I wish more people talked about the background art honestly, they were one of the things i felt were the most underated, and im glad theyre making new art for the civs in VII
@EmirAbdKadder 1. Civ 6's art was made before AI art was even a thing 2. If you look closely, the detail and spatial cohesion is too good to be ai. There aren't any of the charistacly out-of-place things you see in AI
If you're wondering why it was reuploaded, I believe the initial upload had synthesized musical instruments & vocals instead of actual instruments/vocals. Which is to say, I think they accidentally uploaded an earlier version that wasn't complete yet first, and have now uploaded the actual one. Most likely what happened, considering I doubt they pulled a whole choir together, recorded a full session, and then uploaded it all in the space of about an hour to address the complaints of it sounding a bit poo earlier :V
@@t.wcharles2171What’chu mean “you can never be sure”?! Do you think the devs are over here like “Oh goodness, it seems I have uploaded a version of a song which people do not like. Allow me to break out my emergency choir and muster the orchestra within the hour, and I shall recompose the piece, as to appease the masses.”
This art encapsulates de Roman Empire so perfectly. Everything is there: the good, the bad and the ugly. The love and the hate. The war and the peace. The glory and the suffering.
@baartus the slaves in the back carrying that stone to build something. A scene that, next to the Colosseum, gives the perspective that even the great roman monuments were built from pain and suffering. Also, the arrows on the shield of one of the soldiers imply a gruesome past for them that contrasts with the cuteness of the girls giving them flowers.
That's part of what I love so much about studying Rome, is that there is just so much discourse that survives that shows how critical and thoughtful they were of their own legacy.
Don't like being a pedant sorry, but its The Venerable Bede, not Saint Bebe (Saint Bede is fair enough I guess as its common to call him that but he was never officially canonized by the Catholic church.)
I imagine the conditions to go from Rome to Venice would include having only one city, as well as something economic. I definitely anticipate Italy being a modern civilization.
Gaio Giulio Cesare cit. La frase è stata detta da Cesare dopo aver ottenuto una rapida vittoria nella battaglia di Zela. Ancora oggi si può usare in modo scherzoso tale espressione per esprimere la grande velocità nell'aver ottenuto un risultato.
This is just amazing. Civ has some of the best production in the industry. I haven't heard one piece that I don't like, but Civ VII is on another level.
I really love the art for these videos and I hope its used in game. It reminds me of the wonder art from civ 5, especially Parthenon where you can see people around the wonder.
I never really liked the Rome themes in Civilisation games, but this one is REALLY good. Probably my favourite theme from this game so far, it's not too loud and it's very beautiful/majestic, really capturing the feel of the Roman Empire.
I'm going to dig through my old CD's and find the music disk that came with Civ4. I think the devs should do the same if they want to produce memorable music.
What's this, then? Some vulgar barbarian hooligan in the comments? 'People called Romanes, they go the house'? What you meant to say is 'Romani ite domum'.
Who's thinking about the Roman Empire('s theme from Sid Meier's Civilization VII)?

My wife asked me how often I think about the Civilization VII Rome theme. I told her every day.
All men. :D
No one, this game will flop

Goes fing hard, like the paintings of V, but, you know, just not paintings this time. See a lot more clarity and more people from that fact alone.
Thank you!
I had a stroke trying to read these comments

Yes
Unironically daily. Ave civitas aeterna

You can never be too sure though.
@@t.wcharles2171 I like to think there is some choir group locked in a dark room waiting to be called up.
They confirmed this on the r/civ subreddit.

The added vocals at 2:52 is absolutely beautiful. I think this is my new favorite Roman theme out of any game so far.
LOOK at that art. 😮
It's absolutely STUNNING! Reminds me of V's paintings.
it's beautiful
This is the richest and most interesting Roman theme I’ve heard in a Civ game. Great work!
I simply love the music in this game, it's an excellent job they do for Civilization games

Check your sources, I’m pretty sure Sean Bean said that
Love this gaming company. You guys genuinely appreciate every culture and shows them at there apex, no bias. Great job guys!
Welcome back Rome - Antiquity Civ Theme | Civilization VII Original Soundtrack
A vinyl edition of the Civ7 soundtrack would be superiorum!
I'm going to miss civ 6 Rome theme and Gauls also. I loved the war horns in the civ 6 theme
I hope they add republic of Venice(in Exploration age) and kingdom of italy(in modern age)
I’d like that, or venetians as an independent people

The genoese or papal states would be cool as well

@@vivone7671I agree, Venice seems like the obvious choice, being most iconic. Sicilians/Naples could be cool too tho
It's nice to hear a Rome theme that uses actual instruments of that time instead of trumpets.
Trumpets are an instrument though 🧐

Wow, it seems very well researched. Lyre, panpipe, tambourine. The low bass in the background, maybe some type of brass?
Nice music!
I can already see the map painted all ROMAN RED
I'm waiting for the Byzantine theme !
