  • Just in case you haven’t heard - we’ve increased our luggage allowance to at least 20kg on all TUI package holidays when you fly with TUI Airways.* So, with that in mind, we invited a few of our colleagues to take on the TUI 20kg Luggage Challenge, to see how close they could get to the magic number. Let’s just say some of them definitely need a new pair of scales when they’re packing for their next holiday…

    We've just arrived back from a tui longhaul holiday....never again. A 20kg allowance is totally inadequate for 2 weeks we paid for the extra 5kg but that still doesn't cut it, any other airline i pay £75 to £100 for an extra checked back and i dont mind paying that but with Tui theirs no option.
    Its laughable that they claim its an increase to 20kg like were supposed to be over the moon with it.
    Dont get me started on the so called " extra legroom seats".....its a con.!

    So what!.Some of your staff at Tui that I have ever come across I say... are IGNORANT.
    Thoroughly ignorant.
    With two TUI staff out of five that were unoccupied by an actual face to face customer it took literally 10 mins for one of then to RELUCTANTLY walk down the length of the TUI store to 'bother' with the customer waiting at the reception desk.
    You could see with EVERY begrudged step of a downward depressed gaze that IT WAS a reluctance.
    I was waiting because the ONLY few brochures that were available were NOT on freely available DISPLAY but instead were stuck behind the 'reception' desk that was NOT manned. (Poor branch management there!!).
    I really did sympathise with the TUI staff member that reluctantly after 10 minutes decided to walk all the way from their desk to the reception desk, mainly because the other TUI staff member who was far more nearer tapping away on a computer COULD NOT GIVE A TOSS and TOTALLY IGNORED THE ONE AND ONLY NEW CUSTOMER IN THE STORE.
    As if they DID NOT MATTER. To them they did not.
    Looks to me that SENIOR MANAGEMENT at TUI HQ had better get to grips with their staff at their Birmingham, New St branch and likely as well EVERY OTHER TUI outlet. in the UK
    The much converted & wanted TUI brochure, upon later reflection, was soon RIPPED UP in to many pieces, unread, and is now awaiting recyclement, a holiday btw I could afford fifty of.
    TUI the travel agency outfit we hear with the biggest number of outlets of all travel agents in the UK, how on Earth is that possible with such ignorant staff?? and of cause with such incompetent TUI Senior Management that would employ such uncaring indifferent staff in their branches.
    I say a pox on TUI, they will never get a penny of my money, I advise People of the UK to never to give them any of your custom either. As truly they do not deserve it.
    If they could not care less from the start how would it be after they have obtained a huge amount of money from you?
    What an utter state the UK travel industry is in.
