  • The magnificent Murray River Walk showcases the heart of South Australia's outback riverland on both foot and boat, and is one of the Great Walks of Australia.
Departing from Renmark, three hours from Adelaide, the Murray River Walk is a four day, three night walking journey through the surrounds of Australia's longest and arguably most important river, the mighty Murray.
Part of the Riverland Ramsar site of internationally important wetlands, the Murray River is home to over 80 different species of birds - some exceptionally rare - making it an especially exciting experience for bird watchers. As well as birds, you'll get to see kangaroos, reptiles, amphibians and lots of other Australian wildlife, as well as seasonal flora alongside ancient river red gum forests and other old growth trees.
Staying on a custom built state of the art luxury houseboat, the High River is an eco-friendly pioneer, featuring 52 solar panels to power cruising among other sustainable operational features. With ensuite cabins, a rooftop spa and a living and dining area with glass walls to ensure spectacular views over glowing red cliffs, it's also a stunning place to spend time and cruise nearly 70km of the Murray.
With a passionate team guiding you every step of the way and teach you all about life on this incredible waterway, the Murray River Walk is an outback walking and nature experience that will be hard to forget.
