Don't play Ultra after burning out from a limited-great-league meta. Ultra is the middle-man that Niantic ignores. Have a couple, decent, Master teams; Use Master league only when Great isn't an option. We're all burned out from Great league for a reason, it's most played for a reason. Great league is the most diverse/sustainable meta, even if you grind hard enough to compete in Master. Honestly, I take a break from the game during times when we have no great league option, and when we only have severely-limited great league. IMO, it's the only way to avoid complete burnout. I know you'll lose-out on upload time, we'll miss you while you're off, but it's not worth going insane with limited-Great/Ultra. If you have a few hundred to spend, and are willing to walk 20Km/day, Master is doable. Ultra is too limited, it's not a break from a limited-Great league. I promise, just take a break. You'll lose a week, or two, in videos. But Ultra is not sustainable, Master as well unless you're high-pay and very high-catch/hatch.
I'm a 2016 start, I promise that we'll all need multiple breaks from the game. Only reason I'm still here is because I take breaks. Months-long breaks.
That is why i have Poliwrath on my current Ultra League team or any Ultra League team I'm building for that matter just to counter that Feraligatr safe swap...
a questionable counter if you'd ask me. counter and claws are both neutral and most charge moves from either side are resisted. i assume you at least run dynamic punch then?
@@jamainebuzzar671 ok i just looked it up on pvpoke and i was wrong. poliwrath is actually the 2nd best counter to feraligatr (after guzzlord) in the 1 shield matchup. in the 2 shields stuff like charmers and flyers are ahead, but yeah... i wonder if niantic expected feraligatr to become this dominant throughout leagues by giving it claws, and i also wonder what they may do to tune it down again.
As shocked as I am to admit this. I am having fun playing in the ultra league. It’s still a small meta yes but my counter is running focus blast on amphros. Basically no one shields anything against amphros so I fire off that blast almost KO anything. Other than that I have tapu fini and A-9 as double fairy in the back
Hi Dan I saw that master league was coming into rotation and wanted to play it. I am a free to play and have Dragonite Necrozma dawn wings mamoswine and excadrill level 50. I can raid one of the legendarys in rotation and get enough xl candies. What should I run?
i'm f2p as well and highly doubt i will ever get to properly swim with the whales in ML. i mean, if even a f2p veteran like Dan doesn't feel like he can compete eye to eye up there, then it's probably not worth for a relative newcommer like myself to even try. at least GL and UL are fair playing fields without p2w advantages.
Just have to buff the stats of non meta mons. Don't nerf moves to to over powered pokemon AKA lanturn haha really simple. Or can they rework the cp system to include alll the stats from main series games
What if they lower the power of blast burn, hydro cannon and frenzy. May not change the meta a lot but it’ll give other Pokemon a chance against them in every league
@@squozenfrozen1645 it was apparently originally 90 base damage (I believe it’s now 80). Strangely it was nerfed back in 2019 so it was a long time ago and prior to the start of GBL even. I remember people complained about it for Silph tourneys.
Dont know why tapu fini is ranked #4 its not that good...its good don't get me wrong it can b a menace but more times then not it doesn't do as much as some others who are rankes under it... Seriously Ape and even skele put in more work

I much prefer OGL over UL, but you best believe that UL is way less rps than Fossil cup

I’ve been running shadow feraligator + galar weezing + talonflame. It’s a tough match for this team
Registeel is so busted I love using it haha, usually gets a shield on opponents counterswaps including skeledirge and poliwrath

@@nait5340 I know it is; that's how OP Feraligatr is.. You don't need DP to win but you definitely going to need to use a shield...

I'd love to see Hydro's power in particular lowered, that would REALLY shake things up in every league.
Ironically, hydro cannon was actually nerfed once a long time ago so imagine if it had not been nerfed at all.

Hydro needs to be nerfed a little more still either that or they need to buff the water resistance on Mons. Resisted hydro cannons do too much damage.
