- I LEARNED HOW TO FREEDIVE! Right here in India!
Visiting the Andaman Islands has been a DREAM come true and I'm so excited to share my freediving journey! The waters of Andaman and Nicobar are BEAUTIFUL and an amazing place for anyone who wants to scuba dive or learn freediving!
I did my freediving course with Shubham Pandey at ScubaLov dive school in Havelock island and it was a WONDERFUL experience! The course started with some theory, includes a breathing workshop, followed by intensive practice sessions, and finally, fun diving where I got to see such beautiful marine life!
I never thought I'd be able to learn freediving in India, but I did the course with SSI right here in Havelock island in the Andamans, and even though I didn't clear the 10-meter depth requirement, I've still learned the theory and practical aspects of it and can freedive as much as my body allows me, anywhere in the world! It's so exciting to be able to dive without any equipment whenever I want! With a buddy, of course. I'm also so much more confident in the water now!
This video has everything you'd want to know about the course, and my own journey of discovering my limits, pushing them, dealing with failure, and coming out on the other side. I hope you like it!

Is there any prerequisite for this course? I have never done diving before.
For freediving, you need to know how to swim. That’s all! The course is very different from scuba diving and you’ll learn everything on the go!

I was living in bangalore for more than 16 years I was also there in Goa.Bangalore was like a second home to me

Are there any prerequisites for this? Like swimming requirements, etc
For the freediving certification, you need to be able to know how to swim and have a decent level of fitness. You’ll learn breathwork over the length of the course and everything else will be taught to you.

As someone who sees herself getting to where you are in terms of diving et al (psst I'm yet to learn swimming 🥲). I know I'll get there soon. I digress. .., right.. could you perhaps create a video here or on ig about the different ways of diving. Different ways to experience the ocean maybe? All the terms go a bit over my head. 😅 Thank you.
