Got rid of my FNX 45 Tactical and swapped for an HK P30L in 9mm, but I’d still like to return to the .45 ACP at some point. The ammo is usually nonexistent in my gun stores though
Hey I noticed in the video you have a tendency to raise your shoulders and push your head down when shooting. Have you considered keeping your shoulders down and head up?
Food for thought, 9 mm is great, but ballistically 40 caliber makes a bigger cavity , stated by FBI reports , 45 is slower but even makes bigger cavity yes 9 mm has been improved but also every other caliber been approved in performance , this is why everybody shoots 9mm 124 grain +P gold Dot for a defense around, BUT : +p 124g 9mm has the same recoil if not more than the 40 180 grain Ranger. Cool video 👍
I would read the FBI's white paper on why they switched back to 9mm. They measure ballistic performance by penetration to reach vital organs, not wound cavity. Velocity determines wound cavity and with all pistol calibers being slow, relative to rifle calibers, medical examiners generally cant tell the difference in caliber by wound cavity. All things considered 9mm is the superior option.
