I graduated from U of M in 1991. The title made me curious because I didn't remember a North Quad but I now know that this is a dorm that was constructed after my time there. Thanks for the video. I am partial to Stockwell where I stayed for 2 years but this dorm looks pretty good.

FYI- Before North Quad was built, the Frieze Building stood in that location. Named after Henry Frieze, a famous linguist. The Frieze Bldg held classrooms for speech & radio/TV courses.
Before I learned who it was named after, thought the Frieze Bldg was called such because you would FREEZE walking over there in the winter since it was so far away! 😂😂😂😂

Not sure it's newly renovated as opposed to it's just the "newest" dorm built in 2010.
It was formerly the Frieze Building and it was renovated to become North Quad
They kept part of Frieze and built around it.@@ashleylewis6347
