When Kafka said “I am constantly trying to communicate something uncommunicable, to explain something inexplicable, to tell something about something I only feel in my bones and which can only be exprienced in those bones.”
Great vid! Just started my youtube channel a few weeks ago and thanks to your suggestion is going great! Guys remember: UA-cam is a marathon, not a sprint. Good luck everyone!🙂
To everyone who is reading this and hasn't been monetized, I hope you become successful with your UA-cam channel,. Trust the process and never give up!, Eventually, You'll get there!
We’ve been through the part time UA-camr academy. It’s such a wealth of information. Our channel is SLOWLY growing. At times it’s a little discouraging. We just keep moving forward hoping that it will pay off one day. This video is encouraging and helpful thank you!
I'm listening to this whilst I'm busy with my next video. I've already found my niche (Tech), so I don't need to worry about my niche. I'm glad I've stopped procrastinating at the moment, lol. Let's see how far I get, and how well this comment ages.
A college student who started a UA-cam channel, and i might say Ali has been the biggest inspiration ever, have been falling in love with the process of creating content and learning new skills, all thanks to Ali 🤸✨💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Thanks for your tips Ali, I started this year and I'm on 374 subscribers!!! Want to get 500 by the end of the year. It's great fun but a lot of work. These tips will help 👍🏽
0:18 I’ve been grinding for years.. seeing some success along the way, but now I’m going all in.. I’m putting everything I’ve got money, time, energy into this one piece of content. It’s a make-or-break moment.. and I’m ready to see if it pays off.. Wish me luck, everyone!
Just started my UA-cam channel a month ago and I will say, that Ali you have been the biggest inspiration yet, been grinding just like you have and hopefully I will be somewhere or even higher than where you are 💪🏼💪🏼
From Bangladesh here! This was pure gem. I am a medical doctor and a part-time freelance content writer. I have learned so much from you already. Now I'm trying to grow my UA-cam channel and this was gold! Thanks so much. Implementing all these in my next video.
Ali I have a book idea for you that I would personally want to read. "Beyond Productivity: Finding the Balance Between Ambition and Well-Being" would focus on helping people like me(and loads of people in this hustle culture) who struggle to balance ambition and self-care. The focus should be on finding a way to achieve our goals and provide for our families without sacrificing our own well-being. You can share real stories and actionable advice to help redefine success so it feels fulfilling rather than draining.
How fortuitous! I recently committed to an”serious” relationship with my UA-cam channel has been up for almost 5 years but I haven’t uploaded anything on a regular basis. So helpful, thanks! 🙏 On editing: I agree 100% on the editing. The problem is that a good editor isn’t cheap. Unfortunately, I don’t have the expendable income to pay $70 per video to have it edited, especially if I’m trying to upload 1 or more videos a week, that’s hundreds of dollars a month I just don’t have at the moment. If things pick up I will definitely outsource though because what you say is true, not the funnest part of the job.
Excellent video, Ali!!! thank you so much for sharing your knowledge, recommendations and words of encouragement with us. You are really an inspiration! I just started my UA-cam Channel last week and have only 3 subscribers but I'm doing it just for fun and to share with other people, because the value and knowledge that we are providing to others when we make these videos is the most important thing to me! To everyone who is starting a UA-cam channel like me, I wish you all the best!. It is not easy, but it can be a wonderful hobby and a lot of fun!. Trust and enjoy the process and never give up. You just have to have patience, persistence and consistency. We just need to keep moving forward and improving, just don't give up. Thanks again, Ali for this valuable and wonderful video!. All the best to all of you reading this and many blessings!!!😊🙏🙏
Thank you for creating such a helpful video, Mr. Abdaal! I am in between level 1 and 2, recently decided to take UA-cam more seriously by uploading consistently. On my Notion page, I have your quote to remind myself that“There’s no secret to building a life-changing UA-cam Channel. It’s just a matter of: 1. Creating videos that people find valuable, 2. Posting them on UA-cam at least once a week, 3. Repeating this for at least 2 years.”
Thank you for another awesome video Ali, I have been watching since you were a doctor and have loved how you have evolved. I want to grow a UA-cam channel but my biggest hurdle is my appearence. While there is nothing really wrong with how I look it is what holds me back. I am now 50yrs old and looking at myself in my videos is such a struggle. I have a tone of content to share that is very useful and I love the platform so much, I have filming and editing skills, all the things except I hate looking at myself. I know Im old enough to know better but its a real challenge. Thanks again for your beautiful self and I look forward to your next video. 😊
Great Video, came across really genuine and it’s good to be reminded that YT is more than something purely for financial gain. I am currently struggling with putting videos together or idea generation 😬, I have been involved in construction since I was 5, half my family live in Spain,me Suffolk, I started the gym/crossfit a lot over the last year and in good shape. I guess they’re my unfair advantages. I’ve learnt that when I am accountable I ‘get on with it’ a lot more than when I’m not. SO, maybe a video about things you can do to make yourself accountable. It’s probably a pride thing for me, it’s because I’m proud of being a reliable person and thus when I’m accountable, (or I say Yes too much) I don’t let them down thus get more stuff done. Let’s face it most of us don’t want to go to the 9-5 on a Monday morning but it’s the accountability that gets us out of bed. Hope that makes sense! Good luck to everyone on their YT journey and remember, it’s about the journey, not the destination, enjoy it ✌🏻111 subs and counting 😊
From $37K to $45K that's the minimum range of profit return every week I thinks it's not a bad one for me, now I have enough to pay bills and take care of my family.
Don't forget to put in the work to study and get better every time! My channel has stagnated because I perfected the art of pumping out a short in 2 hours a day, and just rode that for over 100 videos. You have to also put in the work to improve. Not just practice, but better practice every time. You got this!
Thanks Ali , I know equipment does not matter much at the start , but right now what i need is a good camera , for better video quality. love From Zimbabwe 🇿🇼
Thank you so much ALI and team. It’s an incredibly beneficial to me as a new UA-camr. Informative, inspirational and productive. Easy to understand and implement. Keep more productive by feeling good… 💖♾️♾️💖
Ali! I've been watching your videos for about 5 years now and this is my first time leaving a comment (no worries I rarely ever comment on anyone's videos😂), but I recently joined a content creator class and found it very helpful when they give out weekly assignments as to what kind of content to create. I think it would be really fun for me and those interested to start a UA-cam channel, if you can make a UA-cam video-making challenge for a certain period of time (let's say 100 days). I think you'll also have a great time seeing people actually start off because of this challenge and I'd love to be a part of it!😆
Also I just wanted to thank you and your team for all the great work and value you've given us so far. I've been wanting to start a UA-cam channel in ages and you're the first person to really convince me it won't be bad at all. Maybe next time I'll comment with the channel I've been working on😂
04:55 - RE: "in case you aren't familiar of my story, I used to be a doctor", it feels good to be part of the Evidence Based Study Tips era ❤ we talkin' OG OG crew here
This is called excellence, we should imitate Ali in making valuable and eyes widening content, I think he's an ideal epitome to get inspired from as Beginner level Creators. ❤
Great work! I appreciate all these points having recently started my youtube channel. I also struggle with consistency and time management so its good to know what to do in these cases 😌
Great truths all UA-camrs need to hear. I'm hoping to outsource editing sometime soon to improve my consistency as well! It's been a grind and I'm getting close to the monetization requirements -- soon! Thanks for all the advice, Ali :)
Thanks for the inspiration Ali! I started my channel over a year ago and am at 129, sometimes it’s really hard but I know that if I keep working I can make it. Hoping to get to 1k by the end of next year!
If, due to lack of resources, I have to be my own editor for now, what are the most important things that I should implement in my editing to give my videos the best chance for success? Great video and advice as always, Ali. Thank you very much!
Heey Ali I've been heavily influenced by you in my yotube journey I started out in Jan 2024 and grew to 1600+ subs in 8 months. Now I'm planning to go all in as I could see the potential in the channel. Thankyou soo much for getting me started and I'm really enjoying it. ❤ Question: Now that I'm planning on expanding I'm looking to get in few team members to help with posting and editing. But managing them has been a challenge I'm sometimes unable to meet posting deadline as I'm relying on them how do I find and delegate tasks better. And be a better manager or find good people
I’ve been uploading 10-second latte art videos daily for 130 days. I’ve improved a little, but I never imagined that with 130 days of consistency, I would gain 1.2k subscribers and consistently get 10k viewers on each short video. My first tip: 'Start now.' There’s a long way to go, but all the best to everyone. We’re all in the same boat. I’ve also started uploading on another channel I created 12 years ago for art and DIY content, to see if it’s luck or consistency at play. 🙌🏻 Let’s see how UA-cam rewards consistency!
Hi Ali, your vídeo is a masterclass! Thanks for sharing. I am on a way to find myself as a creator as this video has opened my mind In a level that never happened before by watching other yourtubers. Thanks a lot!
Thanks for another great video, Ali! As my channel starts to grow and I discover my "niche", etc... should I delete older videos, or keep them up as a sort of "here's where I was, and here's where I am" comparison? Cheers 🙂
Looking forward to watching this. I got ripped apart by a troll on an early video when really new. I still cringe. I’m only 7 weeks in. Will keep learning and getting better. BTW thanks to one of your students Clara for giving good advice.
How do you find topics/content to make videos about? My interests don't get a lot of views and i'm struggling to produce videos... Keep up the high quality work!
Do you like a thing? Talk about the thing. I love listening to nerds ramble about something I've never heard of, but they're clearly passionate about it.
Dude no way did you make this video right as im about to make a youtube channel on my passion, plus i just read 3 books you recommended the past 5 days. The world is talking to me, im gonna try to drop my video within the next 24 hours, ill link it here when i do.
Here's a concise overview of what you need to know: 1. Start creating videos, even if they aren't perfect. 2. Commit to a consistent upload schedule. 3. Outsource your video editing to save time. 4. Write captivating titles that include keywords, numbers, and strong adjectives. 5. Be authentic to your personality and let your passion shine through.
I suppose this is a niche question (pun intended), I'm early (6 videos and 11 subscribers), but I already know I want my niche to be travel, but we have two sub niches, I'm thinking about if or when to split "what we're leaning traveling" from our "how to be a great Airbnb host" videos. I'm throwing them all together for now, but I suspect they're overlapping but mostly distinct audiences, and I'm not sure when or if to make them 2 channels? Looking forward to joining PTYA soon!
Hi Ali, I hope you will help . Q- I constantly look away when filming my video instead of looking into the lens . How can I stop that? Q- Also, when I am speaking I break my sentence a lot. How can I be fluent like you?
What do you recommend for someone like me? I have a great deal to impart but I’ve had a stroke and no matter what I try, it’s just really uncomfortable to watch me on video because of a speech impediment and other issues. Maybe UA-cam is just not for me. But I really want to share my knowledge and what life has taught me. I feel like people would relate to my struggles and I could show them how to have a better life. I feel really compelled to find a way to make my ideas work. But maybe not through UA-cam? What are your thoughts?
Hi Ali! Great vid. I also wanted to start a Yt channel and I wonder which language should I choose. It will be a specific niche videos and I afraid of 0 views for my videos if I do it in my own language (polish). Maybe english is better for bigger audience?
Hey Ali, I follow your channel for a long time and you have been a great inspiration. I learnt a lot from you over the years and also recently;y completed the Notion course on SkillShare. I was also following the UA-cam for Beginners course from you on SkillShare but the course was taken off most probably by you from SkillShare which was a huge disappointment because I purchased a lot of Audio related hardware for it. However, finding no option alternative I ended by purchasing the PTYA course which was a huge gap from the pricing of the beginner course to the $1000 course. May I know why did you take the Beginner’s course from SkillShare ?

I'm a Game Developer and your videos are so helpful even though I'm not a UA-camr 🎉
I am gonna make it I promise!!! Good Luck Everyone!

This video is really helpful. Thank you for sharing, Ali
Thanks ali 🙏 this type of content are so helpful.
always giving us gold Ali! thank u ❤
For me, it’s especially difficult to split time between creating content efficiently, and or acting new techniques or features.
I got so many ideas while watching this video and I’m just going to start working on them ✨
Thank you for your tips Dr. Abdaal you're the goat
really appreciate your work Ali, these videos are always great reminders of what little changes we can be making.
Seriously on my list of things to do! How timely.
Thank you I was real stuck
omggg thanks I have been looking for a tutorial like this
Heey Ali I've been heavily influenced by you in my yotube journey I started out in Jan 2024 and grew to 1600+ subs in 8 months. Now I'm planning to go all in as I could see the potential in the channel. Thankyou soo much for getting me started and I'm really enjoying it. ❤
Question:
Now that I'm planning on expanding I'm looking to get in few team members to help with posting and editing.
Great content thankyou for sharing ❤
Thanks for sharing these tips. 🙏🙏🙏I have just started making short videos on UA-cam. I hope I can progress faster.
Thanks for another great video, Ali! As my channel starts to grow and I discover my "niche", etc... should I delete older videos, or keep them up as a sort of "here's where I was, and here's where I am" comparison? Cheers 🙂
I wish everyone achieves their gaol All the best
I bought the course and I started my channel we can do this🎉🎉😊
Excited for this!!
My dream is to become a Medical doctor and a UA-camr just like Ali. God bless Ali for the Impact you are making ❤.
i am an indie filmmaker from india!! Am really happy that i found this channel btw , loved the content!! ✨️
Omg right on time it’s crazyyy
Been waiting for this
Okay starting.
Quite timely!
Do you like a thing? Talk about the thing.
I love listening to nerds ramble about something I've never heard of, but they're clearly passionate about it.
I am part of Ali Abdaal's notification gang. I comment early but I still watch the entire video though 🤝
Ok, this is my sign to start.
Dude no way did you make this video right as im about to make a youtube channel on my passion, plus i just read 3 books you recommended the past 5 days. The world is talking to me, im gonna try to drop my video within the next 24 hours, ill link it here when i do.

At the end of the day grit is needed... 😊

Thank you so much for this Ali! Wish me luck.
If anyone's in need of an editor, I enjoy it so please let me know :)
Here's a concise overview of what you need to know:
1. Start creating videos, even if they aren't perfect.
2. Commit to a consistent upload schedule.
3. Outsource your video editing to save time.
4. Write captivating titles that include keywords, numbers, and strong adjectives.
5. Be authentic to your personality and let your passion shine through.

I feel really compelled to find a way to make my ideas work. But maybe not through UA-cam? What are your thoughts?
you are so smart!
This video can make me succeed in life ....🤩
Thanks always Ali! For the cost you paid to an editor per video, were the videos long form or short form videos?
Thanks❤❤❤
Finally! This is what we want Ali 🤣
Hi Ali! Great vid. I also wanted to start a Yt channel and I wonder which language should I choose. It will be a specific niche videos and I afraid of 0 views for my videos if I do it in my own language (polish). Maybe english is better for bigger audience?
The previous year in October you also published the same video topic of who you start a UA-cam channel and grow it .
monetized soon 🎉🎉🎉
Hey Ali,
I follow your channel for a long time and you have been a great inspiration.
