I played the baritone saxophone with my hometown's local concert band and this was one of my favourite song medleys to play. It has made me consider joining a new concert band and playing the bari sax again. Hearing this again has brought back great memories.
Man this brings back so many memories. Back in grade 8 my school's concert band played this, I played the Trumpet 1 part. My favourite part of this piece is the amazing trumpet solo for sweetheart tree that I was going to perform myself, until 2020 happened and I was extremely sad and mad that I couldn't play the solo that I practiced for months
The music teacher thought it was be a great idea to sit, squat or, stand depending on the dynamics. And since I had a neck strap, I had a fun time playing Peter Gunn whilst squatting with a bari sax.
I'm the only trombone that's good at the instrument and the euphoniums aren't the greatest and I'm lead lesser brass and the euphoniums don't listen to me... The other trombone normally doesn't even show up.
I play precution for this song and it's only a little bit challenging the rest of the band is the most sound and make it sound good. But this song is really fun because I also play tenor sax
Bass clarinet isn’t awkward. It’s pretty sick Being a rarer instrument makes you more valuable to band teachers, even though you have to strive to make sure your part is heard. That’s actually a really cool instrument.
