Great idea to do comparisons. You really do need to taste things together to establish your favorite. It would be great to have 3 to 5 people tasting at one time to see what most people prefer as you suggested.
When we first moved to Japan, my wife was all about the milk tea. Her favorite is Kirin. I liked the Lipton one, but I haven't seen that around for some time.
I like the Kochakaden Royal Milk Tea the most since it’s not too sweet or milky tasting. The Lipton one that can’t be found anymore tasted very similar to it.
I love these teas in Japan. especially the hot ones from the convenience store on a chilly winter's day. Always wished they were not quite as sweet but definitely a treat if regarded as a dessert. I was also wondering where the"royal" label came from...
you don't give your drink a little shake before you drink it? I can find the royal milk tea (2nd one) & the Kocha Kaden (3rd one) here but I usually get the 3rd one. If I had a choice and if it was cheaper here, I'd get the royal milk tea
Matt, blind test would be the fairest way to judge a product that requires your taste bud. Have yourself blindfolded and have Kit give you the products as you begin tthe test blindfolded. Thanks.b Hwo about testing instant noodles in cups. There's so much selection at my local Japanese store I don['t know what to get. Thanks.
I live in Canada and the "best one" you ranked is the only one we got here :P Im drinking it now :D

I only tried the royal milk tea and the ucc one. We buy ucc by the case when it goes on sale, pricey but it lasts a while.

Oh, I've never seen the Lipton one. 😳

Royal milk tea is the best in my view
