Chuck Billy's voice has aged as well as anyone could hope for when it comes to aggressive music. Pretty much as good as his mid 90s voice, wish James Hetfield held up half as good over the decades.
Chuck Billy is one of the greatest metal singers of all time. Love how versatile his voice is. His vocals have aged like a fine wine over the years. 🍷🤘
Last week, I saw testament live. Chuck Billy sounds so fucking good, words can’t even begin to describe it. Over the Wall, Practice What you Preach, Electric Crown, The Pale King, WWIII, everything. He sounded spot on.
They've been considered a cheap Metallica knockoff for quite some years. I've always liked Billy's voice though, and more than 30 years later I still have a special place for songs like Souls of Black and The Legacy. They did have their own sound and they deserved more love 😉
@@Kaospatterntestament makes the best metal ballads even better than Metallica so not a good idea to compare them to Metallica, testament has its own legacy now!
I remember opening for Testament back in '97 in a little hole-in-the wall club in Akron, OH called Ron's Crossroads. We were a local Death Metal act called Underture. I took some LSD after we played and I don't remember much after that including how I got home! Good times!!
Alba Castillo Avi Israel The 1st Wave of Thrash Metal musicians yes, they are getting old and getting worst, even Lemmy from Motorhead played and sang better then them when he was alive (Lemmy is GOD !🤘🤘🤘), but have you ever listened the 2nd Wave of Thrash Metal bands ? Some examples: 1- Suicidal Angels (Greece) 2- Toxic Holocaust 3- Warbringer 4- Municipal Waste (crossover Thrash/Hardcore from U.S.A.) 5- Crisix (Spain) Just go to "Encyclopaedia Metallum" and search for Thrash Metal around the World.
@@paulofranco7099 But at least there are some metal bands who manage to keep their shit together and continue to make badass music today like Overkill and Voivod.
Some things I have to say in a comment Cool! We finally got an evolution of him with 2 new photos between his first and 2nd from the evolution and 2021. Ale, what if you did a thank you for watching screen at the end after you finish #5 We got the song still going at the end. I thought it was gonna start at 1986 since he joined that year.

I noticed that they had that "Master of puppets" vibe in their early years. It's actually really cool how much of an influence it had on some bands
I feel like their first three albums was kinda like Metallica's. Like their second album, they tuned up about a quarter step I think.

Still a boss and a stage presence that still dominates🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
still a full head of hair and still a powerful voice!
He is close to his 60th birthday, the thrash metal musicians are getting old
Yeah. And they’re still kicking ass like no one’s business.
Still Kicking ass… but we need to be ready when they pass 🥺.
Metal musicians are becoming bottles of wine or Scotch.
