As a vikings fan, if we resign darnold I will lose my mind. Absolutely love what Sam has done this season but we are not competitors with him. 11-2 or not, he is not that guy and despite a career best season he has shown that this year. Though we will likely be worse next year with JJ as our QB, he is the future and resigning Sam long term to big money will be crippling
@ obviously yes there is zero way of me actually knowing if we will be better. But I can have faith that the rookie QB we drafted will develop. My bigger point is I know pretty certainly bringing back Darnold on a long term deal is a bad idea
Rough spot. I don’t envy the Vikings right now. Taking a guaranteed step back to take 2 “potential” steps forward is a bizarre predicament. If Sam wins a playoff game this will get very interesting.
@@axe2grind244 not ideal fs, but I think it’s all about the process. I agree if darnold can win a playoff game or two we are in a very different situation. I just can’t see that happening if I’m honest though. I also think I may be much higher on JJ then most, despite it only being one preseason game I really liked what I saw from him, and I think the talent in this offence alongside KOC’s play calling can protect a QB from himself while he learns.
As a Vikings fan I agree. Kwesi and KOC will most likely make the correct decision and will let Sam walk to Tennessee or to whomever wants to sign him. JJ is the building block, it shows how well this system works with the correct players, and how much the culture is predominate here. In a depart where we were coming into it tryna build a rookie QB and defensive player, we stumbled into one the best records in football without even going all in trying too. That speaks volumes as to who the Minnesota Vikings truly are and can be.
Ya know I thought listening to what happened in the Bills game in ASMR form would make me calm down a bit from what happened……it hasn’t. A blocked punt touchdown 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
I’m a Vikings fan I thought booing him was lame. A couple seasons ago he brought the most fun season I’ve ever seen the Vikings play since I’ve been alive (ignoring playoff performance)
I thought the Simpson one was much better than others. The plays looked like what was happening for the most part. Previously they couldn’t even spot the ball right haha
I want to get into nfl so bad I used to play but idk where to start. I’ve been watching clips and games from the 60s-90s, I find learning the history and crazy plays more interesting honestly. Idk what the Immaculate Reception was but damn that was cool. It seems like modern football is really stale and repetitive Ik its just a sport but I haven’t heard anything interesting or crazy in years

Saying you’re gonna be better with JJ in the long run when he hasn’t started a single game in the nfl is honestly an insane take

Being a Titans fan is horrible. Worst part is we have no choice but to run it back with Levis next year and tank for Arch
