Typical France run can bascially be summed up by those words: NO PEACE, JUST WAR.
Fun video but you could have shown less of the constant battles and more of what ideas you took or interesting events that happenend or weird things the AI did. Was still enjoyable to see the big blue blob growing over time.

to be honest, once you are powerful enough, AE is just a number. I had such a game as France, I was at a few hundreds of AE and kept taking land, no coalitions ever formed xD
@@lore-mastereothad955 I mean, I've done that just usually not until the 1700s when the nations I'm fighting are either too weak or unable to get to me. Early on I avoid AE as much as possible through diplo rep and alliances because I hate having an unstable nation with enemies at my throat (effing rebels). I'm gonna have to get over it though cause I've still got to form Rome as Byz, and eventually do a WC. I just love prefer playing tall over wide.

Je suis la seule personne qui joue 'normalement', en évitant la surexpansion, en prenant un nombre raisonnable de provinces à chaque victoire, en gardant toujours le pays en situation extrêmement stable ?
J'ai l'impression, en regardant des vidéos, que tour le monde déclare guerre sur guerre, mange des pays en dix ans, brise des traités de paix, etc XD

perso ma France en fin de partie avait gobé la suisse la belgique la cote hollandaise et l'ouest du nord de l'italie et c tout(enfin en plus de la france actuelle). par contre niveau colonial j'avais quasi tout les états unis l'afrique de l'est le golfe de guinée et la sibérie ( mes colons s'emmerdait en fin de partie alors ils ont colonisé depuis le Kamtchakta plus plein de petites colonies pour emmerder les espingouins

hey. whats the best way to get the revolution to spread quickly in a big empire? ive only ever gotten to the revolutionary age twice... last time i owned like 3/4 of the earth.. seemed virtually impossible to change to revolutionary government..
Hello, I don't know how to quickly spread the revolution. The revolution is spreading like Protestantism or Reformation in the 1550s, you just have to wait.
@@TheJaydawarlord you have to get 10% of the nation or more right? i just think it takes too long when ur huge.. is there a way to stop it? like when you force convert other nations with centres of reformation after a war to get rid of the centre? cos to be honest until u change government it seems to tank ur money etc... my last playthru i went from +500 ducats a month to like +60 or soemthing

I guess I am not typical France player. I only recreate modem borders and then start creating marches beyond borders as speed bumps for does.
I would say you made a massive misplay by not going colonial as France
The ideal opener I came up with is to eat the entire coastline+islands of spain and portugal, then you can just get exploration at some point, make colonial nations (remember to eat any other european that decides to take explo ideas further on)
The result of doing that is that by the end of the game, the entire planet looks blue instead of just Europe like in your playthrough

@@TheJaydawarlord don't worry, but this is still an important tip for those who are new or have never played france
the best way to colonise is to simply remove the other colonisers from existence in europe early (spain portugal and england), and france is in the perfect spot to do that since it's right next to all of them, and strong enough to take them on
of course the same is true when playing as the other colonisers, when you play as spain I would advise taking the coastlines of both france and england, and full annexing portugal
doing that is absolutely mandatory if you try to do a one culture challenge, because it means 90% of the new world will be your main culture
another tip for one cultures: you can move your capital to the new world by putting it in an island like bermuda first, and THEN, the magic trick, there are a lot of new world tags that let you ANNEX all colonial nations you have instantly and for free when you make them, aka you can make a dozen colonial nations and still fully annex them all instantly for free if you want to do a 1 tag by forming a colonial tag (like the USA or sonora)
Just spread your dynasty in eurpoe and claim thrones of spain and portugal in mid-game. They will colonise for you. Getting your dynasty on another throne is the most broken thing as a european nation. Just 90 favors and a few years of time.
Bad tip tho. You are far better by letting other colonise and then simply conquering them. If you full annex you can inherit colonies. It's much more efficeint because colonising everything by yourself would have taken a lot more time. Also probably would have meant going explo+expansion, which is bad on France. Means should be determined by goals but if you want to be the most efficient then you simply should focus on conquering east amd Asia.
If you had conquered savoy earlier you could have finished the Italian invasion side of the mission tree earlier and gotten a PU causa beli on Spain

In the surrender of main England is the aggressor so your allies join you cause its a defensive war while England's allies usually don't join, compared when you'd declare and be the aggressor where it would be the other way around.
