That's not what "loose tolerances" means.
"Engineering tolerance is the permissible limit or limits of variation in dimensions, operating temperature, etc."
It's essentially the minimal allowed level of quality control. The tighter the tolerance, the closer each individual part to the theoretical design.
A 100k resistor is never 100k in practice. With 10% tolerance, it can be anywhere from 90k to 110k. With 2% tolerance, the ranges tighten to 98k to 102k.
So with looser tolerances, the AK could be made by more unskilled workers, with less sophisticated tools, at a lower cost, and in higher numbers.

Czechoslovakia (Czech Republic) used the "Samopal vz.58" rifle of its own production, not the AK-47. The "Samopal vz.58" is visually similar to the AK-47, but it is not a clone of the AK, it has its own construction.
ok
with some changes it literally can be considered as a clone
@@AliAli-et7zy The weapons are only visually similar. The technical differences make them completely different weapons, a clone is out of the question. Please study the weapons in question before you write something so out of line next time.
@@23Dataminer I'm talking about visual similarity. Speaking of technical differences i know AK is much more stronger and endurable.
@@AliAli-et7zy Visual similarity does not make one weapon a clone of another. You're underestimating the Sa-58. Take your time and look at some cross testing between the Ak-47 and Sa-58, there's plenty on YT. You'll be surprised how good a weapon the Sa-58 is, and that it even outperforms the Ak-47 in many aspects. Anyway, the word "clone" has no justification in a comparison between these weapons, because the technical design is diametrically opposed. Saying it's a clone because of its appearance is as meaningless as saying a self-propelled howitzer is a tank clone just because they look alike in appearance because they have tracks and a gun turret.

Back during the time it was first made, the ak was like a rifle, sub machinegun and a machine gun put together. Single fire capable taking care of enemies at long ranges like a semiautomatic rifle, and also full auto with the same range for suppressive fire like a machine gun, but still small and light enough to use at close range like a submachinegun
Fun fact: A common misconception of the AK is that all of the rifles in 7.62x39 are called the “AK-47”. Most are actually the AKM(manufactured in 1959), which was cheaper to manufacture and was lighter, with stamped steel parts instead of the original AK’s milled parts, which totaled to almost 9 pounds.
Another misconception is that the AK47 is still it's name. its actually only called the AK or Avtomat Kalashnikova (model 1947).

2:30 Kalashnikov didn't design the 7.62x39. It was made by a group of ammo experts on a decision of the Soviet army (inspired by German's STG-44) to have an intermediate ammunition to create a system of different weapons all using the same cartridge.
Was about to point that out. I'd argue commies were on track for something intermediate before 7.92 kurz became a thing, the Fedorov was kind of on track, close to the overall characteristics of a modern 6.5 Grendel in terms of overall dimensions and energy at muzzle.

A few errors. The original AK-47 had a milled receiver. Due to the ease of manufacturing, the AK-47 was then modernized into the AKM which contained a stamped receiver. Also the loose tolerances have nothing to do with debris. Having a loose tolerance means that the measurement of each part can range slightly in accuracy. This benefits the manufacturing process as it means that a greater amount of less accurate parts can be produced at a cheaper price without effecting the operation of the weapon.
The original AK Type 1 was stamped :)

when I first fired an AK-47 I didn’t know how to use its iron sight and the recoil was so powerful that the round completely missed the target. After that I didn’t bother to aim properly anymore LOL.
The recoil shouldn't have affected the first shot and the 7.62 x 39 is considered a very mild recoiling rifle. Maybe start with a .22 to learn the basics and work your way up. I've seen if people develop a flinch early from being scared of the recoil of a gun that it takes a lot of practice to stop it. When one works up in increments, many can shoot quite powerful rounds.

Infographics doing a video on guns, is 1 of 3 types of topics that they ALWAYS get information completely wrong. Infographics is left leaning. When someone and or a group has a biased mindet/view on certain topics, they will not do full research to get ALL information, because they will run the risk of finding out information that will prove their view points are/were wrong. America now lives in a time where a lot of people just can't and won't accept that fact that they might/could be wrong about something. Ugh. We're all doomed.
