It is very surprising to me that when you called out to the old man next door he heard you and he spoke to you face to face without you having to shout at him, although you indicated in your comment to someone that he is hard of hearing? Very well, it could be the case. Nevertheless, the thief or thieves would have spent a considerable amount of time at your property knowing that you were away and it was surprising that he never heard a single noise of the theft and vandalism. The key word here is 'knowing'... this person knew you were away. Ask yourself who knew you were away that particular night? Ma'am I do not want to scare you even further but I honestly believe that the individual/s that stole your livestock and vandalized your garden without stealing anything from the garden was committed by someone who is very vindictive and jealous of you and the progress you have achieved in such a short space of time. This is a very spiteful person or persons and if I were you I would watch my back and don't trust anyone, be it neighbors or anyone nearby. Keep polite and courteous but keep at arms length because it can happen again since you're being watched, and your comings and goings are being monitored. I truly hope the police finds the culprit but I suspect they may not since your livestock are already long gone or sold by now. I wish you success and blessings for the new year ahead and I'm confident you can achieve much once you finished grieving for your losses once again, and you will brush your knees and rise again. ❤🥰

How is it that the neighbor didn't hear anything? Not only would it take CONSIDERABLE time to gather them against their will BUT there would be a LOT of squawking from the chickens and ducks with the resistance!!
He was also old and hard of hearing. He still looked after them during the day, and at night he said they were still there, but when he woke up in the morning they were gone. He also said that the area was very deserted and he often lost chickens and ducks.

This is someone that knows you and someone who you know, possibly a neighbor or acquaintance of some sort. It is very surprising to me that when you called out to the old man next door he heard you and he spoke to you face to face without you having to shout at him, although you indicated in your comment to someone that he is hard of hearing? Very well, it could be the case. Nevertheless, the thief or thieves would have spent a considerable amount of time at your property knowing that you were away and it was surprising that he never heard a single noise of the theft and vandalism. The key word here is 'knowing'... this person knew you were away. Ask yourself who knew you were away that particular night?
Ma'am I do not want to scare you even further but I honestly believe that the individual/s that stole your livestock and vandalized your garden without stealing anything from the garden was committed by someone who is very vindictive and jealous of you and the progress you have achieved in such a short space of time. This is a very spiteful person or persons and if I were you I would watch my back and don't trust anyone, be it neighbors or anyone nearby. Keep polite and courteous but keep at arms length because it can happen again since you're being watched, and your comings and goings are being monitored. I truly hope the police finds the culprit but I suspect they may not since your livestock are already long gone or sold by now.

He was also old and hard of hearing. He still looked after them during the day, and at night he said they were still there, but when he woke up in the morning they were gone. He also said that the area was very deserted and he often lost chickens and ducks.
