All sold - oh no (tear tear sniffle sniffle). My g'daughter loves cars and trucks (wonder where she got that ...hmmm) so I was gonna buy one but no problem I'm very glad you sold them so quick and donated the majority! Thanks for doing that and for sharing the video of the build!
I received the Front Loader today! Thank you it is very nice! I'm sure my granddaughter will love playing with the loader. It will make a nice addition with the wood toys I've made her.
Really well thought out. I have two brand new great-nephews and thinking if i start soon, by the time they're 3 or 4, I'll have a small collection of toys for them. Thanks for sharing!
Thats an excellent project. I have made a grader and dump truck and now I have the plans to make a front end loader Thanks I enjoy watching your videos Cheers
Wow ya got this Dad been lookin for awhile to find someone that makes it easy for old guy to make for grand children's to enjoy Keep up the Great work and designing is Cool to see ya don,t hav to be Craftsman to do your Good Work thks again for Sharin ya got my Subscribe
Great video...The amount of tools and equipment you have is amazing. I have to make do with work arounds for almost everything due to the lack tools.. or shall i say lack of money to buy these awesome tools 🤣
This is good but I cannot make them at home. So, can I get something like wooden tankers, trailer, and rescue ladder? The model should be uniquely assembled and the toys must look elegant.
Wow what a beautifully made toy! Your videos are really fantastic, thanks so much for sharing. Loved the happy dance your big loader was doing holding the baby girl loader at the end too ;)
Thanks! It a design I came up with a couple years ago for my nephew. Pretty much just from looking at pictures of the real thing, I may have looked at some other toy designs for inspiration too, I don't recall. I've been using that style of cab on all his construction vehicles.
I'd like to make the toy donation an annual event so you can probably expect at least one a year. I've made a bunch for my nephew over the years, some are simpler than this and some are more complicated. I would also really like to experiment with making some lego style linear actuators and universal joints so they can actually work like the real thing.
I left them unfinished because it's unclear whether there are any finishes that wouldn't require testing under the law. It sounds like shellac would be exempt but I haven't had the best of luck applying that on complex shapes. I probably just would have done a spray lacquer otherwise.
+Mike Erceg it's at sketchup.com but try this jpg instead of sketchup. You should be able to get most/all of the info you would get from the model from this. www.krtwood.com/plans/frontendloader.jpg
beast33182 You need the program SketchUp to open it. I can't give you a tutorial on how to use the program but basically you can turn off the layers to isolate individual parts and get whatever dimensions you need. I think the file has most of the dimensions you might need already labelled.
What a great video! Had some awesome batch work, excellent tips & warnings so we don't encounter any growing pains. Thank you for sharing the Sketchup file also.
Great project and techniques!
Thanks, John!
Looks great. Glad to see some of the insights on how to do this mass production style as well.
Отличная работа!

That's awesome! I love seeing your mass production techniques. Thanks!
Matthew Cremona Thanks!

That's a great looking toy and that you give away so many is proof that there are some good people still out there. Thank you for sharing. Guy
I'm continually impressed by your production line! And it's nice to see a proud father...
Peter Brown I much prefer doing toys as a one of, but at least with so many parts to make there is always some different task to switch to.
Thats an excellent project. I have made a grader and dump truck and now I have the plans to make a front end loader Thanks I enjoy watching your videos Cheers
Jake Jacobs Thanks!
Fantastic project. Really enjoyed the commentary, running 8 units through the table saw at once was a great idea. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks!
Really enjoyed this, great design and build.
Thanks!
Great vid! I made a semi truck and trailer for my final grade in high school out of scrap wood. Glad I found your video.
cool!
It really looks very complicated, but in the end looks beautiful, nice toy!
Im sure kids love the front end loader. And you always produce great videos.
Thanks!
Felicidades, eres Ud. todo un artista que hermoso trabajo..

Very cool! That's awesome that your donating them, they'll love it. LOL "She's got your bucket" Good stuff!
Her bucket really looks nothing like his, but what can you say? ;)
Great video...The amount of tools and equipment you have is amazing. I have to make do with work arounds for almost everything due to the lack tools.. or shall i say lack of money to buy these awesome tools 🤣
"March of the wooden loaders"... Good job!
Thanks!

Rocking the baby front loader made me laugh. Good stuff dude.
Andrew James I was going to start handing it 25 kids and have it freak out and run away, but I decided to go with the happy ending :)
Wow what a beautifully made toy! Your videos are really fantastic, thanks so much for sharing. Loved the happy dance your big loader was doing holding the baby girl loader at the end too ;)

Andrea Arzensek Thanks!
Fantastic, love the production line
Nice Work, really good design and easy to follow
Great video and toy!
Thanks, Lynn!
Great idea and thanks for mass production demo too. You know if you give a kid one of these you'll have requests to build more.
Thank you!
Very nice! I would love to make this for my boys but I can’t seem to get the plan .. do you still have it?
Thank you :)
What about using a 1/8" aluminum or brass rod instead of an 1/8" wood dowel?
Great project....Can i get thé plan .pdf plan please?
Very cool and fun to watch!
Chris McDowell | CMR Woodworks en castellano
Awesome project..... I like making wooden toys also.
When I hear about making over 100. I think about Henry Ford. 😊
What is the wood name brother
Do you still offer the plans? I don’t see them on your website. Thank you.
Really well done video and instruction!
But there IS no plans available.....?
Woah, realy cool! Did you design them from scratch or evolve another model?
Thanks! It a design I came up with a couple years ago for my nephew. Pretty much just from looking at pictures of the real thing, I may have looked at some other toy designs for inspiration too, I don't recall. I've been using that style of cab on all his construction vehicles.
Wow,this is Art,I like it🤗
Dear Sir,
What is the software you are using at 00:22 mins?
How can i learn that?
Greetings.
SketchUp
Cool project. Thanks for sharing. You had me laughing at the end with the happy front loader :)
Maybe I missed it but did you say how you made the wheels or if you bought them at a craft store? Thanks again!
The wheels and axle pegs are store bought. Pretty much all the usual woodworking supply places carry them.
Nice scale up approaches, K. It was as if the toy was designed to the specification of the tools you had. hmmm.
Though all you really need is a table saw, small band saw, and drill press.
I am a little disappointed they sold out, I wanted to buy one for my son. May be next time.
You can always build one :)
ha! good one, my version would probably end up looking like a 300 BC horse drawn carriage and take 3 months to complete.
The Nomadic Polywright Show
Well, I would like to see that then :)
Looks awesome man! Keep up the videos and great work!
Just bought one of the loaders...can't wait to get it! Hopefully there will be more wooden toy projects in the future!
guitar5guitar
I really appreciate the support!
Wow that is an awesome toy loader! Are there plans for other upcoming wooden heavy equipments? You did a very nice job on them!!
I'd like to make the toy donation an annual event so you can probably expect at least one a year. I've made a bunch for my nephew over the years, some are simpler than this and some are more complicated. I would also really like to experiment with making some lego style linear actuators and universal joints so they can actually work like the real thing.
How many hours went into making 25?
I'll bet you use the remote controlled one to clean the floor.
:) If only it were faster...
krtwood But it would be more fun... lol Thanks for the video. Thumb's up for the donation. Very nice of you!
Great toy! Is it possible to get more detailed plans for making it?
You should be able to figure it out based on the drawing and the video. If you have specific questions I can try to answer them.
Beautiful! How did you finish them?
I left them unfinished because it's unclear whether there are any finishes that wouldn't require testing under the law. It sounds like shellac would be exempt but I haven't had the best of luck applying that on complex shapes. I probably just would have done a spray lacquer otherwise.
Very cool, thanks for sharing !
cool toys
