If you think about it, the C.A.R. shooting system, the gun-jitsu, the disappearing like a ghost, Sam Fisher did it before John Wick.
This game was wayyy more ahead than its time. Nostalgia. Loved it. Spent hour, hour and hour. Great game.

Eh, I think it's pretty clear that this game was a step behind the older SC games and even the MGS games that were still coming out. Just better than the new Ubisoft "tactical" and stealth games. The only thing they really stepped up was the CQC.
@@billbill6094 The older Splinter Cell games were really detailed with the levels of brightness and noise but Sam controlled like a tank. I wouldn't really call it a step back. Blacklist is way more fluid and fun.
Ya I actually much prefer what they did in blacklist. I like the older games but they were a tad too slow and clunky with really random ai. Blacklist is the perfect mix of old and new splinter cell. I'd love to see another game of this style but they improve it even more.@@Grapefruit5000

I loved this game back on the ps3, even played all the coop missions on perfectionist. Got all trophies apart from the pvp mode ones since server was dead, game was so much fun

Just played through Elden Ring again, and every time I felt like the combat was clunky (often), I would think of Blacklist.
Why does a 2013 game have smooth, satisfying combat, and a 2022 game feel like driving a car full of peanut butter?
Reminds me of some of the best Prenatual videos. But the music with a sound of teeth drilling machine really made it uncomfortable to watch.
