You will make the mistake of thinking it is a secure operating system because 'security' does not mean 'secure'. It would require significant hardening to be more secure than Windows S. Although, it likely doesn't matter if they can break into your home. Under those circumstances, you need something that has been specially configured both at the hardware and software level, and some devices won't ever make the cut.
Yea, even the most secure os's can be breached. But without motive, why would anyone target your pc.
For me Kali is a weapon and it’s on bare metal. Yes I could use it as my daily driver but because it is a potential weapon and as my network is exposed if a bad actor gets it and uses Kali to attack someone else as far as law authorities are concerned I will have to prove it wasn’t me.
So leave my Kali PC turned off unless I am using it for study or attacking something on my network.

I would recommend against it. Kali is built to be offensive, and lacks a lot of defensive features most distros use.
Using a standard Debian or Debian-based box and then adding the Kali repos is much safer and stable as an end-user system.
Ideally though, the safest setup would be what Kali recommends. Running it live from a flash drive, or running it in a virtual machine on top of your base system.

Well, I actually do use it as my main OS. It's fine. The only problem I have ever had with it is it not using the more powerful GPU.
How has it been so far? Do you plan to keep it for long?
@@TheLinuxRealm Well I migrated from Windows, and I never really want to go back to it so no I am probably not gonna change anytime soon. And for how it's been, it's nice! Not much to say. It works for what I mainly use it for, which is programming.
