Nine Muses members was known for being one of the tallest girl groups in kpop and all original members were like models. The problem with the debut is because there were really young members in the group doing the sexy concept and Sera was the leader and didnt agree with that and the younger members felt uncomfortable.
I’m fairly sure some members came out and said they were never models and it was just a branding thing. They also had members leave very quickly and have that one infamous member that said she left because “she can’t sing”
Well the concept was that the members would also be working as models or actresses when they weren't working on a comeback. That's why their company tended to cast taller trainees. The concept also worked against them because a lot of Koreans considered them a "gimmick" idol group.
Ok so a really quick summary: - No Playboy - Debuted as 9 (Sera, Minha, Hyemi, Euaerin, Eunji, Lee Sem, Rana, Bini and Jaekyung). - Rana, Bini and Jaekyung left. - Figaro - Remaining 6 with the addition of Hyuna. (total 7) - News - Addition of Kyungri (or Gyeongree) (Total 8) - Ticket - 8 members. - Dolls - Addition of Sungah. (Full 9 member formation with Sungah, Sera, Hyemi, Eunji, Lee Sem, Euaerin, Minha, Hyuna and Kyungri) - Wild - Full 9 member formation - Gun - Full 9 member formation - Glue - Full 9 member formation - Sera, Eunji and Lee Sem left. - Drama - Addition of Keumjo and Sojin. (8 member formation - Keumjo, Sojin, Hyemi, Sungah, Kyungri, Hyuna and Minha and Euaerin) - Hurt Locker - 8 members - Sleepless Night - 8 members - Sungah, Minha, Euaerin and Hyuna left. - Remember - 4-member formation with Hyemi, Kyungri, Sojin and Keumjo. - Love City - 4 member formation. - Disband with "Remember" (different song than the other one) as a disbandment song as a present for fans. - Kyungri also has a solo song called Blue Moon. - Hyemi is the only member that stayed in the group from start to finish. She debuted as a maknae and ended as a leader. - Vocal line all across was Hyemi, Sera, Kyungri, Hyuna and Keumjo. Rap line was Euaerin, Eunji, Sungah (sometimes), Sojin and Lee Sem. Leaders all across were Sera, Hyuna and Hyemi. Visuals were Minha, Sojin and Kyungri. - Nine Muses was the most popular group of the non-popular groups at the time and they were known to the general public because of it. - A kpop dance cover group that I was part of made a cover video of News and Sera reacted to it on her channel, the video is still there :D I was Hyemi
@@peachxtaehyung It's K4D. I'm not a part of the crew anymore and it's been a few years now, but having her react to us was a dream come true for me as a long time fan. Btw here's a link to her reaction video: ua-cam.com/video/CKozCRBn-3g/v-deo.html
Thank you for reacting to them! anyway just my recommendation for the next 9muses reaction: - Figaro - News - Ticket - Gun - Drama you should check their bbc documentary to know them more (sera was kind of the main pov)
Thank you for your reaction !! 9Muses is one of my fav groups of all time ! Please for the next reaction video you definitely should watch News, Ticket and Figaro !!!
You totally need to react to Wild live! Sera adds in some crazy high notes that aren't in the studio version, and she kills it every time, even while dancing! Also, NineMuses has one of the best discographies in all of Kpop, they were and continue to be one of the most criminally underrated groups.
Euaerin deserves more recognition. She never fails in her bars. She is always on fire 🔥🔥🔥 Edit: History of how I became a Muse in 2015. I am watching a rewind of Show Champion and 9Muses performing Drama. Their live sound is so amazing, they are so pretty and the choreo slaps. Nothing to miss in their stage. I started watching all their Drama stages and when they came back with Hurt Locker (the best summer release that year for me), that just made me fully enter the fandom. Kinda sad that I only have Drama, Hurt Locker, and Sleepless Night promotion with the 8 ladies but it gives me joy every time one of them gets married and the wedding photo for the bride turned out to be like a group album photos ♥ They have a very special place in my Kpop lifetime.
I would recomend reacting to: News, Ticket, Gun, Drama, Sleepless night. And if you want they also have a sub unit called Nine Muses A (the last members that remained in the group): Lip 2 Lip and Remember
That song has literally been on my favorites playlist for years and has never been taken off even though I routinely delete songs when there's over 100 just to keep things fresh
Yess, I love 9Muses! They were rumored to have comebacks last year but sadly... either way, their music is so good so Im happy you heard some of their songs ^^
This was SO CLOSE to being the most iconic back-to-back-to-back-to-back reaction of Hurt Locker was replaced with Gun. 4 AMAZING comebacks all in THE SAME YEAR!
Interesting that you said you might like Wild better live, as it actually has one of the best K-pop live stages ever!! You should definitely react to it!
Thank you so much for reacting to them 😭 They have so many incredible songs is INSANE! Please react to GUN, news and Ticket next!! They are amazing songs and ALL talented
9muses is one my fave ggs!! They have amazing discography and their vocals are also insane! Namyu(9muses) line up changes a lot they really went from ot9 to ot6 to ot8 to ot5 to ot4 😭😭😭 their company is sht the girls deserve so much better, I hope you will check some of their members who had solo
Nine Muses is one of my fave groups! You should definitely check out their documentary. It gives you such a HUGE insight not only to their journey but how the kpop industry worked back then. ❤️
OMG😭Thank you for reacting NINE MUSES!!! If you want to watch their latest group performance, you can check out Dolls special stage on MMTG(문명특급) in 2021, they're still doing great💗And about the girl you keep noticing in the reaction who sings very well and always sings the beginning part of the song, her name is Park Gyeong-Ri, I love her voice toooo!!! She also has her solo songs which are very good. If you're interested in some solo stuffs you can check it out too💗btw Thank you for this reaction🥰
OMG a 9Muses reaction!! One of my favourite groups! They kind of had a resurgence in 2021 for being under appreciated in their bops and they reunited to perform Dolls on mmtg. I would recommend Drama, Figaro, Ticket, News & Gun! Love your throwback thursday videos 😭
LOVE 9MUSES ❤❤❤ "Camera work is weird" 😂😂 It typical 2nd gen. 2nd Gen the generation known for silly, quirky, sexy and flirty.. and a bit extra emphasis on the sexy. This GEN of kpop was very much known for it's sexiness. This was peak "kpop is the industry that "sells sex", but doesn't have sex" LMAO!!!
11:21, thats Kyungri, she was like the most popular member, visual and also in the vocal line and dance line, she joined the group a little later after their debut. At 12:02 Thats Hyuna, she also was a leader for sometime until she leaved the group and was in the vocal line. At 14:22 thats Minha, she was also visual of the group. At 14:45 Thats Sungha, she was also a rapper but the rapper that you saw in Dolla and you thought it was her wasnt part of the group in Hurtlocker anymore. Sera wasnt part or Nine Muses in Hurtlocker anymore, she leaved the group before that because she didnt agreed with their company and 2 new girls was added, the girl that you liked: 15:35, her name is Keumjo and she was one of the main vocalist. And 13:45, Sojin, she was in the rap line. Sojin and Sinb were trainees together at Big Hit btw, they know each other. Actually Nine Muses had alot of change in their formation through out the years, alot of members leaved and joined because their company didnt managed them well, and they wasnt so good promoted, thats why they werent one of the most popular ggs and never get a win, buy they were known back in the days
@@denisexi90 Oh, it can be. I remember that was even a documentary but I thought she leaved the group, but now that you say I kinda remember that maybe she was kicked out because she was the leader and try to protect her members maybe and was against some decisions of their company. But Im not so sure
@@denisexi90 he announced it like that but we know that she (sera) asked for some authority/right about decide what they will wear or not or what concept they will create in the future when the contract renewal time came and their CEO absouletly didn't like it one day, news about her leaving the group was suddenly published and Sera was completely silenced +threatened by the CEO, preventing her from doing anything sera didn't even know that she was kicked out of the group until the news published
Namyu truly had many of the boppiest bops that ever bopped. Their 2013-14 lineup was a genuine talent powerhouse, and their full album from that period (also their only full album, sadly), Prima Donna, remains one of my all-time favorite albums. It's a damn shame that Star Empire was a dumpster fire of a company with abusive leadership.
If you want to get a behind-the-scenes look at 9Muses, you should check out a BBC documentary titled "The Nine Muses of Star Empire" (the full documentary is 82 min, but there is a shorter 47 mi cut as well). Surprisingly, their company, Star Empire, allowed the filming crew to show quite a bit of the unpleasant realty of forming the group and preparing it for debut.
Yes, yes, YES! Austin, you need to watch the documentary. You will understand the traumatic experience that 9 Muses was, and get a deeper appreciation for Sera’s approach to K-pop. They were so excited, then pushed so hard, then had such a rough relationship with their company… And they were still a very good team of performers in spite of it all. Tough career. Tough girls!
Clicked as soon as I saw this. Loveeee 9Muses. So many gems throughout all their lineup eras. They had a mature aesthetic which got them more female fans than male fans so they didn't rise up as high as their peers. We kept hearing about a reunion so hopefully it still happens. Star Empire was never one of the more wealthy companies, having some success in late Gen 1 with Jewelry then in later gen 2 debuting 9Muses and ZE:A (which now more people know their actor members Siwan, Hyungsik and Dongjun and variety star Kwanghee). Later in Gen 3 they tried again with Imfact.
please do another part of throwback thursday for Girls Day!! they have many bops that you haven't check out like "I'll be yours", "female president" , "Ring my bell" , "Darling" , "Twinkle Twinkle" , "Nothing last forever".
Wild was really popular back in their days. I loved it when they cameback with this song. But is really typical from this time and probably outdated nowadays. In this time of kpop sexy concept was really popular. In this time alot of groups was known for their sexy concept: Sistar, Aoa, Nine Muses and Dalshabet (I love them too, they would also be a good group to react)
a short information: at the beginning 9 Muses was a girl group consisting of 8 young model girls (Jaekyung, Bini, Lee Sem, Eunji, Hyemi, Euaerin and Minha) + Ssera which found by Star Empire the aim of Star Empire was to train these attractive, tall and beautiful girlies and marketing them as a "unique girl group that includes model (sexy and beautiful girls) - singers" to the media and make a great rival for Girls Generation (every agency's dream girl group) but the things didn't work out the way CEO's wanted because the career plan etc. he drew for the girls and the way the girls were treated were completely wrong their debut song"No Playboy"known as the worst debut in the industry, was seen as a complete fail because the concept drawn was completely wrong for girls of that age and although there were many talented ones among them, some of them were just"models", as so-called due to the fact that No Playboy didn't provide the expectisement that both the CEO and the girls wanted and the mental and physical violence that the CEO inflicted on the girls behind the scenes, members Jaekyung and Bini left the group to never to return to the group again while Lee Sem or Euaerin (i don't remember exactly) left the group and in a short time, returned to the group and then those 2 members were replaced by Hyuna, Kyungri (Gyeongree) and Sungah over time, but member departures and additions happened a lot throughout 9Muses' career because the girls never got what they deserved and their rights have been defeated a lot (for example Ssera kicked out of the group by the CEO's itself because she wanted some changes on their contract rules as like"they will be able to decide on what they wears and the concepts they'll create"then CEO didn't like it and threatened her as like"i can broke your legs"🤓
i highly recommend watching the 9Muses documentary and some videos about their mistreatment as like: ua-cam.com/video/Gx5wkAtqBwU/v-deo.htmlsi=XXmHGvVOuvbWD8Pp
OMG YES 9muses had so so many good songs. Funfact: I believe they're the tallest kpop girl group in terms of average height with majority of the members being over 170cm. Also, 9muses as a group had like a graduation concept where members left and new members were added over time. So over the course of their career there was quite a few line up changes. I think the idea was so they can always have 9 girls to represent the 9 muses, but I think in reality they didn't have 9 members majority of the time. And yeah I believe Sera had left the group by the time "Hurt Locker" was released.
9Muses! Awesome! Love them. Like you, I like (and kinda miss nowadays) a little bit mature voices, as well as these dance lines. Their voices are so good, and I kinda forgot how good their rapline was. Yeah, there were a few weird camera angled shots. It happened quite a few times during 2nd gen unfortunately. I recommend continuing this 9Muses deep dive for now (otherwise it wouldn't really be a "deep" dive 😅). I recommend Figaro, and Drama. For a next deepdive, if you haven't done them yet: T-ARA, AOA, Orange Caramel, Davichi, After School, Stellar.
Didn't expect a 9MUSES reaction in 2024, but I'm not complaining. 👍 They are one of the representative of sexy KPOP in the second generation. My favorites from them are the title track Figaro and the bsides Whatever & Action. Maybe something for next time? They were in talk for a comeback last year, but I didn't know what happend to that. Next Throwback: Wonder Girls or KARA
I was waiting for this so bad, 9muses is my fav group ever, thanks for reacting to them, all their songs are masterpieces, the ones that I recommend are: Who R U (bside) Love city Gun Drama Ticket Fígaro News
Yay! I've always known you would like them. Their music was always so good and it really frustrated me that they were never taken seriously and they ended up disbanding without a single music show win. But I think a lot of that was because the company focused way more on their sex appeal than their talents. The other songs I would recommend most are; Sleepless Night, News, Ticket and 기억해(Remember) - not to be confused with their disbandment song Remember which is a ballad XD For a future throwback thursday, I think you would also like Laboum~
9muses deserved so much more love. wild is defs still one of my fav kpop songs and glue defs grew on me over time for some reason because that song slaps so hard
OMG FINALLLLY. Years ago, I used to tell everyone to react to their dance practice of Figaro. Its SO SATISFYING. I really hope you check it out. Edit: I went back and checked it out again lol. 12 years later, Figaro dance practice still gives me goosebumps. Synchronisation Queeens
When I first started getting into Kpop, I watched a documentary on this group called "The 9 muses of Star Empire", which is on youtube. It was very eye opening, and now Sera is one of my favorite youtubers.
The rap line you see here actually consists of 2 members who were originally sub-vocalist during their debut. Leesem (6:48) was originally the rapper, then they moved Euaerin (22:24) to the rap position and stayed with 2 rappers. Later, starting from "Dolls" era, Lee Sem said she didn't like rapping and wanted to be a vocalist, so they switched her with Eunji (23:57).
I’m so happy you reacted to Nine Muses! They have so many great songs. I would recommend Figaro (my personal favorite), News, Ticket, and Gun, all of which happen to be produced by my favorite producing team Sweetune, as are all of the songs you just reacted to, except Hurt Locker. They also produced a huge portion of Infinite’s, KARA’s, and Snuper’s (one of my criminally underrated favorites) music, including all of their most iconic songs. If you’re into that sound, my throwback Thursday recommendation is Boyfriend. They were heavily produced by Sweetune and they have so many incredible songs, my favorites being I Yah, I’ll Be There, Love Style, & Don’t Touch My Girl. Bounce is probably their most popular song and also really good. They’re an extremely underrated group.
Nine Muses is still one of my fave K-pop girl groups!! I think they were really underrated. Figaro is kind of a weird song but I love it (sounds like they're singing, "K-pop-pop tonight!") Drama is great, same with News. I pretty much loved all of their singles. Their vibes just always worked for me!!
For next time I would recommend Figaro, News, Ticket and Gun! I think Wild is the most egregious for weird camera shots yeah. They were cursed with a terrible company but had a long partnership with my favourite kpop producers Sweetune so I love their discography!
Thank you for your reaction one of to one my ult groups from 2nd generation of kpop. Its ashamed they were very underrated during their time only to be known for their visuals more than their music. All very beautiful talented women and I miss them so much.
The 9 members, consisting of Hyuna, Lee Sem, Sera, Euaerin, Eunji, Sungah, Kyungri, Hyemi and Minha, were called the best and most perfect members by fans. During the song " Dolls - Wild - Gun - Glue " Which was a period in which the company promoted 4 songs in 1 year(2013)
9Muses were icons they were the Legendry grps in transition 2.5 gen mostly or 2 nd gen butbthey were the starting for people on stan twt to call a grp underrated
so happy seeing you react to 9muses!!! i was a huge MINE so its very melancholic (traumatic) seeing them and listening to their music nowadays but News is their best title 100%. also id really recommend checking out one of the member's solo. Kyungri - Blue Moon. she released a song for the lgbt community and vanished like the avatar... actually a crime. and yeeah getting into namyu lore is a bit much especially w/ the trauma the members dealt w/ during their predebut and debut days. sera was my bias :'). oh and fun fact, they had a few viral moments w/ Dolls due to the partner choreo!! was also just a fan favorite song the korean gp also quite liked tht song.
I love 9Muses!! In their earlier days they are getting a lot of hate, and also compared a lot to SNSD cause they are 9 members too. Obviously they are going for a very different concept. Dolls is my fav. title track! But i love all of their title track except No Playboy. 9Muses popularity wise is in the awkward situation, they are not popular enough to be called popular, but they are also not unknown enough to be categorized as nugu.
@@SirAustin YES YES do! I’d also suggest FIESTAR and Dalshabet as a top tier nugu/nugu-adjacent ggs! Maybe even throw in some Hello Venus or Rania teeheee
@SirAustin Stellar has so many amazing songs and the girls are great, but just to warn you, their company forced them do a lot of overtly sexual things that they were extremely uncomfortable with. It got to the point that one of the members held up an SOS sign during a music show. I just wanted you to be aware.
9muses is my favourite girlgroup, and I have the same opinion as you about Wild, it's one of their most popular song public wide but I think it's because of the sexy concept, cause the instrumental, especially that awful synth noise... yeah- it's not that great. But the live performances are awesome, it makes you forget about the chainsaw in the back 😂 Some suggestions if you want to react to them again: - News: probably my favourite song of them, the bridge... oh my god... out of this world top notch kpop masterpiece. - Gun: the title single of their only full album, choreo with chairs, some comeback stage performances have a vocal powerhouse intro with Sera... and the instrumental is so fun, I love it (also the entire album is great and so underrated). - Sleepless Night: slow paced sexy sad song, that's it. Also: iconic choreo. - Ticket: ticket one way... ticket one way... one way one way one way ticket~ the chorus just clings to your mind, it's so good!
My friend absolutely lovedddd 9muses they only released absolute bops sort of like AOA but their company was ass... their is a very famous documentary on them.. it was so sad to watch but they are absolutely incredible there is also an iconic video of their "Figaro" dance practice was 100% perfectly in sync
Yeah supposedly they were going to come back announced by "insiders" but it was supposed to happen last summer but never did and we havent heard anything since 😢
About time dude💜💜. First five years iconic. They would have done more if better agency, see MsBaek, three yrs ago was idols that groups ended or they were kicked out. Sera on there with eight other women. love Nine Muses!
I suggest 4minute for your throwback series! They were known as Hyuna’s group back in the day but the other members are incredibly charming and talented
Holy fucking shit a 9muses reaction in the year of our lord 2024? Hell yeah! That’s my ultimate girl group!!!! Thank you so much for your reaction, I kinda had a feeling that you’ll really like them because as you said, they have that mature voices and concepts that you usually like. They have one of the best discography imo. Not gonna lie I giggled a little when you said wild is the most dated one because it’s actually my favourite out of these four lmao. Regardless, my all time favourite song of them that I consider peak Kpop excellence is “Sleepless Night”, It’s no surprise that the song was produced by brave brothers like that man has me on a chokehold literally all my favourite songs are from him he’s so sick. Anyways, I’d definitely recommend including it on your next reaction! Thanks again, love your reactions always!
They have one of the best discographies. Miss them so much. Hurt Locker is one of my all time fav kpop songs. They unfortunately had a terrible company. They could have been so much bigger.
Hyemi is the only member from the start untill the end if im not mistaken and they were robbed so many times like how did they not have any win even with so many hitsss
Ironic that this vid ended with Glue (Sera's last era with 9mu). There is a famous live performance of Glue where you can see how happy Sera is because it was her last performance under contract. Second Gen was still the golden age and lots of songs were ahead of their time. 9 muses fits the classic theme of extremely talented but completely mismanaged and mistreated by a scum company. As many has commented if you watched their documentary (there are lots of parts during it that are hard to watch imo). No Playboy(girl) was a rejected 2pm song, for the MV/album they made the members dress in a way that made them very uncomfortable considering at the time they had minor members. Sera had a really tough time as a leader seeing the younger members crying over it.
Can you please react to Unnies just for fun? They are definitely NOT all singers, they are from the show Sister's Slam Dunk and Min Hyorin dreamt of being in an idol group so the rest of the cast (with Tiffany of SNSD) made her dream come true.
Ok so a really quick summary:
- No Playboy - Debuted as 9 (Sera, Minha, Hyemi, Euaerin, Eunji, Lee Sem, Rana, Bini and Jaekyung).
- Rana, Bini and Jaekyung left.
- Figaro - Remaining 6 with the addition of Hyuna. (total 7)
- News - Addition of Kyungri (or Gyeongree) (Total 8)
- Ticket - 8 members.
- Dolls - Addition of Sungah. (Full 9 member formation with Sungah, Sera, Hyemi, Eunji, Lee Sem, Euaerin, Minha, Hyuna and Kyungri)
- Wild - Full 9 member formation
- Gun - Full 9 member formation
- Glue - Full 9 member formation
- Sera, Eunji and Lee Sem left.
- Drama - Addition of Keumjo and Sojin. (8 member formation - Keumjo, Sojin, Hyemi, Sungah, Kyungri, Hyuna and Minha and Euaerin)
- Hurt Locker - 8 members
- Sleepless Night - 8 members
- Sungah, Minha, Euaerin and Hyuna left.
Omg that's awesome! What's the dance crew name
Iirc between no playboy and figaro, euaerin left the group and return..
Hyuna was also part of the visual line.
Bestie you have to check out their ultimate sad bop ‘Sleepless Night’
We need more old kpop reactions. There is still so much to explore! Block B, Mblaq, Stuff from B1A4, B.A.P, Big Bang, GD Solos
I definitely need more people to reack to MBlaq and B1A4
Thank you for reacting to them! anyway just my recommendation for the next 9muses reaction:
- Figaro
- News
- Ticket
- Gun
- Drama
you should check their bbc documentary to know them more (sera was kind of the main pov)
Don't forget Sleepless Night, it's iconic as well 😉
I really approve that ! He truly needs to do a second reaction video with « News » « Figaro » and « Ticket » ! Hope he sees our messages !
Gun & ticket are absolute bangeeeers
Thank you for your reaction !! 9Muses is one of my fav groups of all time ! Please for the next reaction video you definitely should watch News, Ticket and Figaro !!!
OMG A 9MUSES REACTION 😭😭😭 i think you would love their discography, they have really good music! hope u continue
Hyemi is so iconic, she's the only member who has been in 9Muses for all their comebacks and started as the maknae and finished as the leader lol
You totally need to react to Wild live! Sera adds in some crazy high notes that aren't in the studio version, and she kills it every time, even while dancing!
Also, NineMuses has one of the best discographies in all of Kpop, they were and continue to be one of the most criminally underrated groups.
Dont forget Drama. One of their best singles
kyungri is my bias, she's a queen, you would love her solo song 'blue moon'. it's a bop!
i adoreee 9muses’ music so much
Euaerin deserves more recognition. She never fails in her bars. She is always on fire 🔥🔥🔥
Edit: History of how I became a Muse in 2015.
Kinda sad that I only have Drama, Hurt Locker, and Sleepless Night promotion with the 8 ladies but it gives me joy every time one of them gets married and the wedding photo for the bride turned out to be like a group album photos ♥
They have a very special place in my Kpop lifetime.
I would recomend reacting to: News, Ticket, Gun, Drama, Sleepless night. And if you want they also have a sub unit called Nine Muses A (the last members that remained in the group): Lip 2 Lip and Remember
Hurt Locker is on my top fave gg songs of all time playlist it's so good!
That song has literally been on my favorites playlist for years and has never been taken off even though I routinely delete songs when there's over 100 just to keep things fresh
GIRL SAME 😭😭😭
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR REACTING TO 9MUSES.
SUPPORT THEM A LOT IF THEY END UP COMING BACK IN 2024, PLEASE.
I MISS 9MUSES SO MUCH 😭😭 thank u sm for the reaction 🫶
Also don’t use that list you showed in the video! Idk what that person was thinking
Their discography is one of my favs in all of kpop tbh. Dolls is top 5 fav songs. Love them so much. Awaiting your next reaction to them!
LOVE 9MUSES ❤❤❤
"Camera work is weird" 😂😂 It typical 2nd gen. 2nd Gen the generation known for silly, quirky, sexy and flirty.. and a bit extra emphasis on the sexy. This GEN of kpop was very much known for it's sexiness. This was peak "kpop is the industry that "sells sex", but doesn't have sex" LMAO!!!
Hurt locker is for me a classic almost perfect kpop song
9muses?!?1 wow, loved this. please do more 9muses songs. maybe you could check out their subunits 9Muses A? Love these old kpop reactions :)
Great summary but Sera was kicked out of the group by their CEO for unknown reasons for what I understand
@@denisexi90 Oh, it can be. I remember that was even a documentary but I thought she leaved the group, but now that you say I kinda remember that maybe she was kicked out because she was the leader and try to protect her members maybe and was against some decisions of their company. But Im not so sure
@@denisexi90 he announced it like that but we know that she (sera) asked for some authority/right about decide what they will wear or not or what concept they will create in the future when the contract renewal time came and their CEO absouletly didn't like it
one day, news about her leaving the group was suddenly published and Sera was completely silenced +threatened by the CEO, preventing her from doing anything
sera didn't even know that she was kicked out of the group until the news published
left, not leaved*
@@HectorH-M Thank you. English is my 4th language so sometimes I make some mistakes
Thank you for the reaction! You could do News, Figaro, Ticket and Gun. Figaro is my favorite because it grows so much.
They were so excited, then pushed so hard, then had such a rough relationship with their company…
And they were still a very good team of performers in spite of it all.
OH MY GOOOOOOD I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS !!!!!!!!!!!!
please do another part of throwback thursday for Girls Day!! they have many bops that you haven't check out like "I'll be yours", "female president" , "Ring my bell" , "Darling" , "Twinkle Twinkle" , "Nothing last forever".
Wild was really popular back in their days. I loved it when they cameback with this song. But is really typical from this time and probably outdated nowadays. In this time of kpop sexy concept was really popular. In this time alot of groups was known for their sexy concept: Sistar, Aoa, Nine Muses and Dalshabet (I love them too, they would also be a good group to react)
a short information:
at the beginning 9 Muses was a girl group consisting of 8 young model girls (Jaekyung, Bini, Lee Sem, Eunji, Hyemi, Euaerin and Minha) + Ssera which found by Star Empire
the aim of Star Empire was to train these attractive, tall and beautiful girlies and marketing them as a "unique girl group that includes model (sexy and beautiful girls) - singers" to the media and make a great rival for Girls Generation (every agency's dream girl group) but the things didn't work out the way CEO's wanted because the career plan etc. he drew for the girls and the way the girls were treated were completely wrong
their debut song"No Playboy"known as the worst debut in the industry, was seen as a complete fail because the concept drawn was completely wrong for girls of that age and although there were many talented ones among them, some of them were just"models", as so-called
due to the fact that No Playboy didn't provide the expectisement that both the CEO and the girls wanted and the mental and physical violence that the CEO inflicted on the girls behind the scenes, members Jaekyung and Bini left the group to never to return to the group again while Lee Sem or Euaerin (i don't remember exactly) left the group and in a short time, returned to the group
and then those 2 members were replaced by Hyuna, Kyungri (Gyeongree) and Sungah over time, but member departures and additions happened a lot throughout 9Muses' career because the girls never got what they deserved and their rights have been defeated a lot (for example Ssera kicked out of the group by the CEO's itself because she wanted some changes on their contract rules as like"they will be able to decide on what they wears and the concepts they'll create"then CEO didn't like it and threatened her as like"i can broke your legs"🤓
i highly recommend watching the 9Muses documentary and some videos about their mistreatment as like:
ua-cam.com/video/Gx5wkAtqBwU/v-deo.htmlsi=XXmHGvVOuvbWD8Pp
You really should check out:
-Figaro
-News
-Sleepless Night
-Gun
-Love City
The most iconic ones except the ones u alrdy heard imo. :D
Didn't expect a 9MUSES reaction in 2024, but I'm not complaining. 👍
They are one of the representative of sexy KPOP in the second generation.
My favorites from them are the title track Figaro and the bsides Whatever & Action. Maybe something for next time?
They were in talk for a comeback last year, but I didn't know what happend to that.
Next Throwback: Wonder Girls or KARA
I was waiting for this so bad, 9muses is my fav group ever, thanks for reacting to them, all their songs are masterpieces, the ones that I recommend are:
Who R U (bside)
Love city
Gun
Drama
Ticket
Fígaro
News
Yay! I've always known you would like them. Their music was always so good and it really frustrated me that they were never taken seriously and they ended up disbanding without a single music show win. But I think a lot of that was because the company focused way more on their sex appeal than their talents.
The other songs I would recommend most are; Sleepless Night, News, Ticket and 기억해(Remember) - not to be confused with their disbandment song Remember which is a ballad XD
For a future throwback thursday, I think you would also like Laboum~
9muses deserved so much more love. wild is defs still one of my fav kpop songs and glue defs grew on me over time for some reason because that song slaps so hard
OMG FINALLLLY. Years ago, I used to tell everyone to react to their dance practice of Figaro. Its SO SATISFYING. I really hope you check it out.
Edit: I went back and checked it out again lol. 12 years later, Figaro dance practice still gives me goosebumps. Synchronisation Queeens
U need to check it out
Drama, Sleepless Night, Ticket, Gun and News ❤
When I first started getting into Kpop, I watched a documentary on this group called "The 9 muses of Star Empire", which is on youtube. It was very eye opening, and now Sera is one of my favorite youtubers.
Please check out Sleepless Night and Ticket by 9Muses
The rap line you see here actually consists of 2 members who were originally sub-vocalist during their debut. Leesem (6:48) was originally the rapper, then they moved Euaerin (22:24) to the rap position and stayed with 2 rappers. Later, starting from "Dolls" era, Lee Sem said she didn't like rapping and wanted to be a vocalist, so they switched her with Eunji (23:57).
WAITING FOR THISSSSS LOVE THEM SM AND ALSO THEY ARE LAST CHORUS KEY CHANGE PIONEERS THANKS TO THEIR PRODUCER SWEETUNE
Their vibes just always worked for me!!
aahh i love 9muses!! you should check out their documentary here on yt
Check out Gun, Drama and Ticket!
oh, News live stage and Wild!!! 💜
For next time I would recommend Figaro, News, Ticket and Gun! I think Wild is the most egregious for weird camera shots yeah. They were cursed with a terrible company but had a long partnership with my favourite kpop producers Sweetune so I love their discography!
I hope gets everything she deserves because she's more than earned it
OMG a 9muses reaction!?
THIS IS THE BEST THING EVER OMG NEED MORE OF NINE MUSES
Omgggg nine muses!!! I love them so freaking much, if they were still together i would probabky have them as my ult girl group
Namyu served banger after banger and never got a win, truly a travesty
so happy seeing you react to 9muses!!! i was a huge MINE so its very melancholic (traumatic) seeing them and listening to their music nowadays but News is their best title 100%. also id really recommend checking out one of the member's solo.
You should react to their song DRAMA, I feel in love with them starting from that song !
I'd have made the holy trinity AOA, Stellar and Nine Muses.
But I respect putting Sistar in there.
Oooh! I haven't heard Stellar before! Soundsl ike something I should check out for another throwback video!
@@SirAustin Sting is an all time banger... and you're not ready for the MV from Vibrato
But the live performances are awesome, it makes you forget about the chainsaw in the back 😂
Some suggestions if you want to react to them again:
- News: probably my favourite song of them, the bridge... oh my god... out of this world top notch kpop masterpiece.
Yeah supposedly they were going to come back announced by "insiders" but it was supposed to happen last summer but never did and we havent heard anything since 😢
Please bikin reaction laboum ❤❤❤ lagunya bagus² kalo nggak weki meki ❤❤❤
About time dude💜💜. First five years iconic. They would have done more if better agency, see MsBaek, three yrs ago was idols that groups ended or they were kicked out. Sera on there with eight other women. love Nine Muses!
Drama, Gun and Remember should be next!
I suggest 4minute for your throwback series! They were known as Hyuna’s group back in the day but the other members are incredibly charming and talented
No PlayBoy, Figaro, News, Ticket, Dolls, Wild, Gun y Glue.
Drama, Hurt Locker, Sleepless Night, Love City y Remember.

i need more 9muses reaction
"I'm assuming there's nine members" uhm, well... about that...
Yesssss react to more 9muses
Nine Muses 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Part 2 pleek!!
That list at the end is hating on 'Drama' for no good reason, it's a banger
queens
LETS GOOOOOOOOO MY FAVORITE HAGSSS
Yas the Muses !
Part 2 pls pls pls
They have one of the best discographies. Miss them so much. Hurt Locker is one of my all time fav kpop songs. They unfortunately had a terrible company. They could have been so much bigger.
React to dal shabet plis ❤
Hyemi is the only member from the start untill the end if im not mistaken and they were robbed so many times like how did they not have any win even with so many hitsss
PLEASE REACTION RAINBOW. 🌈
Wild and the infamous sera's pervert t-shirt..
😅😅
YES YES YEEEEEEEEEEES POR LA PTMRE
YAAAAAAAAAAAÀAAAAAAAAAAAAS
Can you please react to Unnies just for fun? They are definitely NOT all singers, they are from the show Sister's Slam Dunk and Min Hyorin dreamt of being in an idol group so the rest of the cast (with Tiffany of SNSD) made her dream come true.
My favorite is
Glue,
