  • I still can't believe how one of the fish was landed. Went out in the San Francisco Bay on the Butter Boat targeting California Halibut. The goal was to catch a keeper or two and do a catch and cook. We caught several fish for the day and had a blast. Will be back out soon for another shot!

If you were curious, here are the links to the swimming mullet I used plus the Keitech, reel and line in the video.
Also, I'm going to be giving away 100 new Fisherman's Life caps and 100 T-shirts in person in about a month or so. Any extra's and I'll pick winners and ship them out. Just a thank you for everyone supporting the channel. You are all the best! I'm always amazed how positive 99.999% of the comments always are. Stay tune for the announcement for when and where coming soon!

Noticed you hook your hooks through the actual eyelet on your rods for storage and traveling, I was taught when I was a kid to never do that as it scars up your eyelets on your rod, putting more friction on your line, reducing line life and casting distance. Was told to use the eyelet support openings or the rods built in hook eyelet. Not trolling, just something that has stuck with me through 40+ years of fishing. You have the best NorCal fishing vids out there! Keep it up please!

If you’re worried about popping your RIB there is a company that does bed liners for trucks called linex. They have a good semi flexible material they could spray pretty cheap onto the edge of your boat, and as long as you never deflate you wouldn’t have to worry about bending the linex.

I love and miss Halibut fishing. I especially miss eating them lol. I live in Oklahoma now and there's not too many Halibut caught here, if any to my knowledge lol. My favorite way of targeting them waas from the surf using hardbait. On the kayak or boat, nothing is better than sardines, chovies, small mack, or smelt on the slow drift. With artificial, I like to bounce ball it. Great videos!!!!!

You should do a 50 state tour for fishing. That would be awesome

Nice bro! They make a plastic cut plug jig so you're angle on the bait will be right everytime, we also salt/brine ours to make em tough. if you're tying you're own bait rig about 3 fingers between hooks is the right space. Im ready for y'all to hook a king the butta boat!!

At least you didn't get skunked. Good bite on the swim bait.
