Garbage picking and treasure hunting are how I recover the majority of my inventory for scrapping, scrap metal, re-selling, rummage sale items, etc. When you depend on salvaging items from the trash or wild it's a bit of a gamble. Sometimes you find an item or two, sometimes you'll find multiple items but most of the time you just find trash. lol.

Great point. To reinforce, check prices of things on eBay or other platforms using model numbers and barcodes. Scrap is the lowest value you will ever receive for something. “Always, know your crap before you scrap.” Maybe that should be a tshirt?
