Thanks for this excellent video of Sidmouth. As a youngster I visited this seaside town during the summer months because of my retired grandparent. This place was great for them and it is a nice place for retired people. It lasted for about 25 years before one of them had to move on as they say. During his final years my grandfather was in a nursing home. I see this place has not changed much and is among the few proper old british seaside towns left in the country. I have so many great memories from this place and Devon in general. I have high hopes I can revisit sometime in the future but that is not so easy when you have permanent residence elsewhere in the EU.
Thank you for another great film. We are going to Sidmouth soon & always look at your walks to get a feel of the places we visit..We love South Devon & can highly recommed places like Teignmouth & Exmouth to anyone who has not been before. Both lovely!👍
I live in Sidmouth in a gorgeous detached Victorian villa on the slopes of Salcombe Hill - been here for 24 years now and would never move anywhere else.
Sidmouth like the rest of Devon is a very beautiful seaside town with of course nice shops, restaurants, bars, galleries and other places to explore there in Sidmouth thank you until next time. 🇬🇧🇬🇧👋👋
We are definitely going to visit Sidmouth, looks so tranquil and beautiful, thank you for all your videos in our beautiful Country 😊👌👍 just wondering what the name of the song is you play in this video? Keep up the Great videos xx
Another lovley video, i visited last september (23) Glad you did this again, as the only thing that lets this place down is the price of the car parks, City prices , such a shame. but hey ho, onwards !
Sidmouth well worth a visit, went there last year twice in fact, the area was a training ground for the D Day landings in ww2, the gardens on top of the cliffs are stunning.
My granny used to live there but I don't remember the paved walkway by the cliffs (I was only a child) but I think the pebble beach went all the way up to the walls.
Only been there once about 50 years ago with my mum as she wanted to see what the cash & carry was like. We had lunch in a very old pub just off the seafront. No I can't remember its name!!
very nice place to wear go every year Mr Mrs Dixon
And thank you Neil for taking me on a casual amble through this delightful Devon seaside town.

I really enjoyed Sidmouth. It made me realise l have passed through Devon going to Cornwall but l have never stayed in Devon.
I need to rectify this.
Looks like a traditional ⛵ seaside town, which I love. Not ruined by amusement arcades etc. 👍👍

I think i would be sick going down these steps seeing i suffer from vertigo.
Oh no!
My beautiful home town. Biggest drawback is the lack of affordable housing for local youngsters ... such a pity 😢
