Sold my rv motorhome and tow car this year, was one of smartest decisions that I have made in my life. Tired of all the high prices on camping areas and gas fill ups. All of you guys have a good time on the road. After 60 years of camping I have finally jumped ship. And yes I'm a Navy man.

My buddy came to the same conclusion. Basically fly where you want to go, at the hotel, they put on clean sheets, the restaurant does the dishes, and overall for a year, the cost is less than making $500 payments 12 times a year.

I’ve been through hell trying to renew my class A registration in CA this year! They happily took my money for the registration fee but won’t actually issue my registration stickers to me because it won’t pass CARB compliance. And my RV was built in CA! Just too long ago….. needless to say, I’m moving away. Fingers in the air!

When the tourist business begins to collapse in those states and the seasonal revenue keeps falling, the politicians will claim that if those revenues continue to drop then they will have to make it up from other sources, which mean raising existing taxes or creating new taxes. It won't take as big of a hit as you might think. They aren't banning people from other states driving their RVs in California. They are just preventing new ones from being sold and registered there. So the large chunk of tourists who are from other states will still come, for a while anyway. In addition to that, many of the people who would have bought a motorhome will just switch to a truck and trailer. They will probably lose most of their tourism eventually for other reasons, not this. They will also see a huge chunk of their economy collapse as RV businesses close and repair facilities go away. And the gas price hikes won't help either.

Actually 26% of the electricity in Texas comes from wind power, and 10% from solar power. IT is improving over time. Iowa is 75% wind power. California is about 15% solar power and some part is wind and geothermal power. So it is less polluting than you might think. And the electric cars are much faster than any gas car I have ever been in. They also run 100 miles on 25 KW of power, about $5 or so if you are paying $0.20 per KW. Not the $20 in gas for a 20 MPG car.

I understand the idea behind these laws, but without viable and affordable alternatives I think it's too heavy-handed. We're going to very quickly see the availability of older models drop to zero, since people will be buying them all up and holding onto what they have. For newer models that eventually utilize EV technology, not only are there still not enough EV charging infrastructure widely available in all States, but the cost of these eventual new RV's that meet the new standards is going to be astronomical. On top of that, I can see this having a measurable effect on the tourism industry across the US, in particular the affected States. I'm also curious what the weight of future RV's will be, and if it will dramatically reduce the load they can carry. Seems like it will be only the wealthy who will be able to afford to travel in the near future.

Unfortunately the industry doesn’t change until it’s forced to change through laws and government incentives. If nothing is done, companies just keep lowering the quality to make the most profit. Just look at any new RV, appliance, etc. We can’t keep making crap that pollutes the air and fills the landfill. The lifespan of furnaces and windows is now 15 years, if you’re lucky… used to be 40+ years. We can’t continue like this and we have to consider the world we’re leaving to our grandchildren. VERY MISLEADING!! I understand your desire to maximize your clicks (and therefore earned money), but you (and many other U-tubers) should be honest with your viewers and START OFF by stating that only the SALE of NEW motorized RVs will be restricted in certain multiple states. Yes, I recognize that will have significant impact on RV MANUFACTURERS, but the impact to the RV community as a whole (most of whom don’t go around and buy new motorized RVs every year or two) will be much much less. I recognize it will impact some portion of RV community, but we as rationale humans have to understand that we cant’t just continue to live our lives in whatever way we wish, and continuing to do so will continue to hurt us all, and more specifically poorest people, who probably could never have afforded to buy an RV. Those of us who care for the greater good need to just pull up our big boy and big girl pants and deal with the fact that some of our options are now being restricted (and NOT BANNED) as you’ve implied.

If you don’t pick up an EV pass to drive through a state and you’re pulled over it will be 3x the cost of an EV pass.
EV passes will start at $100 and good for 30 days. It will be an expensive drive through the fly over states.

This does not affect RVs driving into the states, other than in higher gas prices.
So, for people in those states... Buy an RV from another state and register it is a different state. There are organizations who cater to full-timers who facilitate RV registration in states with lower RV registration costs and now which also allow RVs to be registered. These same organizations will forward mail and other things full-timers need, but just the RV registration may be what someone needs.

*5 Things Climate Realists Can Be Thankful For This Year*
1 - More CO2 is feeding the world - Increasing carbon dioxide levels are turbo-charging plant and crop productivity.
2 - Modern warming trend is not unusual nor unprecedented - Modern warming began more than 300 years ago, lifting us out of the death-dealing cold of the Little Ice Age (A.D. 1250 to 1850).
3 - Sea-level rise is small and not accelerating - Modern sea-level rise began in the mid-1800s and continues at about the same rate today at approximately 7 inches per century.
4 - For human advancement, warmer is better than colder - Before climate science became politicized, warm periods were referred to by scientists as “climate optima” because, for almost all species on Earth, warmer is better than colder.
5 - More CO2 means moister soil - More CO2 in the air means more moisture in the soil. With more CO2, the pores or stomata are open for shorter periods, the leaves lose less water, and more moisture remains in the soil.
