The K2 videos show the bot moving so slowly as to be useless for most tasks. The movements seem to be very inefficient, barely able to accomplish a task. ID3P robot Is just repeating a set movement with much help from the experimenter and many mistakes. These things are years from real-world use. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
I wonder when Boston Dynamics will start selling their Atlas and if they even have plans to continue such project to make it not fail. Because they need advanced learning in this machine to really push things above what we expect from humanoid robot.
When people frequently see robots performing difficult moves every day, it might lead them to mistakenly believe that they can do those moves themselves.
175cm - so finally not a toy (as the Unitree one at 130cm). Can stand up - one of my requirements. Hands, not manipulators. Can be something. Still does not look perfect and I really want better feet - something that can handle shoes (for i.e. cleaning the snow). But we are getting there. Can not wait to see when the first ones are usable and can be ordered ;) 1 year for them being shit, 2 years for them being bad, 3 years and humans have a real problem.
I'm Japanese, and the body shape of robots is roughly the same as that of modern Japanese men. If you're too tall, you'll be heavy and consume more power, and if you're 160cm tall, you may not be able to reach your hands when doing various tasks. A robot about the size of a Japanese person would be just right. From now on, the world will be like the movie ``I, Robot'' where large numbers of robots roam human society. People will see a world roamed by a second human race, similar in stature to the Japanese.

Thank you for showing off more than just one. I like to see the competition.
