Вставка
- Опубліковано 29 сер 2024
- Kristen Foxen has been involved in countless massive hands on Day 6 of the WSOP Main Event, but this hand with pocket kings was incredible to watch against one of the best online tournament players of all time, Niklas 'Lena900' Astedt.

Montoya is annoying af
Glad that donk is busto
Outstanding play by Foxen.
On another front, Maria Ho as a commentator is the goods; she could squeeze insight from a stone. I've been around a long time, but she's one of the best.
I find she's too talkative let Lon and Norm say something ffs it was them that people would tune for in the espn days
Kristen is playing extremely well in the main. I mean she has high earnings for a reason but she's ahead of so many other players, always well thought, always calm and just extremely smart. Love watching her play and hopefully she can make the final table. I rather have her than morris who can't be quiet for a single minute.
HEY! CAN YOU TURN UP THE MIC ON THE CHIP SHUFFLING? MY EYES HAVEN'T ROLLED INTO THE BACK OF MY HEAD YET!
Yeah couldn’t watch with the sound on at all
She’s playing excellently the past couple days. Would love to see her final table it
I want to see her clash against Shundan Xiao
lol these two guys are terrible
Pretty crazy one of the best female players ever will be the one to make Main Event final table.
29 years wait.
Vanessa Selbst is the only female who i think has a higher level of skill than Foxen.
I mean she played this hand like garbage. Luckily for her the other two players suck I would've snapped this off in a second.
Kristen is a beast!
montoya is such a tool lol, i can just tell
Broccoli head haircut 😂
He's a yank. Of course he is
The last folder is worse. Horrible lay down with his stack size, Montoyas talking and knowing Foxen has that bluff in her playbook.
@@daneschur4308lol
U wont accomplish no where close what he done
He is lena900 on stars
@@n_a8917that haircut needs to get punished
Kids, don’t try this at your 1/3 game.
Not that I believe Montoya is anything special, but I agree: I'd sooner make this move against either pros such as Astedt or Foxen, not someone who can't lay down top pair.
that dude playing with hos chips like that is very irritating
it’s official… I am rooting for Foxen to go the distance! She is such a crusher
Glad you made it official, we were all wondering! ☺️
@@DB-hl8sp I know
Absolutely LOVE how Poker GO teaches the importance of being results oriented!
So, if Astedt makes the river call, then they never make a "How to Play Pocket KINGS" video.
Perfect!
This helps my pro poker career a LOT!
Keep this into coming!
(It's ALL in the results)
💋
If Astedt makes the call, they still make the video, but they change the title by adding one word, how NOT to play pocket knigs. They change the context of the video by the results.
That kid is all kinds of annoying. Speaking out loud while 3 are in a hand, the most obnoxious chip shuffling and annoyed because people around him are playing poker. 🤣
Blocking the nut flush definitely makes her kings a nice bluff candidate on the river, but if you're folding AJ on that texture then I don't understand why you're mixing it up preflop with it.
I want to see her not just get to the final table, but I want her to win it. Fantastic player..
The percentage graphic was right on the flop. They both had 0% against her!
You read it wrong.
It's their percentage to win the pot. They can only chop against each other at showdown (or allin) and hers was higher before the river as she had nut flush draw...
@@idbetonmeit was a joke
so many reasons to like this bluff -- some timid play from the two guys in the hand which I think gives Foxen the idea, but realistically that board is really dangerous and difficult to call a big reraise with top pair. Three to a flush, straight options, and the board pairing on the river means a lot of drawing hands that didn't make a straight might hit trips. With a raise and two calls pre flop, and calls all around at the flop, it's hard to be certain that AJ is even best kicker. From Foxen's perspective though, flat calling with kings means it's very unlikely either has AQ or AK as either of those hands almost certainly reraise preflop (maybe AJ does too), so Foxen can infer if she is against an ace it's probably AT/AJ at best
Montoya has been so annoying with his chatter during the hands 🫣
Dealers need to enforce this. Tournament directors need to ensure that they do
How is it still happening, on any table, let alone at this stage
I don't mind the ruffling and shuffling of chips, but that nervous thing Fender Tremolo over there does with the clicking sound? I couldn't stand it. It was hard to listen to even in this 5 minute clip.
Anyway; Fantastic hand. None of them could have the nut flush and by flatting pre she also had al sorts of suited hands in her range. Pure class.
Also ten points if you know who Fender Tremolo is.
She's never checking a flush on the turn
Her bluff didn't make any sense
@@JohnSmith-su3zemade perfect sense they both showed weakness and that teeny bet on the end was pathetic
@@Gos1234567 It was a truly pathetic bet. It reeked of weakness, so she took a stab. I give her credit to spotting that and pulling the trigger, but there was nothing more to her bluff than that.
In a 3 way pot, she would have bet a strong for value on the turn. This was not a technical bluff
@@JohnSmith-su3ze well thats all you need sometimes, you spot weakness and pounce, doesnt matter if its theoritically correct or not, against these types of players you deviate from GTO.
The Haxtons and Chidwicks would sniff out the bs raise but these guys wont
She’s overrated. Just cuz she is getting d*cked down by A pro does not mean she is one.😒🕴🏼
Would be so sick if she takes this down tbh..
She is my favorite woman poker player of ALL TIME.
She's immaculate. Delighted to see Lena on a deep run.
If I do the same
Bluff in my 5 dollar tourney in gg poker first of all they snap me before I raise second they start to laugh at me
lol so true... even in 50 dollars.. they might pretend to think for 5 seconds and then call but they arent actually thinking
That’s why you have to understand your opponent’s capabilities. I have tons of tricks I rarely get to use in live cash because most people are not great players.
In the case of your micro tourneys, you just need to bet for value as an exploit if they call too much. There are plenty of bluffs you can learn but something like this isn’t wise against a calling station which most low stakes players are.
Don't try high level bluffs against non thinking players
Exactly people didn't call here because they weren't nutted. Only one with a heart has a Jack and it's extremely hard to call off for your life. Here Montoya should have check, shoved but noooo he's a donk. Got bluffed badly
Your first mistake is thinking people play online $5 tourneys the same as a live 10k tourney
She's a Foxen. She outclassed both of them who showed weakness all the easy way thru this hand
How the heck he didn’t make that called due he got plenty of chips behind. They played so sorry and I don’t know how they survive to days 6 lol
The guy who you are referring to is an online legend who is winning millions of dollars every year consistently for the past decade playing the highest stakes possible against the best players in the world so yea, not surprising he can make day 6 of the main, he’ll probably win it all with a decent run of cards.
@@justmusic2353 I think the original poster was just referrng to their lack of poker knowledge, not how Astedt made it to day 6. You can tell by the comment basically saying "lots of chips, why not call, who cares what they have".
How do you not shove on the flop with top pair and J kicker and also being short stacked? You end up donking away your chips and fold to a losing hand
This has been the nittiest Main Event I can remember.
Probably GTO approved
Ensan will snap it with aj. In seconds
Lol. Right! WTH?
@@cathdan That's why he's the goat
I'm not a pro but how did Montoya not shove on the flop or more so on the turn - with top pair, one card flush draw and essentially pot sized blinds behind???
Very scared play. Why even call preflop just to check fold top pair
Agreed. I was screaming shove! Easy all-in
Because he wanted to be a hero and get alot of tv/stream time. You can tell by his talk during the hand and the douchy glasses he has on.
What did they put her on? KJh, KTh? Suited connectors that made a boat? Very narrow ranges of hands beating AJ there that would likely flat the open and call the c-bet.
77, 66, A6, 67, 910h, K8h-KQh, Q8h-QJh, J9h/J10h. Maybe even some lower one gap suited hearts flats the button pre as well. The two pair combos and sets probably lean towards re raising flop especially multi way, however, when you have weak opponents you’re going to elect to flat some of the time.
The most amazing play I’ve ever seen in my life. She’s a savage animal, I have never seen a play like this!!!! Unbelievable, I’m a forever fan!
Nah, the bet from astedt is very bad on that river. He should check and call any bet from foxen
Thanks for the detailed analysis, now everything is clear.
Incredible! Well played!!
Beautiful play
Was this after the other KK vs AK episode ? what's an over call?
overcall is when someone has already called .... eg how Montoya calls after Kristen Foxen calls.
I normally don’t mind when players play with their chips… normally doesn’t bother me…. but whoever was constantly playing with them in this video for some reason drove me crazy
It's the poker equivalent of how rain is usually a soothing sound, but water drops at slightly irregular rhythmic intervals is Chinese water torture
Die by pocket Kings, kill with pocket Kings one day later.
credit to Foxen but Montoya is a bit of a muppet
She definitely has a set of something else besides k's! Wow 👌 👏 🏆 maybe this will be the first wsop womans champ.
Bb should have gone all in preflop
I have watched a ton of Kristen’s play, and I fully believe she is without a doubt a top 25 player today….much respect…stone cold killer
Lol ok
Great run by Kristen but I think maybe the video should be titled how to not play AJ off with Astedt and Montoya lol.
One of the best Buffs I have ever seen WOW!
you haven't seen a lot of hands lol A bad bluff, she has never value, just a mistake from lena folding, even more with all the info montoya gives talking so much.
She is locked in and can read her opponents, i think she will make final table.
Actually its called how not to fold AJ when the pot is double your stack.
This video should actually be titled how not to play AJ. These guys hit the card they are after and play so passively. Given the pot size and Montoya's stack size he may as well have called/been all in.
Incredible plays
Read about this hand on WSOP updates. Such a sexy high level bluff. Wow
Taking a spot where no one bluffs to bluff. Genius.
Brilliant play in that spot. She blocks flush draws with the Kh. I don't think she raises heads up but against two players it looks so much stronger.
her range consists of a lot 88-JJ after checking back turn, it didn't look like a flush for me
Most likely, this particular hand boosted her confidence and made her think she can make everybody fold their Ace while she holds a King. And Later, she acted in similar way in similar situation and did not make to the Final Table. Her opponent made a “Call” when she went “All In”
The betting after the ace hit on the flop was too light imo. They should have pressured her. Instead they gave the advantage back to her and she used it to run a perfect bluff.
That's a high risk, high reward move. Well played. I wonder how she had played leading up to this river re-raise bluff?
She is awesome
Astedt's sizing here is absolutely hilariously bad. If you bet that size its to induce and the only play is to call on the river.
She is doing very well. She is Top 10 in chip stacks as of now.
Thats a great play on her part
Or more precise how to play Montoya and Astedt's pasivity with a board favorable to her
Well played Kristen
Stone cold eyes, I even believed her
Lena gonna win!
play of the series so far IMO
1:05. What is the kitchen?
Lon is sexist?
Holy Rusted Metal!!
She earned it....she thanked them
Guy with J❤ often look that up in this spot
I would have folded kings after flop with 2 behind
This is what i call poker !! Shes a beast! And is my coach’s wife lol LFG KF
Dude bet the same bet on the river. He showed soo much weakness.
“Dude” as in Lena900 😂
Indeed. It was a scared weak bet & she sniffed it out.
@@Boss-ji4nw
What?
@@royfokerpoker1802 he's literally the greatest online mtt player of all time, so many fish in these comments lol
@@Boss-ji4nw That's right. "Dude". The extremely weak player betting on the river. Dude.
Genius 💪👏
Easy pick up against scared money. Looked like the right pot odds to call the river raise bet if you had any doubts, but they always have it right. :)
Lena900 one of the best online .... Scared money ... 😂😂😂😂 Ohhh dear
Love her yellow glasses
like Ho said - if she had a flush, would she check the turn? Kristen should have bet the turn and river if she wanted to represent a flush. What did Astedt think she had? Quads 66?? AA or A6 that he blocks or a pair of 77s that would most likely raise the flop? I'm not happy with how they played this hand but in the comments a lot of people appreciated it hahaha so poker will never die
A/J...river hits, first act and smallest stack...I would jam it. Put max pressure on any other one holding ace.
Hate it when people talk ahead of other people waiting to act 🙄
If he's in the hand and wants to talk, I don't care if he recites poetry, sings the blues, or starts speaking in tongues, he can say what he wants! LOL
No, you should not talk about your hand when you are not heads up.
@@d95mback It's poker. You should even be able to say your cards if you choose to. The J Gold rule is garbage.
Montoya misplayed that hand on every single street...
He played it weak. Got the weak result.
He really should have been shipping preflop squeezing with like 15BB
Montoya doubles through Foxen if he plays as he should; Astedt gets out of the way, Foxen calls off and Dame Fate has her say.
Perfect spot to jam pre!
💯! Horribly by him.
Got lucky firing kings with that line too 😢
Jennifer Aniston got game.
Foxen is definitely among the favorites to take this down both in terms of skill and popularity.
I'm not a fan of the online bracelets beefing up resumes these days, nor the semi-closed events for that matter. But Kristen Foxen is the real deal, no doubt.
Just her run thus far is a nice cherry on top of her poker resume, but a FT (or even better the bracelet) would really blast her into the stratosphere in terms of renowned players.
Not for nothing, it would also probably be a huge boon to breaking the 10,112 record next year inspiring a new crop of female players.
She obviously must’ve known they both had weak aces, maybe even both having AJ off. Can anyone tell me how? This is the most insane hand I’ve ever seen
PMSL the luckbox gets away with it again
We all want to be that luckbox though. Gotta be to win these things.
This is why IP is advantageous.
How did Danny Lazrus get eliminated?
Helps to get a draw heavy board so you can rep
Nice bluff tbh.
She could have both flush, full house with 77, 76 or 65, or even a bluff with better Ace. That's a lot of combo.
98s too
Flush too like KQhh
66
TBH she doesn’t have much bluffs here
6x is BB range. Not much 6x from her on button vs EP open with short stacks behind, 77 is way more likely.
@@vivavaldez87 they are folding postflop
She could have 76
Maybe 65
that is a clear example why AJ and AT should be avoided if they are not gonna show strenght. guys made weak decisions with them and were fearing AK or AQ or trips or flush. their stack size was also vulnerable. weak bets on the flop gave them away.
Alex has taught her well.
The constant chip clicking is so annoying in this specific video. Not sure why but can we find a way to not have the chips clicking directly in front of the mic?
The flat preflop In that situation with Kings, Pro's don't miss that.. If she did have AK should would not have flatted there, 100% AK is a 4bet in that spot. For protection . Bad play by both AJ's
And she's doing it vs men too. Unreal
Insanity
Why has pokergo been obsessed with this chick I’ve never heard of all this week??
Call me crazy, but counting your chips and putting them down in front of your cards means a call. Montoya picked up his chips and put them back in his hands.
Boss 💪
Her line didn’t make much sense there. Just check call for Alstedt. No point in betting that small on the river.
Not showing the AK vs Segle cost her the tournament. He might’ve called with AQ and she most likely doubles. Instead a bad board shows and he gets her to fold. Oops
She has the nut flush blocker and neither of them played it like they flopped a set
Raise into two ppl looks very strong
I hate when people play with their chips WTF
99% easy call
She's got a Jodie Sweetin vibe
Суперпро!!
I hope she wins
