Love this era of Floyd.
Me too! When Dark Side of the Moon came out, I felt the Floyd were losing their unique magic somehow (like the Moon album more these days though)
Absolutely
@@Syd4510 I felt this with Obscured by Clouds. It was like a bridge to sound of DSOTM. In Brain Danage and Eclipse i felt the old feeling for the last time.
Pleasantly impressed with this album I prefer to listen to floyd from the Dark Side onwards.
@@stevenunett9751 The various changes in the style of music they adapted to gives a wide range of appeal. I would say most fans are most focused on the big 3, Darkside, Wish you were here and The wall. I dove into the early stuff around age 14 so I have a longtime love of all of it and all the solo releaaes. I think the fans of the big 3 would easily enjoy Obacured by Clouds and David's first and 3rd solo albums as much and even Meddle as it was truely a transitional album to progressive conceptual albums of the 70's.
Oh my god, this is the first time I'm listening to this album and when I heard the studio version of "The Afternoon" I went ecstatic! It's hands down my favorite unreleased Pink Floyd song.
Excellent I was once stuck in a cliff with a good friend of mine... The rest is history ..and the tale so tall to tell ..all I can say is I crapped myself when the tide cut us off...the power of lysergic friends..cheers...777
Hats off to Creemcheese for the blending of Embryo and Nick’s Boogie!
Very well done!
Thanks for uploading this, I love Floyd of all eras - they can't do anything wrong in my book !!
The Album : More and Fi-Cave are my Favorites --- both with a touch Blues -& fragile psychodelic - Elements - i like this Periode of the Band P-Floyd ..thx !!
I agree, I far better enjoy More and Zabriske Point PF songs and outtakes than Ummagumma or the overwrought Atom Heart Mother (personally, though I am a huge PF fanatic so I will still listen to those works, on certain blue moons). Seems like they were at their best just tossing stuff off for film soundtracks...! Pre DSOTM Floyd is the best!
@@zenpaganwarrior heretic ! :P
@@paulnolan4971 WW's words are true. Though Ummagumma is up there with them, for me.
Heart Beat Pig Meat was recorded, what, in 1969? The notions of heartbeats, pigs, and animals was present in their music even back then. One of their least known pieces.
Recorded late '69 or very early '70 for Zabriske Point, which came out Feb. '70.
The Wall is first mentioned in Set the Controls in like 68
They allegedly recorded four hours of music during this same classic time period, for an animated series called "Rollo".
I bought this boot years ago and it baffled me at the time.
WOW...This takes me back a bit. I remember having the bootleg version of this on Green Vinyl, back in the early 70's. Pretty good quality for the time as well. Probably worth a good few quid now I would think, no idea where it went TBH.....
Why aren't Floyd mentioned as pioneers of ambient music? They did this stuff way before Eno, Tangerine Dream and Cluster/Harmonia
Well said.
They're THE ambient music band!
@@Craig-dv3ji They certainly are for me
I wouldn't be surprised if Eno was influenced by Pink Floyd. His brother (also named Roger) is good friends with Gilmour and Gilmour was roommates with Phil Manzanera's older brother, Eugene. Phil Manzanera ended up in Roxy Music with Brian Eno and, years later, toured in Gilmour's backing band. Also, Gilmour played in Bryan Ferry's backing band in the 80s. So Gilmour has had a long relationship with the Roxy Music/Eno crew.
@@bobsmithradates7346 Yea, I know, though I don't think Eno liked Floyd much. I've read numerous interviews with him and he just doesn't mention them and he is quite open about the things that he likes.
This really sounds like the Pretty Things. Thank you for uploading.
this never came out as a album ?
its beautiful
This is so surreal, peaceful and trippy
Fingles cave I thought that was FELIX MENDLESOHN WORK Never knew or heard of this pink floyd album it's mystery to me I NEVER HEAED OF IT BEFORE TODAY THAT IS. I think TO MUCH MUCH FOCUS HAS BEEN MADE OF PINK FLOYD MOST RECOGNISABLE ALBUMS THE WALL DARK SIDE OF THE MOON.WISH YOU WERE HERE WHERE dud THIS ALBUM COME FROM
And credit where it's due - "Embryo" with the "Nick's Boogie" drums was created by a fan named Walter Romanus. :)
Nice mix of Zabriske Point session material and studio outtakes, with Biding My Time from Relics added in there. I like this album better than Ummagumma!
Zabriskie Point should've been released instead of Ummagumma. The Red Queen is lovely...and that guitar riff/tone is just fantastic (that is really what I think).
Ummagumma is for narcotic trips.(my favorite😜)
"we are not a drug oriented group" -david
Pink floyd é de outra galaxia haha muito louco cara nao tem nada igual
Experimental pink floyd go where no band has gone before along with ummugumma atom hart mother meddle wish you were here.
some time ago i gathered 'zp and im concluding this is work from that period nice to hear some new stuff in any era, thanks
from the film ' Zabriskie Point , Red queen is country song there
IT DOESN'T TAKE A GENIUS TO WORK OUT THAT FUTURE PF ALBUMS HAVE BEEN INSPIRED BY WHAT WE ARE LISTENING TO NOW, THE CONCEPT ALBUM HAS BEEN AROUND FOR A SIGNIFICANT TIME, HOWEVER THE FINAL VERSION IS STILL BEING BORN LISTENING TO THIS UNIQUE VERY VERY FUTURISTIC COMPILATION OF MUSIC, EMOTIONS AND SENSORY INVASION OF OUR PRECIOUS MINDS TO WORK TOGETHER TO ULTIMATELY TAKE YOU SOMEWHERE THAT NOT ONLY EXISTED BUT YOU WERE DESTINED TO TRAVEL TO REGARDLESS OF THE VESSEL THAT TRANSPORTS YOU THERE
what? I cant hear you
@@Ck-zk3we absolutely - damned fellah should speak up
Nice compilation. Thanks for uploading.
Thanks so much for the awesome upload! What a great era for PF. I've always thought that the Zabriskie Point sessions (Rome, Dec. 1969) produced some amazing tracks that were under appreciated.
Okay, tried a different post. Got sound, friggin excellent, thx hall.
Cool music! Thanks.
heart beat, pig meat ~ :)
never ever heard before..... and I'm a fan ....
I was surprised by this because I had a bootleg of it around ‘74. About a year before Wish You Were Here was released. It was just a blank white cover & label so I named it Pink Floyd: Rare And Unreleased.
If you had this material, sounds like you had a copy of the boot "Omayyad".
2:04 best ASMR
Nicely done!
I've still got Oenone somewhere on vinyl ...
This is like a 1970 Orb album!
Bom demais!
Oh god i never kenew that existed, i like so much
It only exists in Hal's imagination - and remember what he did to Frank Poole
Can this really be Pink Floyd?????? It sounds so experimental and so unlike PF. Love it.....
Its Zabriskie Pt ✌🏾 n So agree with U Syfoil
The red queen has a final cut feeling.
Never made that connection. I can sort of hear it.
23:16 MATE, I LOVE THIS SONG TOO MUCH
Muito, muito obrigado!!!
Geniuses
Wonderful!
fucking good!!! pink floyd
Tak toto je fakt rarita, kto toto vyškrabal z akej staručkej špajze? Very, very thanks. Good job.
Where did Red Queen come from ? First time I've heard it, I'm familiar with everything else.
It was an out take from the Zabriskie Point soundtrack recordings. It was never used in the movie.
It was named Country Song in Z'P recordings.
But Red Queen was the original name. A perfect ballad that missed OBC.. It could be a bonus track from future editions Imho. like Embryo sounds perfect for SOS than Corporal Clegg.
@@Starlesschild But Red Queen is from '69 and OBC is from '72. SOS is from '68 and Embryo is from '69. Red Queen and Embryo should have been released in 1969 on Ummagumma...imagine that album without Several Species of Small Furry Animals and the Grand Vizier's Garden Party.
@@bobsmithradates7346 I Love Several Species.. I can agree with you.. but for her special feeling and vibes Red Queen is the song that missed in OBC.
Ummagumma (StudioLP) was composed in 4 distincted parts from the four elements. I think a good song for Ummagumma could be Julia Dream..
@@Starlesschild I agree. Also Crumbling Land sounds like an OBC track too.
keep digging
Would anyone like to hear my custom Soft Machine albums?
Put some of your music up, please
Ofc
Nice
Interesting
Holy shit, can I buy a physical copy of this anywhere?
Sadly its fanmade
Damn. I was hoping this was a copy of an older bootleg.
I love all of this except for One On One.
Anyone know of the best vinyl record pressings to look for if I want these songs on a record? I’ve seen a few bootlegs but wondering if anyone has insight on which are the best
Is this an actual press that harvest did? If so I NEED one
No, I mixed this album 6 years ago
Oenone should really be called
Oenone/Rocks Off...
...You know, "Oenone" exists without the vocal levity. XD
But it's good fucking... and I mean fucking!
From what I've heard, that track alone's probably more entertaining than the actual movie.
(Oh, BTW - your "Fingal's Cave" is actually just another "Oenone" take; "Fingal's Cave" is that short, thrashy instrumental they called 'Aeroplane' on the Early Years set! Though if you ever revamp this - that might make a fine start to side 2, especially the boxed set version with the backwards intro!)
give birth from the 'the body soundtrack
Hey, do I hear "Mini da mocha??? 😆
How did The Red Queen go unreleased for so long? And Roger always said they had nothing unreleased in the vault. He can be such a jerk.
da, da, de, de, la, la
No sound when I attempted. :(
There's something wrong here.
...Win a florida holiday and a color t.v.

havent heard track 4 but i wonder why , sounds like a comical piece in zabriskie era
What about this album?
Does really exist?
It is legit?
Sadly no, it's fan made
What does "a fan made album mean??"
Meaning it's compiled by a fan, not official
It means,an album that was made by a person, other than the band,or YOU!!
But only the compilation and maybe the pressing, the music itself is from the band!
Usually means fraudulent /unauthorized use of someone else's intellectual property - like in this case! No harm in it, tho.
@@Kwinquark1 Honestly, more people should do it
so that pic aint a giant butt?
Great stuff! It's a shame this album isn't available for sale. It sure beats the weepy, sniveling Roger Waters.
Well Matthew, you should read the credits. He composed both "Biding my time" and "Embryo" while co-authoring at least another. #SeeYouInFreedom
@@miltonperret-gentileverts3856 So, you've decided that I don't like this album because it has several "credits" but doesn't sound like Roger Waters?
I hope I'm never as smart as you are.
Matthew bro, I only made a simple observation...I'm sorry you took it any other way than was originally intended. All the best. #SeeYouInFreedom
This is NOT Pink Floyd you sods.
What is it?
It is, it's their unreleased stuff as well as one joke recording (the moaning session)
