch Opelu each time now, and catch 1-3 Mahi pretty much each trip out. Now, I gotta break this mysterious Ono course and then also catch a Shibi. 🙂 To break the Ono curse I went to Lapakahi and placed my hands on the ancestral fisherman's rock to offer respect to God Ku'ula. I felt so good after that, I don't care if I catch an Ono or not...and I shall keep enjoying the bounty of our waters. @@AffordableWahoo

There's the Hawaii Kayak Fishing facebook group probably worth checking out. I have never fished South Point because seems like a big hassle getting gear into the water down across the rocks.
