@@Katie-ke4sp Hey! Although I was offered a position in Madrid, I ended up declining it since I accepted the position in Lyon (TAPIF programme). I had applied to both the programmes simultaneously and luckily got accepted to both. I'm hoping to do NALCAP after my assignment in Lyon.

Hi Aimee, I absolutely love your videos! I'm hoping to move to Spain this September as a Language Assistant too. With the pandemic in mind, how has it been making friends? I'm super excited but a little nervous that COVID will make this harder! 💖
Hi Hanna, really glad you enjoy the videos! To be honest COVID has made the situation harder, it's a lot less natural making friends but it's still possible! I made most of mine from aux Facebook groups - most people are so keen to meet new people still and go for a coffee! Also if you live with quite a few people everyone has their own little groups so you get to meet them too! :)

@@hannahbennannah No worries, I'm honestly so happy that it's useful!! I'm not too sure at the moment what the next plan is but it's amazing here I would love to stay. I just did A Level Spanish and honestly just came out here with the hopes of being immersed and improving it. It's still a struggle but a challenge is always best haha!! But thanks for thinking its fab!! 😂 Are you thinking of coming to Madrid or any other region? x
@@aimeeweekestravels That's awesome, immersion is key! I was lucky enough to live in Spain as an Erasmus student (years ago now lol) and my Spanish improved so much. To be honest, as long as there's a buzz I'm really not fussed where I end up. I've applied for the British Council and Meddeas programmes, so all my fingers are crossed! It’s crazy how bars and restaurants are a open rn in Madrid! Hope that means the situation isn’t so bad there ?
At the time it was doing quite well! Not so much anymore as the cases are on the rise again but the bars are still open! Stay safe!
Hi Aimee , I’m planing on applying as a language assistant this year. I’ve been noticing that the the bus ride is pretty far. When you were looking for apartments was it cheaper to be away from the school or is there no apartments near by ? Sorry for the long question !

Do u work on a student visa or work visa actually I wanted to know you enrolled in to which program.
I luckily didn't need a visa because of my country, but I would assume you would need a work visa. I applied with the British Council
