So happy to see you guys back on my screen! You do realise that you are "friends" to so many of us watching and we would be so nervous if you spoke to us as well 😆 Port Pirie is a city in South Australia just in case you were interested 😁
Thank you! We think of you all as friends too 🥰🥰
I left you sock comments in videos 1,2,3. I hope you see them to assist you with socks. I have been knitting socks for 10 years. The ideas I shared I have not found in writing anywhere, but knitter friends showed me their secrets. Enjoy. I just found you guys recently. I decided to go back to number 1 and binge watch you to the present. Thank you for all your ideas. I have been knitting for 49 years total and crochet for 51 years. I look forward to your sharing. Thank you.
Thanks so much for spending some time with us! We’re glad you are here! We love doing these and getting a chance to interact with you all 🥰🥰
Great podcast. Never too long. Always appreciate the opportunity to knit in good company. Thanks so much.
Thanks Donna! So glad we could help keep you company 😍
Watched complete show in one sitting..Very enjoyable and informative. Didn't seem all that long.
Thank you Ann!
That’s so sweet and comforting that you were nervous about speaking at the Grocery Girls knit night. I was over the moon excited to see the four of you talking together - completely turning into a fan girl at my dream crossover event. I raised my hand and unraised it three times - finally, I completely chickened out even though I’d really wanted to tell them I love them. Someday, maybe I’ll have the opportunity to feel too shy to speak to you two, too. This leads me to what’s different pre- and sorta-post-pandemic: my social skills have fallen apart and I am all awkward and bashful now.
Almost forgot to say how beautiful 👀 all of your FO’s are! Beautiful!
Thank you so much Lulu!
Watched all in one sitting 😆 chose my yarn and knit a swatch for my very first test knit. Then knit the last two rows and bound off my Odyssey shawl...thanks for all the yarnie goodness!!
Hi Leslie - Thank you so much for watching and commenting, we really appreciate it.
I really enjoyed you two sharing about your Shop Stop adventures.... wonderful way to enlarge your yarny goodness. Congratulations, ahead of time for the 10k subs. Have a wonderful week.
Thank you so much!! We had so much fun sharing all the goodies 🥰🥰
Great show guys. Loved the shop tours and seeing your purchases. Thank you.
Thank you John.
A 1 x 1 rib is about three times the work for a "thrower" than it is for a continental knitter because you've got to keep throwing your yarn back and forth to the front and back of your work in between each stitch. For a continental knitter, putting the yarn in front or in back of the work is a small movement of the index finger or left needle, depending on how you tension your yarn. I have some shawls with seed stitch fabric that would just wear you out!
Max's shawl is gorgeous and your colors are incredible Ray!!!!! WHOAH!!!
Thank you!! He’s so talented!! I can’t wait to see it finished 🥰
Hi from Alamosa Colorado. Another great podcast. Love seeing the yarn shops and am jealous because the closest yarn shop is two hours away. ? of the day: Actually my whole daily routine has changed as I am no longer working and have been retired for a year. Loving it and more time for things I enjoy like knitting and watching your podcasts. Love your fun interactions with each other and humor. See you in two weeks!
Hi Deborah - Congrats on retiring, happy to hear that you are enjoying your days.
Your shows are always so awesome. I too make my socks with nine inch circular needles with double pointed needles for the heels. I always love to see what you made. Your projects are always beautiful.
Thanks Christine! We’re so glad you stopped by to say hi 🥰
whenever I see you gentlemen pop up on my utube list I just know that my day is going to get infinity better! I love watching you two, your such a great and connected couple, and make me laugh so much. You knitting is beautiful and I love all your projects. A note to Rays mom: Don't worry about your age, we get much better as we get older, just like wine.
Yes we do 😊
Aww thank you 😊 We have such a great time and really enjoy having the opportunity to connect 🥰🥰
I'm going back and watching all your episodes I missed while I learned to knit. Yes! You guys inspired me to learn to knit at 61! I've always crocheted. But I made my first hat for my first grandson and it's so cute! So thank you! And I have never met anyone else who hates ketchup Ray.
Hi Tammara! Thank you so much for watching, we are so happy to hear that you started knitting 😀
Wow, you have been making tracks visiting so many yarn stores! My grandmother lived in Woodbridge for many years, so we used to go there lots growing up. And I learned to crochet during one of those trips. Sweet to hear you mention it, thus. And, a funny coincidence, I spent time stalking West Yorkshire Spinners self-striping 4 ply sock yarn yesterday. I ordered some, too… I want to try the Rum Paradise, Peacock, and Pheasant colorways. It will be fun to see your socks when you get to knitting those up!!!
Oh wow those color ways are amazing!! Thanks for sharing!! We’re glad we could help you reminisce for a bit 🥰🥰
Loved this episode. Watching you two banter back and forth is definitely a highlight. If I recall the question for this podcast correctly I think I found my approach and thoughts toward knitting changed. I value my knitting time more and sometimes get irritated now that things are opening up here and the opportunity to meet and do things cut into my knitting time. I hope you both have a great 2 weeks, looking forward to seeing more of the shop hop previews.
Hi Sharon - Yes, totally value my knitting time and am now finding I have less time.
I can’t wait to see the rest of your sock hop next time! What a fun episode 💚 And I’m super excited to see y’all’s Christmas stockings this year 🥰
Hi friend! Thanks for stopping by! Sorry we missed your live but we’re glad we caught it after! 🥰
Love watching you both. The yarn colorways are beautiful. Ray love all the singing. You guys never get old. Your humor is enjoyable. Honest and loveable. Stayed to the end
Thank you so much Sharon :)
Fun and more fun. Love you two. Great ideas. Wish I had so many different yarn shops near me. I have one and it’s not friendly. When we lived in NH I had so many choices. I love the community there and miss it here in the panhandle of Florida.
Aww sorry you don’t have a welcoming LYS! Maybe you should start one…we’ll happily be your first customers 🥰🥰
I love you showcasing reasonably priced yarns. I wish I could afford hand painted skeins, but it is what it is.
Thank you, we try to show a little of everything.
Loved visiting the yarn shops through the two of you! Thanks for sharing!
Hi Angie - Glad to hear that you enjoyed that segment.
Thanks for the heads up on the Rowan Ocean Blue Book
You’re welcome!! It’s got so many nice patterns and pictures 😃
I so loved this episode, you guys are so funny and enjoyable to listen to. Of course I enjoy all of your episodes.
Love Ray’s socks. Will be winding some yarn for the Vertices shawl this weekend. And by the way I am Quilting Princesse’s Mom!
Ohh well hello 👋 You have a very creative and talented daughter (we’re sure you know that 😉) Can’t wait to see your progress!! Thanks so much for stopping by!
Love the shawl! Might have to knit one. You two are amazing! I really enjoy visiting with you
Thanks Brit!! We love hanging out with all of you too!! ❤️❤️
Great podcast as always. Thank you! Ray, if you are worried about the dye in your socks running, you can add citric acid or vinegar to the bath to stabilize the color. Or if you have leftover of the darker shade you can try washing that and seeing what happens. really nice colors.
Thanks so much! That’s a great idea actually! But they were washed and I’m happy to report there was no bleeding! Yay 😁
It’s interesting that I can’t imagine you two nervous about anything, you are just the coolest laid back guys :)
LOL don't know why that was nerve wrecking for me :)
Kevin.....2 books in my must have (4 sons). ..Knits Men Want by Bruce Weinstein (my favorite), and Rowan Journeyman (for my Honey). Love you two 😘😘😘
Before pandemic, I was a clerk at a health clinic; now, I wear my cologne and knit for an hour before leaving for my new job as manager of a frame shop. Ray, I think you would finish your sweater in time. It's looking great! I know you are loyal to your test knit though. The socks and everything else are beautiful, too. Kevin, what's that garment you're knitting? By who'd you say? Very nice. You superhero! Thanks for the lo-down on the shops--good to know when I visit my sister in Bethany. Glad you're taking time to enjoy the summer. We all need some fun. ❤ --KateColors
Hiya Kate!! Congrats on the career change!! Thanks for the kind words and spending some time with us 🥰🥰
Its so nice seeing all these shops local to you. Thank you for sharing the pictures as well. It was like I got to go too even though I live across the country.
Thank you so much, glad you enjoyed that segment.
“We’re at two hours. Are people still here?” 😂🤣 YES! But watched in segments on lunch breaks at work. 😉
Lol 😂 thanks so much for hanging out with us and staying through to the end 🥰🥰
Loved your podcast. You have the best colors. happy knitting.
Thanks Audrey!! Glad you stopped by to say hi 🥰
Whenever I see you posted a new podcast I audibly say “yes” 😂🥰
Aww thank you so much!!!
me too a little happy dance may happen too
Me three...hehe🤗
Same!
Oh my goodness, I just watched you for the first time and I’m a new die-hard fan. Love your banter and energy. The power ranger thing made me laugh out loud! Thanks for podcasting 💗
Aww thank you!! We are so happy you came by to say hello 🥰🥰
Kevin was right on the money with people in Connecticut not being able to drive anymore (I live in Manchester). It's crazy out there! Thank you for your review of some of the shop hop shops. Can't wait to check them out myself. Take care.
Yay! Glad we were able to share our experience! It was really fun 🥰
Ray's presentation of his socks was stellar. Lots of camera exposure and beautifully explained. Thx
Thank you Shana!!
New subscriber here! You showed up in my feed and I am sooo glad you did! Watched the whole thing! In MD here and wish I could visit some of the shops you went to! You guys are great!
Hi! Thanks so much for checking us out, we’re glad you enjoyed it 🥰 Welcome to our little community ❤️❤️
Dear Kevin and Ray, the podcast was packed with yarnful goodies, I loved it. Volume is better but could be a bit louder. I knit for my husband. I found Rowan to be the best commercial source for men's patterns. Arne and Carlos design for Rowan. If you like colorworks their designs are fab! Also I just finished a garment using island blend yarn. So dreamy I went back for more and started garment #2! Wish I was closer so I could meet you. Your fan, Karol
Yes their patterns are great! We’ve done some of their colorwork and totally agree with you 😁
My daily routine hasn’t changed much as I work in a grocery store and have been working full time (plus) since the pandemic started. One thing that changed recently is that I attended a church service inside the building for the first time in many months. Our church closed in mid March of 2020. We were determined to celebrate Easter as a congregation, so the elders came up with the plan to have drive-in services. Everyone parked in rows in the parking lot facing the church, Pastor Jon would come out on the landing for the handicap ramp and preach. The service was broadcast over the car radios, and communion was at the end, everyone would line up and drive under the roof overhang, receive communion, drop their offerings and head home. It was a wonderful idea, because we could all worship as a congregation but still maintain safety procedures.
Hi Carolyn - Happy to hear that you are able to attend church services again. The easter one was very creative.
You guys are so fun to watch! Love your podcasts! I don’t knit but crochet a tons. Enjoy seeing your “makes” and the yarny talk. Got my coffee and crochet project…..ready to sit and watch!
Thank you so much, we really appreciate you watching and commenting.
I started my very first sweater. So far it's going well. Love the channel ♥️
Yay!! Congrats!! What pattern are you using??
@@NeedlesattheReadyPodcast flax sweater by tin can knits. It's so fun!
I just told my sister I've missed you guys. And there you are. Just made my night.
Thank you so much Catherine!
Poison Ivy is incredible. Can't wait to see it in your shop someday. I'll be standing in line.🤗
Aww thanks!! It was a really fun one to dye up 🥰
Watched you for the first time in my little mountain town in British Columbia - loved every minute of it!
Aww thanks so much!! And welcome to our little corner of UA-cam!! Nice to meet you 🥰
I'm really enjoying the shop hop reviews. One of these days I'm going to have to visit your area and check them out.
Thank you! They were so much fun to visit!! If you’re ever in the area, let us know 😁
Question of the day: I work in a scent free office, so now that I am home working, I wear perfume almost every day. Enjoyed the shop hop even though I am in Canada. Happy fortnight to you both
Hi Laura - Thank you so much for watching and commenting.
Hi Guys, Nothing much has changed for me, I'm retired. I don't go out much and I'm certainly not going anywhere during this obnoxious Southern California heat wave . How many people swooned when you walked into their store?? Ray when you called Kevin an a**hole, I spit my drink everywhere. I called my hubby something much worse this morning, all in love of course. Ray I watched General Hospital in the 60's when it was black and white and the entire show was shot in front of the 8th floor nurses station. Great podcast, thank you......
Hi Guys, aways enjoy your banter, i am not always able to catch you when you show your podcast as i am in the UK but love catching up when i can. keep on knitting. xxx
Thank you so much Alma!
Thank you so much for sharing your tour of yarn stores. What a labor of love! Your yarn choices were gorgeous! I am currently knitting Jessie Maed's Outline Tee in the Berroco Remix Light. It has been a pleasure to work with...am just a little nervous about the dropped stitches at the end due to the texture of the yarn. Thank you again!
Omg what an awesome pattern!! Can’t wait to see it finished! 🥰🥰
Yes, yes, yes! A public driving refresher course. And a basic manners course as well!
Yes to both of those lol.
I do my socks in tandem on 9” circs too! So great! I LOVE your fade socks!!
Thank you so much!! 🥰🥰
Hi guys, love your episodes. My big change pre to post pandemic is I learned to make time for myself. Pre pandemic I would fill my time with friends, family, and obligations to the point of exhaustion. Post pandemic, I have learned the importance of taking care of me ~ Devynn.
Yes!!! I realized how much I really enjoy being at home during this. Thank you so much for watching Devynn.
OMG I loved Santa Barbara! Cruz and Eden! Robin Wright was the younger sister. So young. I love that you remember that one Kevin!
Oh, I recently did 2 sweaters out of the Remix. The Weekender in the Remix, same color as you got. It's great - has a sort of cotton-y feel to it so should be good for not super cold weather. I did the Yume out of the Remix Light, and it's' a great summer sweater, very light. Both good yarns.
Yes Cruz and Eden, I remember Eden having some crazy store line.
Hey guys...can hear you so much better than the lat time...great job...live the video...definitely a thumbs up. Take care.
Hi Kenneth - Glad the volume was better, thank you for letting us know.
Just a new subscriber here from the Florida Keys and the Philippines! From now on I will be watching you because I click the notification bell! You both look lovely! I will be digging into your channel after I send this message! Take care always!
Aww thanks so much!! Welcome to our little community! We are glad to have you 🥰🥰
Such a great episode! (I watched it over several days!) Beautiful creations and everything! F.O.s and W.I.P.s. Those shawls, hat, socks, sweaters....That green yarn in your Ranger! Your latest dyed yarns! The Shop Hop and treasures. Whew! Best wishes for more July and summer.
Thanks friend!! We’re glad you enjoyed it. We had so much fun this week 🥰 See you next time ❤️
So enjoyed your chat Thankyou
Thanks Mary!! We really love doing these so much and getting a chance to “meet” you all 🥰
Yay an episode! I’ve been tuning in during my little ones nap time for about a year now and finding all the knitting inspiration. I need to wind up and cast a skein of Kevin’s DK yarn from I think the first or second update to make my husband the Lyle cap.
Aww thank you Danielle!! We’d love to see your progress 🥰🥰
Thank you so much. Always love your podcasts, but this one … can’t wait to take a field trip I’m in RI) to some of these shops. Really appreciate all you do!
Hi Renee! Thanks so much!! If you make the trip, let us know 🥰
Happy Birthday, Ritchie! :) It's always so great to watch you guys with my morning coffee.
Thank you Valorie!!!
Oh my gosh! Lol. So much info, I’m gonna have to watch it again. Actually working on a test pattern I wrote this weekend while I was watching the podcast tonight, guys. You’re always such wonderful, crafting company. Have a great two weeks!
Aww thank you! We love hearing comments like this! We totally feel the same way!! Congrats on writing a pattern!! That’s awesome 🤩
Loved the podcast as usual. I agree Kevin people’s driving skills have really taken a nose dive! I live in northern Virginia the traffic has always been bad didn’t think it could get worse but I was wrong. Wish I was in your area I would love to do the shop hop.
Hi Joan - The driving is out of control lol.
The first time I saw Max's new shawl I was so excited about the design and the colour use! Yours is stunning as well. I can't wait to knit this! It is gorgeous. Also great work both of you on the vertices. Love it!!
Thanks so much!! His pattern should come out sometime in August 🥰
Great podcast loved that it was a couple of hours keep up the great work love you guys x
Thank you so much! We had a ton of fun 🥰🥰
My understanding is that if you put vinegar in the water it keeps things from running. Can’t hurt either way. I love listening to you both. You have so much fun. Thank you 😊
Hi Meg - Vinegar can help, if yarn is bleeding I will use it in warm water to try and get the dye to absorb in the yarn.
Those green sleeves are an absolutely gorgeous color way. Sweater is going to be wonderful.
Thank you Jessy.
Great podcast and loved hearing all about the yarn stores, what a wonderful adventure. Wish I was closer and could do the "tour" myself. Love Ray's shawl and will check out this movie, The Black Widow, you two recommended.
Thank you!! If you like superhero movies and the Avengers, you will love it!! 🥰
Great show. Thank you for all the inspiration and information on patterns and yarn.
Your knits are always so good.
I also knit on 9-inch circulars, I'll be really interested to hear how you like the Hiya Hiya Flyers.
Take care and look forward to seeing you in a couple of weeks.
Thanks so much Dee! We’re so glad we were able to get out the information and have fun along the way 🥰
I watched the WHOLE show!!
Soooo fun, and so full of interesting things to check out! You guys are so funny and so lovable!
Thank you for lots of ideas and good information! ❤️❤️
Thank you Cynthia!!
So I finally took your suggestion and got connected with Ali at Savvy Skeins. Have to tell you, it was a comedy of errors, but she did an amazing job getting me a great yarn combo for a crochet shawl. Thank you for sharing.
Oh that’s so awesome!! She’s so great 🥰
@@NeedlesattheReadyPodcast don't I know...I almost showed up at her house unnanounced!
I love your SBY socks SO MUCH!!!!! I must have some of that yarn in my life!!! Let the stalking commence😏
Hi friend!! Stalk away!! Ps we are BEYOND jealous you and Aaron get to hang out!! Our turn with you better come soon! Lol 😂🥰🥰🥰
Love that hat, Kevin! Great job & great choices!
Thank you Lynne!
Ray, that Opus shawl!! Whew! Looks wonderful! I'll be buying that pattern when it's released.
Yay thank you!! It’s been a lot of fun! Can’t wait to see others knit up too 🥳
Loved this episode! Thank you
Thanks Diana!! We loved recording it and sharing with you all 🥰
I was bracing myself for the 9 inch proclamation (lol) and tried not to laugh but laughed out loud. When you hit us with another one towards the end of the podcast I couldn’t even. Great podcast as usual. Loved the yarn stores stories. So much fun. You are lucky to have so many stores. See you in a couple of weeks. Your friend from Florida. ❤️❤️
Thank you so much Regina.
Every time I watch you I’m reminded we ARE friends 😂 so happy to hear you feel the same when you connect with other podcasters. It really is that feeling when you have accompanied the episodes as they are recorded. Loved seeing the yarn and info on the shops and the “watching” segment. Lots of similar thoughts as mine, from Luca to Virgin River to Infinite. See you in a fortnight friends. 😂
Hi Olivia - Thank you so much for watching and commenting, we really appreciate it.
I just have to say, that thanks to you two, my husband now wants not just Dotted Rays but also Vertices Unite! And Vertices he wants some of his spinning used, (he hasn’t spun it yet). You can stop making more work for me now, ok thanks. 😜😁😁😁thanks for your show!
Haha 😂 sorry…at least they are garter stitch lol 🥰
great show as usual Thank you
Thank you Brenda!
“I didn’t get a piece of cake, son of a bitch” my lol moment. Thanks for great knit and enjoyment!
Haha 😂🥰🥰
Just started watching you guys and loving your podcast. Now, I’m starting from the beginning. Does everyone but me know what you do for work?
Hi Susan! Thanks for checking us out! It’s good to have you here! Ray is a nurse and Kevin works for a large food industry company (and now dyes yarn) 😉❤️
Another great show!! Loved hearing about the Shop Hop- I live in New Hampshire and it’s very doable for my daughter and I.
Hi Carol - Glad to hear that you enjoyed that segment, we have had a lot of fun visiting all of the stores.
I crocheted a hat similar to Kevin's knitted one. It was all back loop single crochet and it was super slouchy and I just did it with cheap acrylic yarn. It was so squishy and soft and warm and fabulous lol.
That is awesome Lacy!!
Wow ! How popular you have become! I want to thank you for sharing and keeping us all company in such a difficult time. I am reading “The Sweetness of Water “ by Nathan Harris. Very good read and there is knitting it it !
Hi Kathy - Thank you so much for watching and the book suggestion.
Just got my NATR pin! Love it! Thanks ❤️💕
Hi Marianne - Thank you so much, we really appreciate you ordering one. Glad that you like it.
Okay Kevin you should totally be a model in the Rowan magazine. love the podcast and I am so happy when I see :new podcasts.
Thank you so much Judy!
I went to village wool that same day before Knit New Haven. I had never heard of it and wanted to check it out. I must have been just behind you guys all day lol
Omg I bet you totally were!! I wish we didn’t have to leave right when you got to new Haven. We’ll have to hang out soon 🥰
Hi guys. Great work as always. I never get tired of you two and the interaction, you both bring to the podcast. I’ll be back 💖
Thank you so much Consuelo!
Luv you guys!!
Perfect thing to do this afternoon,
(Ok, it's 111° outside and it's only 2:30) watch you & frog 1/2 of the beanie I started.....I miscounted ONE row....🙄
I hate fireworks, my neighbors were using professional-grade aerials for hours and hours and hours I think they stopped at 4:00am, they started up again the next afternoon......
Central California & fire season...sigh.
I have a good friend in Florida, she was supposed to be in the path of Elsa..... nothing...& She was READY!!!
I really don't do anything different since the pandemic, I retired about a year before, I've always been if I want to go someplace I go, but I prefer to stay home.. I'm just glad I don't have to wear a mask anymore..
I have both the 4&5" sets of chiaogoo, It really does make a difference...
I LOVE your yarn hauls!!!!
I'm adore that malabrigo!! 💕
There's no lys near me....😢
GAWD, I NEED that nailfile!!!!
Always snagging something!!
Jimmy Beans Wools online had Mad tosh mystery bags, fantastic price, sooooo I got one (ok, 3, maybe 4.....I picked "earthy") & one of them had the PERFECT fade set...it was tosh mo lite...the middle color?? WOLF!!! With black (that I'm sure is onyx) and a light brown.... It's now my new favorite color!!!! Most of the hanks had "one of a kind" on them.. that one still had the name label.....
Until next time. 💕
Hi Patti - The nail file is going to me so good to have. We want to try the mystery bag once.
You’ve had every opportunity to touch my yarn!! 🤣 love it
Haha 😂
Loved the whole podcast.
Thanks so much Marcia! We had a lot of fun with this one too 🥰
Wishing I lived close to your local yarn stores, this shop hop sounds like so much fun! See you again in a fort night!
Watched you guys during the “household chores” section of my day. Kept me company while I was doing dishes and folding laundry. Then I got to sit down and knit for the last part of the podcast. So nice that it was a long one 🤣 I am always on the lookout for good knits for men. Two sons snd a husband to knit for and I never know what to make
It was a lot of fun checking out the shops 😊 see you in a fortnight 🥰🥰
Both yours Vertices United look great! I was working on third section of main while watching your podcast!
Thank you Talya!! Once you are done with that section, the rest will fly of the needles.
@@NeedlesattheReadyPodcast I feel like it is a biggest section, and I am not looking forward to knit i-cord edge 🧶
Love all the projects! Thank you for taking us on the Shop Hop journey with you. Ray, I’m not the best joining front/back panels or sleeves. The only way I can get mine to look good is by crocheting together. I like having both sides facing each other and all stitches matching up (unless a cast on is needed for more stitches) and chain stitch them together. I hope this makes sense.
It totally makes sense! Thank you, I may just do that if I can’t get these together 🥰
Kevin, I have a CSM. It has a steep learning curve but they are so much fun!!!! Ray, there's a long wait list for a Gearhart, so it would be a sort of spontaneous purchase.
You’re totally right about that! A few of our friends are getting one but the wait time is super long!
@@NeedlesattheReadyPodcast I think I had a 2 month wait period and that was a little under a year ago.
Oh Ray…. Please make sure you knit Kevin a malabringo mechita sockhead hat for the next ten years as his Christmas present! 🤣🤣👍🏻👍🏻
OMG he totally should :)
Love you guys! Thank you for a fun, informative episode!
Hi Marie - Thank you so much for watching, we really appreicate it.
U guys make me laugh so much- had to watch in 2 sittings, 2 giant mugs of tea, 3 toilet breaks and a successful heel turn! I need to make more effort to find yarn shops near me, it was great to see all your purchases. Also I love Virgin River, Kevin.. such easy watching and jack is very easy on the eye!. I don’t know if you get bbc iPlayer but you should try and find Normal People to watch- honestly the best thing I watched this last year.
Oh I don’t think we get that but we’ll totally check 🥰
OK, so I had to look up what a shop hop is, I think our nearest equivalent in the UK is LYS day, when we try to support our local Yarn shops. As to WYS, that is my go to knit for comfort sock knitting (when you cannot concentrate on anything, but you need to knit something) as the yarn does all the work for a vanilla sock.
During the pandemic our Gin & Knitting group have tried to support as many indie shops and dyers by buying something each month... it's tough, but we are pushing through despite our bank manager's approbation!
Hi - Our shop hop sounds just like your LYS day, it use to be over 1 weekend, this year they have changed it to a 2 week timeframe.
To console ourselves during the pandemic, we have picked up some bad eating habits. Those little cookies that remind me of Kit Kat, Diet Coke, stove top stuffing (what?!) and those drumstick type ice cream cones with vanilla ice cream, caramel, and dipped in chocolate and nuts! We are both in our 60s, and we have just recently realized how bad this food is for the brain. We are now changing our diet! I love your long episodes! I knit 45 rounds on my husband's 72 stitch socks during the episode! 😁💗
Aww thank you so much!! Those ice cream cones are soooo good!! 🥰🥰
@@NeedlesattheReadyPodcast Meant to say I knit 45 rounds during your podcast! How did that decimal sneak in? 😳
