- Hey guys! So I realized I've never really talked about my wedding in detail with you guys! I wasn't on UA-cam when I got married, so I never shared all the details before. I wanted to throwback in honor of my 8 year anniversary! June always gets me in such a good mood, and reminds me of my wedding! It's been such a journey 8 years later, but I still feel like the core of me is the same girl. I'm so thankful I'm married to a guy who allows me to be who I am, and encourages and supports me! I am always amazed of how wonderful and sincere human you are ☺️ getting married is not about the biggest party or the dress, or location. If that's the most important part, then something is wrong. I had a simple beach wedding in DR, everyone came and use it as their vacation time, so each person pay for their stay. We had a budget and I even rented my dress. 9 years later we still get comments on how much fun and how timeless it was.

I was a budget bride as well, and my husband and I cut corners where we could. I also had a buffet and everyone loved it, because they had a choice of what they wanted. Now, after over twenty years of marriage, I still wouldn't change a thing. I wish you and Byron many more years of happiness and joy! Your ring is lovely and so are the photographs of your wedding day.

I think simplicity is the best! The wedding is one day and marriage is a lifetime! So keep it simple and spend the money on a house, travel, kids college fund, the things that are really important. 💕

I'm only 19, but I really appreciate and admire the fact that you chose to go with an affordable wedding. For someone my age, it is important to know that I do have to have an expensive, glam wedding. It can still be perfect without spending a ton of money. I like how you were simple on your wedding. I just got married on June 6th, and my wedding was mostly DIY. I just wanted to make sure to have a small DJ, the perfect location, and professional photos. All in all, I was happy to marry the man I fell in love with. So happy for you, and everything you showe was beautiful!!

Your ring is absolutely gorgeous and ever since I've seen it, it's definitely what I want when I get engaged. Sometimes I look online at rings and I can never find anything with that style-its truly a beautiful ring and I love that it's different than the norm

I'm getting married in about 2 weeks (4th of july!) and this video went up for me at the right time :) We planned on going "affordable wedding" as well, but my parents ended up paying for most of it, which helped us quite a bit.

Thank you for this. We had no money. We payed $100 for my dress and $200 for the venue. Our church put everything else together for us. For the longest I was ashamed of my Wednesday night wedding and what people thought of us. But now 5 years later it doesn't even matter anymore! Thank you for this video. It was such an encouragement!

Yep! Simple is the way to go!! My dress was $250! We really got lucky with a lot of wedding things. For example, my husband works at a restaurant and one of the chefs is just amazing at what he does. They started talking and my husband asked if he could cook for our wedding and we would obviously pay him. Well, the chef, Adrian, said yes but he'll do it for free! All he wanted was my husband to show him how to make beer. (My husband brews beer at home). Deal!! LOL As far as details like decorating, my sister-in- law is SUPER creative and just overall talented in that department, as well as her Mom. They helped make beautiful flower arrangements and little touches here and there. The place where we actually got married was free because it was on a cliff in Pismo overlooking the beach. We just claimed it early the day of the wedding. I am so happy we did everything simple. Afterall, it's just one day. Thanks for sharing all your wedding memories and advice! ❤️

I fell in love with a 1500€ Maggie Sottero dress but did not want to spend this amount. After searching the internet I found a girl in UK who was selling this dress. She was wearing it only in church and changed for the reception so it was like new for 400€. So happy I ended up with 'my' dress without breaking the bank 😊 thanks for this video! So nice to listen to you speaking about this exciting time! 😊

Great video and I can relate to you about the budget. Focus on the things that really matter and at the end of the day is about starting that new life with your hubby. I've been happily married for four years now. Great tips and I sometimes feel the same way about the should have could have would have done things differently but it was still fun...definitely one of the best days of my life! I love this video. I found it very helpful. I've been married to my husband for 9 years in October this year and we have yet had a formal wedding. We got married at such a young age and done it so quick that now I am ready to have a formal wedding. With 2 kids and another on the way, I know that when it comes to planning our wedding it will definitely need to be budget friendly. So watching your video was inspirational and helpful.

I also had a budget wedding and got married at 21! The wedding was still extremely beautiful and had everything we wanted, we just got married on a Friday instead of a Saturday to save money, I hired my wedding dress and we had a cocktail style reception instead of a sit down dinner and everyone said it was one of the best weddings they'd been to. Im so glad we didnt go into any debt just for one day
