  • DIY deep cleaning video of our used Snoo. It was my first time cleaning one!
    Tools you will need:
-Philips screw driver. There are a LOT of screws so you might consider using a drill or driver to speed things up.
-This flathead driver or butter knife
-narrow vacuum nozzle to suck up dust & particles
    -cleaner for fabric & plastic
    -box fan to dry quickly
    -towels
Tips: watch the whole video before attempting. I learned some things along the way 😂 Use small bowls or containers for all the screws, clips and covers. I wouldn’t recommend disassembling a Snoo any more than this, they have aren’t meant to be taken apart due to safety reasons.

Struggled with putting back the six screws until I read the comment that explained what was happening. Basically the thing the screws latch on to falls away/downward when the screws are removed. As a result it’s much easier to install those six screws if you lay your Snoo sideways and then tilt it a little further so the thing the screws need to latch on to falls back towards the hole. Then leave the Snoo on its side while you wiggle the base and search for the screw’s hole with a flashlight and the screw.

Tip for those 6 screws, I had some longer screws of the same diameter (I think M4) and used one in the centre hole to help pull up the lower guides before putting in the original screws either side, then it's easy to swap the middle screw. The problem is the lower guides drop and the screws are not long enough to get a start and pull the guides back up

Using some longer screws make getting it back in really easy

The hardest part is definitely to get the 6 long screws back in place… I put the basket on a clean mat and tried different angle (lean the basket against top edge, like almost straight up on the side way) and kept moving the inside at the same time. Finally I was able to secure the two middle screws… feel like such an achievement!!

Yes. Thank you so much!! Excellent tutorial and tips.
This is something that Snoo should address! I it retails for $1200+ and comes with this fabric mesh that is impossible to clean. (quickly and easily!) Hopefully Snoo will re-work this, and build it with material that can be hosed down, the fabric snapped back on quickly and easily, etc. anyways! Fully appreciate your tutorial.
When I unzipped the back on mine and looked inside, it was very dusty between the two pieces of mesh. 😳 AUGHHH!! Time to get to work. Good luck with your baby, as well. 💖

I highly recommend against taking this apart. It can be put back together, but it is labor intensive. After a very long struggle, I have managed. If you do take it apart to loosen the fabric, I would not take the metal plate off. That’s where things really went wrong. It depends on what kind of deal you can get or what it’s worth to you. I paid $850 and for the amount of time and frustration it took to clean, I would’ve sooner bought one new or rented.

Very annoying to get the 6 longer screws in but I found a pretty easy way. Take the Snoo and flip it upside down between two tables with a gap in the middle and work on it from underneath. That will bring the plates down so that you can easily screw them in. Helps to have two people to lift and flip it. Once I figured this out, I got all screws in within 2 minutes. What a poor design though.

Hi - I’m having a hard time snapping the pieces together shown 5:08-5:20 or so. They’re arranged correctly, but only easily snap in on the back half beside the mesh. The front part of the top plastic pieces doesn’t want to snap back in. Some go in fine, most don’t.
Did you run into this problem and do you have any recommendations for making this easier?
I’ve tried pressing a flathead into the slot to get them to snap, but they just won’t click.
UPDATE: ok - the flathead can work if other people have this problem too. Just be careful. I broke a small plastic piece on the bottom connector, with no structural damage, but it helped get several others in that just wouldn’t otherwise snap

To engage the 6 screws back into place easiest way I found was to put a 3mm or 2.5 mm Allen key down one of the holes and once engaged u can put the first screw in and should be it

The major CON is they act like they for enviroment but they refuse to sell parts like motors that are known to fail, so if out of warranty from used or second baby and stops your out of luck

You can screw the clips back on before refitting the fabric to the base. I found this easier. Once fabric is fitted the top clips can be put on. I put long match sticks through the middle holes of the 6 bolts. The one I have done had broken o rings on the bearings so a bigger rebuild. It is possible and I did completely remove the fabric to clean it but it is a lot of screws to undo. I’m a mechanical engineer, took pictures and got it all back together fine and exactly the same but if you aren’t confident in your abilities then best not to attempt it.

For the 6 screws, I just gently stick my hands underneath the platform and felt the metal plate. Lined up the metal plate’s hole with the bottom of the platform hole where the screw goes through. It was pretty easy rather than keep trying to look through the holes with the flashlight. But definitely have to be gentle.

Also, before you put it together again, use some silicone or other plastic lubricant on all moving joints.

  • @mookie_fan_84

Taking the metal plate off is not necessary for most clean ups. My baby just threw up a foot in the air, hit our bed that was next to the snoo, it got under the mattress somehow and in between the two layers of mesh, but there was none at all under the metal plate. I could have just taken the plastic clips off without messing with the big screws and would have been able to clean it just as well.
The difficulty with the large screws is because the part they are supposed to screw into drops down once you take them out and the screws can’t reach it. I set the snoo on its side and used a long thin screwdriver to find the middle hole. You will know that you’ve found the hole once the screwdriver goes in deeper then the length of the screw. Then, while holding the screwdriver in the hole, tilt the snoo (like you’re starting to flip it upside down) and then put in the side screws. As they start to catch the thread of the part underneath they start bringing it up and the middle screw is no problem at all. You have to repeat the whole thing on the other side as the two sides are two separate pieces.
As someone else said above, if ou have the same type of screw but longer, you can also just put the longer screw in the middle hole to bring the part up and then replace it with the correct screw once you’ve screwed the side screws in.

OK to screw the six screws back in the only thing that worked for me is to rock the bassinet back-and-forth after tipping it on its side and screwing them in while it was like that

For anyone else attempting this step I highly recommend using a longer implement like a bamboo skewer to line up the holes. It makes it 100% easier. Pt. 2 if you’re able to, inverting the bassinet and lying under it to let it’s natural weight push down against your screwing the screws up helps as well.

Used Snoos go for $600-$1000 depending on how many previous owners. They are $1,600 new plus tax. I paid $700 for mine with accessories and it’s very dirty. It was not disclosed when I purchased or else I wouldn’t have bought it. It’s cleaning up good though.

They should have instaled gaskets to keep liquid out.
Poor quality engineering. But dont worry folks it has WiFi 😂
