1:11:15 I especially enjoy the Shenmue section discussion and game clips. A fantastic game and even better sequel. I remember picking up the disk at Electronics Boutique. It was the day that it rained. I ran home on the narrow street, stopping only to pet a stray cat. A black car almost side swiped me in my rush. Through the yard gate and into the home I ran, past our housekeeper Ini-san, and popped it into my game system. Well, that is how I remember it.
Thank you for this series. The Dreamcast is my favorite console, and I'm loving this journey. Of the games in this chapter, I've only played two: Shenmue (my favorite by far, a game so wonderful that it's hard to explain everything that's good about it) and Resident Evil 2 (which I only played halfway through, because I didn't like it... only the first one really enchanted me). I hope you have the strength and patience to get to the end of the list of games. Greetings from Brazil.
I'm so glad Dreamquest is back. Started my yearly* Shenmue play through the other week. *to be fair it's been a few years since my last yearly playthrough but I've got kids and a mortgage and a grown-up job and all that now.
You can get the Saturn Twin sticks for Virtual On and use an adapter. They are usually a good bit cheaper than the DC ones. Also a few other Saturn games support them, like Gundam Blue Destiny . I used to own the cabinet for the 1st game, it was amazing. It is basically unplayable with a standard controller imo.
Oh great memories of my Dreamcast. I remember when I played Shenmue for the very first time with a dictionary help because I'm Brazilian my English level increases already after Shenmue. And I absolutely love the Yamazaki Joke comparing with Go West song. Waiting to the next part. Greetings from Brazil Muel.
Would love to hear a full version of the 8:20 track ha. This is my favourite game channel, its got that late night UK show vibe in the 90s, but about what we were actually playing in the 90s

Good stuff Didn’t SEGA get sued by that “Groove is in the Heart” band? They claimed Ooh-La-La was based on the lead singer. Di-Da-La-La or something. I dunno. I was four when they song came out 😮
Yeah I believe she took Sega to court claiming that they'd stolen her likeness or whatever but she lost the case, ultimately. Crazy. She probably had a point, to fair! I mean I was only like 6 myself when the song came out but I think the court case itself was in the mid 2000s or thereabouts? Thanks for watching.
Don't mean this in a negative way but idk if it's your commentary or accent but I get flash backs to Craig Charles commentating over Takeshis Castle. Back when I used to watch dave when watching your videos. Good video as always though
Great timing for this on the day when Sega have returned to Virtua Fighter!

Been worth watching just to hear more of your thoughts on beloved Shenmue
That board game looks and sounds like it was originally planned as a Shin Chan game, the voice actor even sounds like Shin Chan

This game will always be Kino.

A cocaine-addled northerner struggling to figure out what the hell's going on in a Japanese context? That about covers it.
I like your accent
Yay! New video! Your content is great! Will you ever do a video on Shenmue 3?
The less said about that game the better
