Greatest Guitarist, Greatest Frontman, Best backing vocals (Michael Anthony), Incredible drumming (Ed's brother) - never again folks will we have a band like Van Halen. What a Band!!
@@Teraxx23 _House Of Pain_ too - both of them are old songs they messed around with way back - which is why they kick so much ass. They would suit _Fair Warning_ they are that good!
I didn't hear Drop Dead Legs until around 2013. Heard it on the radio on the way to school. Loved it. Didn’t know who was performing it, but it definitely sounded like Van Halen. Discovered that it was VH. To me, their best song. Not by much, but it simply rocks, man.
The David Lee Roth era 78 to 84 was hard, edgy and amazing! The Sammy Hagar era 85 to 98 was more polished, less edgy, but wonderful nonetheless. All of it is worth a listen.
"Ain't Talkin' about Love", "Little Dreamer", "I'm the One" from their first album are great songs you should react to. "I'm the One" is the band playing at 1000 mph, "Little Dreamer" has amazing harmonies, and "Ain't Talkin' about Love" has such a great hook! Thanks for all the Van Halen guys!!!!
I love seeing you guys discover Van Halen one song at a time ! “ Drop Dead Legs” off of the same album is another banger with an epic outro …Keep those Van Halen reactions coming !!👍👍🤘🤘
Saw VH live in Houston in the early 80's.. David Lee Roth forgot the words "reach down between my legs and ease the seat back"....All he did wa laugh and say I forgot the f'ing words... They were great...
Please do Top Jimmy from this same album. EVH gives a clinic on dynamics, rhythm, tempo, and soloing in just a 3 min song. Underated gem in their catalog
This was my favorite song to blast through the 20oz magnets in the trusty Herald speakers while zooming through traffic on the Dan Ryan at 0300 on a hot summer Saturday night racing from my pick up ice hockey game to get back to work at the hospital by 0500. Great speed cruising tune.
Great reaction gents!! This is indeed a serious banger - hooks are what VH did in their sleep! During that 'middle 8' slower section, while Dave was singing of putting the seat back, etc, that 'revving' sound you heard was actually Eddie Van Halen's Lamborghini Miura exhaust note! HIGHLY recommend checking I'll Wait, from this same album - it's Eddie's foray into more 'synth' territory, a darker tune, and it's SOOOOO well done!!
Michael McDonald from The Doobie Brothers has a songwriting credit for "I'll Wait". He claims he made more money from I'll wait than any other song he wrote.
When this song dropped it was ALL over MTV for about six months, it finally induced me to go see VH live. One of the loudest environments I was ever in. My ears were ringing for three days after, no sleep for two of them. Unreal. Eddie has some quick fingers.
You guys rock! This was a party to see them live in Dallas when this album busted out. Watch the official video! It's just crazy fun! Long live the mighty Van Halen.
Believing this was their last album with David Lee Roth before they reunited many years later, it is one of their best albums in their catalog. Hooks were in car commercials and movies throughout their careers. Love to hear you guys doing more VH. Keep up the great reactions. Peace.
Love it!!! Other VH songs you'd love. Little Guitars, Drop Dead Legs, Jamie's Cryin, Ain't Talking bout Love, Little Dreamer...that's just to start, they have a very deep catalogue. And yes, I'm biased for the David Lee Roth era, lol.
The mighty Van Halen. Their compositions and song structures are under appreciated. This album sold 17 mil. in the US! This was apropos music that reflected the hard-partying, rebellious times like much of rock music over the eras.
Panama & Ain't talking about Love are my 2 favorites from the David Lee Roth era of Van Halen. For a more mature sound & a much better Vocalist check out the Sammy Hagar version of Van Halen. Check out Best of Both Worlds, Black & Blue, Is It Love, Right Now, & Human Beings. These are some of my favorites with Sammy Hagar on vocals. Sammy's career in Music has been phenomenal starting with his first gig with Montrose, then his solo career, followed by his time in Van Halen & now with the band Chickenfoot & most recently The Circle with Jason Bohnam & Michael Anthony ( Van Halen Bassist & backup vocals ). He is still touring to this day . Peace!
Love the Van Halen and every other reaction that you guys do!! You two always catch “the hook” in every song, so you need to react to Blues Traveler’s “The Hook”, you will absolutely love John Popper and crew!!
Can't lie, it has been A LONG TIME since I last listened to Panama, and I have to admit that it still holds up pretty good ... mostly from Alex and Eddie's drum/guitar combo with Michael's baseline holding it together.
By far my fave Van Halen song! ♥ You guys should really check out Band Maid sometime They're an all female rock band from Japan, and IMO the best rock band in the world right now!
Damn, you guys have me rocking out here at my desk on a Monday morning - again! This one is so much fun, just straight-up, good time rock 'n roll - over the top for sure, but in the best way. Another awesome choice, and a great reaction as always. Rocking with you in Canada - peace! 🤘
If you watch Family Guy, there's a pretty funny episode where Peter wreaks havoc by playing this CD in his car all the time, which causes lot's of roadway mayhem on his part. Maybe where you heard the hook before. Cheers Fellas!
I would enjoy to see y’all enjoy the change in VH’s music once Sammy Hagar joined (1985-1998). A powerful vocalist, songwriter, No Ego! The music was sophisticated, gone was the gimmicky and juvenile ways of David Lee Roth.
Greatest Guitarist, Greatest Frontman, Best backing vocals (Michael Anthony), Incredible drumming (Ed's brother) - never again folks will we have a band like Van Halen. What a Band!!
"Jamie's Crying" and "Ain't Talkin Bout Love"
Michael Anthony often gets overlooked on the back-up vocals, but he can hit the stratosphere as well as carry on that bass groove.
It wouldn't be Van Halen without his vocals. 😉
I was thinking the same thing. They all had good voices. Unheard of in a lot of popular bands.
Definitely one of my favorites.
Outta Love Again from VH2 is an overlooked, underappreciated kick a$$ song with drumming that's out of this world.
"Drop Dead Legs" from 1984 is an overlooked song but has probably one of Eddie's best solos at the end of the song!
True, but don't forget "Girl Gone Bad" - the two best tracks on 1984 never became singles.
@@Teraxx23 _House Of Pain_ too - both of them are old songs they messed around with way back - which is why they kick so much ass. They would suit _Fair Warning_ they are that good!
I'll throw in Eddie's solo from "I'm the One". That song sounds like a V8 going 100 mph!
Watch with lyrics on please!!!!!
❤❤❤❤from my highschool days !!! Never gets old ! Another Harley/wind therapy song for me. Crank it up...every single time !❤
The David Lee Roth era 78 to 84 was hard, edgy and amazing! The Sammy Hagar era 85 to 98 was more polished, less edgy, but wonderful nonetheless. All of it is worth a listen.
Sammy Hagar was a real badass as lead singer in Montrose during the 70s..
@@rockyroad7345and solo in the early 80s
DLR=hard bluesy glam rock. SH=AOR
I love the red rocker and i love van halen but i couldn't stand van hagar
Eddie is the modern day King of guitar. His tapping style, he did not invent it, but he perfected it. One of a Kind. King Edward Van Halen…
They've done Ain't Talkin' About Love... I'd switch it out for Atomic Punk, which is probably my second favorite VH jam.
Great reaction. Great song.
I love seeing you guys discover Van Halen one song at a time ! “ Drop Dead Legs” off of the same album is another banger with an epic outro …Keep those Van Halen reactions coming !!👍👍🤘🤘
Drop Dead Legs is Sooooo good!!!
Masterpiece.
I'm sure y'all know this already but Eddy is the guitarist on MJ's 'Beat it'
Saw VH live in Houston in the early 80's.. David Lee Roth forgot the words "reach down between my legs and ease the seat back"....All he did wa laugh and say I forgot the f'ing words... They were great...
You guys are "cooler than the other side of the pillow." Love your style and love your channel. Keep em coming!
The Music Video to this is quite entertaing! Thanks....
This whole album is a MASTERPIECE front to back, back to front
Drop dead legs . A classic
could do their 1st album in it's entirety ,their best and lot's of bangers thanx guys
That slow down part is one of the best sounds I've ever heard. I feel it deep.
I never get tired of that album cover... it's classic.
whoosh from a hair dryer - this one's a classic

My second favorite band! This another fun summer drivin crank it jam. I like the deep VH cuts much Btr though.
Love this song and the music Video of the song
some damn crunchy lovely grooves my guys! love me some van halen!
Anyone else here gotten a speeding violation with this cassette in the deck and this song blasting through the 6x9’s?!?
Yet ANOTHER great reaction by you two !!!!!!
Padded Bras!! Thats what my son thought they were saying lol.
Little Guitars will be your favorite VH song
pure 80’s easy living days.🔥track
One of their best.
Saw them in early 80’s LA Forum. Was a great show.
just the right amount of production!
He was guitar soloist on the King of Pop’s Beat It.
When this song dropped it was ALL over MTV for about six months, it finally induced me to go see VH live. One of the loudest environments I was ever in. My ears were ringing for three days after, no sleep for two of them. Unreal. Eddie has some quick fingers.

Has fun crazy video with it….” Jump” should be next.
Van Halen, great band, got to love David Lee Roth
It hits so hard it's just undeniable, espacially that b-part and the transition back.
La perfección

ehh, didnt care for Van Hagar, give me the less mature more fun Van Halen
Love the Van Halen and every other reaction that you guys do!!
You two always catch “the hook” in every song, so you need to react to Blues Traveler’s “The Hook”, you will absolutely love John Popper and crew!!
That little break down you're talking about before the chorus, Eddie is playing what's called "pinch harmonics".
Girl Gone Bad and House of Pain are awesome lesser known rockers. Cheers!
They were so fun live!
Saw them 7 tours in a row. Best parties ever
If you lived through the 80s, you’ve heard this song. The commercials, the grocery stores, sports games. Your brain knows Van Halen
Good Stuff 👍🏽 My First Rock Band as a teenager 🎸🥁 VH
Drop Dead Legs! The solo is at the end of the song, and the whole song is Van Halen, in my opinion, at their best!
Great reaction 👏👏👏
The revving engine heard was Eddie Van Halen’s 1972 Lamborghini Miura S.
Excelente música
Always enjoy your reactions !
I love their debut album! Every song is great!
Can't lie, it has been A LONG TIME since I last listened to Panama, and I have to admit that it still holds up pretty good ... mostly from Alex and Eddie's drum/guitar combo with Michael's baseline holding it together.
Out of love again is a banger
“ In a Simple Rhyme “ off the Women and Children First album.
Son los mejores
By far my fave Van Halen song! ♥ You guys should really check out Band Maid sometime
They're an all female rock band from Japan, and IMO the best rock band in the world right now!
I’m currently at work screaming the hook while watching this, 😂😂😂
Me encanta
That guitar piece after 3:25 is the sexiest thing ever. Love that soft rough sound.
I remember cruising the strip in Panama City, blasting this out the t-tops,spring break. Great time to be alive.
Trans am?
Killer track
I love that you guys love this. That is all.
VH "Sinners Swing" is a killer tune.
Heard this song a million times… loved it as a 9 year old in 84 and love it now.. the first time that riff kicks in is still great
Me parece genial este video
Drop dead legs is a great one from this album
One of my favorite Eddie Van Halen guitar solos
Excelente 👏
Nice. Sorry I’ve been on vacation and missing out so much!
Bass player Michael Anthony with the high pitched backing vocals
Che was steady bopping an LA was doin the no no hope you guys are enjoying what we've loved for decades
1984 was a fantastic album. This is a staple, but I would recommend "House of Pain" from same album, deeper cut, underappreciated IMO.
Excelente video
Love the DLR error FAR more. They were so much FUN!!!
Muy buen musico
Excelente
Anything Van Halen! Especially with David Lee!
Great VH at his Best this song
Damn, you guys have me rocking out here at my desk on a Monday morning - again! This one is so much fun, just straight-up, good time rock 'n roll - over the top for sure, but in the best way. Another awesome choice, and a great reaction as always. Rocking with you in Canada - peace! 🤘
Good Morning my friend. Have an awesome week!!
My favorite band!
Back at ya!
Needed this one today. Great times!!!❤❤ Thank you😊

Then God giveth us Van Halen😇
Muy bien 👍

Genial, me gustó.
Monday mornings aren't supposed to start with a Friday party song, lol. Fun pick, fellas.
This whole album is worthy of a complete listen to......
Michael Anthony was critical to the Rocket sauce recipe they Once had. they did him way dirty🔥
