- LOOE CORNWALL | Full tour of holiday seaside town Looe, a picturesque fishing town and holiday destination in south-east Cornwall, England, is a captivating destination for a British seaside holiday..
You will find Looe in Cornwall between Plymouth and Fowey.
Nestled on the banks of the River Looe, Looe's charm lies in its delightful blend of beautiful beaches, a historic harbour, and a quaint town center.
Looe boasts two unique beach experiences. East Looe's main beach beckons with its golden sands, perfect for families with young children to build sandcastles, relax under the warm sun, or enjoy safe and refreshing swims in its gentle waters. For the more adventurous, Hannafore Beach on the other side of the river offers a rocky terrain teeming with life in its tidal pools. Explore the rock pools during low tide and discover a variety of marine creatures like crabs, starfish, and colorful anemones.
Looe's historic harbour throbs with activity. Watch colorful fishing boats bobbing on the water, or witness the lively scene as fishermen unload their daily catches. Take a leisurely boat trip around the harbour, or venture further out to sea for an exhilarating exploration of the Cornish coastline. Seafood lovers are in for a treat! The harbour is lined with excellent seafood restaurants where you can savor the freshest catches of the day.
Looe's narrow streets, lined with a delightful jumble of shops, cafes, and pubs, are a paradise for explorers. Browse through local shops selling everything from handcrafted souvenirs and beach essentials to delectable Cornish treats like clotted cream teas and saffron buns. Rest your legs and quench your thirst at a cozy cafe, or unwind with a refreshing pint at a traditional pub steeped in local history.
Looe serves as a perfect base to explore the surrounding natural beauty of Cornwall. Embark on scenic walks along the South West Coast Path, a national trail offering breathtaking coastal vistas. Hike or cycle through the verdant hinterland, or visit nearby Bodmin Moor, a vast granite moorland rich in archaeological treasures and folklore. Charming towns and villages like Liskeard and Plymouth are within easy reach, offering day trip opportunities to delve deeper into Cornwall's rich heritage.

😎It's good to see west Looe
Used to stay there every summer holiday as a kid at my Uncles P Dann I think the estate has now been demolished for more modern houses . It was a 97 Sunrising Estate top of the hill overlooking the station . Amazing I can remember everything about Looe and I’m now 82 so I haven’t been to Looe in 70 years . Thank you brought back many happy memories xx
Lovely walk. I have not been to Cornwell for a few years. Looe looks a lovely place to visit.

We had our honeymoon here at the westcliffe hotel which you can see when you go over the bridge up on the hill.that was in 1968. we went back for 50th anniversary and stayed at the trouville hotel, which is over bridge turn left. My friend has moved to looe and lives in a caravan so we joined her when we visited.
Went there in late September and early October in 2021 on a Globus tour. I stopped at Kelly's and had a wonderful fish and chips. Enjoyed the town very much.
Were there any Muslims.

Another wonderful walk! Thank you very much and be careful with those heights!💞If you can, would it possible to do a walk around Southbourne area from Bournemouth? From Overcliff Drive towards Hengistbury Head, the views are spectacular, and the beaches are pure golden sand.
Wonderful memories of super holidays- thank you so much. Have you been along to Polperro down the road?
I have - it's on the way!
