All About Tuning Your Double Strung Harp

Okay, fair warning...this is a 20-minute video. The tuning portion takes only a couple of minutes. Why so long then? I wanted to take time to walk you through, not just the tuning, but the tools, techniques, and also some of the nuts and bolts behind the tuning of your double-strung harp. Do you have any tips about keeping humidity at a good level? What do you do?

I use a small humidifier in my studio. It keeps it from being super dry, but never really gets above 30 percent.

PS what is cross strung?

cross strung is a type of double strung harp where the strings are strung from the bottom on one side to the top on the other side, crossing in the middle. It's usually chromatic, which means it can be played like a piano with the sharps and flats. I have never tried one, but I would like to!
