@@DaneBramageROCKS Merry Christmas & welcome to Geoff's world of Dragons. Thank you for an awesome reaction to Geoff Castellucci. Geoff is the low bass singer in the group Voice Play. They are known as The Theater Kids of a capella. Please do a reaction video to Voice Plays cover of Halo, the theme song from the Halo video game. The composer of the music was totally blown away by it. Please wait till the credits stop rolling before you end the video.
@marshayoung9387 oh Halo! That will be awesome. I'll take a look, thank you. And yes, I typically go all the way to the end of the video. Merry Christmas ⛄🎁
Never gets old… first time reaction to Geoff…. You should his solo work… I see fire…. And Voiceplay … Oogie boogie song, nothing else matters, valhala calling, dream on, seven nation army….. love all
They do say that if you make the dishes rattle when you sing, you're a bass. If you sound like a Viking war horn, you're Geoff Castelluci 😂. Welcome to the rabbit hole of the amazing talent of Geoff and check out Voiceplay, the also amazing group that he belongs to.
welcome to the world of Geoff Castellucci! he and his group VoicePlay are definitely worth diving into! as a great first time intro for VoicePlay, I suggest Hoist the Colours, Thriller or Dragonborn Comes. as for Geoff's solo work, anything that catches your attention is great. but if you want a good idea of what Geoff's range truly is, his I See Fire displays that quite well with each Geoff "clone" getting solo parts in different voice types.
"I bet he does Viking music..." WOO! Does he ever. Start with 'My Mother Told Me' and then 'Valhalla Calling.' Geoff and Voiceplay are the Xmas gifts that keep on giving.
Geoff is one of the most notable bass singers out there. He has, to an extent, mastered the extended vocal technique known as subharmonics. (He has tutorials on his channel.) But, as folks have mentioned, it's his full range that is most impressive. The fact that he can sing as low as an F1 (see VoicePlay's cover of Whiskey in the Jar) in full chest in mind blowing. But so is the fact that he can do rock belts in high tenor just leaves folks speechless (see VoicePlay's Oogie Boogie Song cover or Geoff's solo cover of Jack's Lament). Not to mention, as highlighted in this track, his arranging skills are *chef's kiss* . (*waits patiently for when you discover the tracks where he writes in original bridges and such seamlessly into the song*) Enjoy your journey with Geoff and VoicePlay. You will NOT be disappointed.
Thank you so much and yes, this guy is an incredible talent and I am stoked for this journey. I know I am only scratching the surface and will continue to be blown away. This is going to be awesome. Thank you for watching, more to come.
If you think he's good at Christmas, you should see him at Halloween. Or, you know, any time really- Geoff is an absolute genius, although (relatively) not terribly well known due to being a 100% independent artist. He did the arrangement, performance, filmed and edited the video (with his wife, Kathy); he more or less does everything except for the makeup and final mix. Sometimes he get some help from his VoicePlay pals, Layne Stein (who owns a video production studio) and Eli Jacobson (who does some fantastic lighting design), but check out the credits on each video because he breaks it all down there. Definitely subscribing- it's always great to see someone who recognizes a really great artist right out of the gate. Geoff- and VoicePlay- put out nothing but high quality work that is also extremely creative. If you're just a listener, you will always be surprised. If you have a musical background, you will not only be surprised but fascinated, as there are always loads of intriguing aspects of their arrangements. You're going to have so much fun on this journey, believe me.
Yeah, I have a handful of Halloween songs saved from him and Voiceplay. I am more than likely going to dive in and keep his songs regularly so I can get somewhat caught up. I am so excited for this journey! Thank you so much and welcome to the channel
UA-cam recommended you to me because of Geoff. Geoff's range is just amazing. That alone is worth becoming a fan. But I think what really makes him stand out, what really makes Voiceplay stand out, is that you can't find a bad video. They are all incredibly talented, but they also do the work. In Carol of the Bells, Geoff did all the arranging, all the singing obviously, but he played all the music, the editing, and with his wife does all the set up, the filming, etc. And Voiceplay is not dissimilar, they bring in more help for some things (camera work, make up), but they do the work themselves. And with all that, Geoff and the guys put put polished work that's always a pleasure to watch. Welcome to one of the most fun rabbit holes with so much to explore!
Yes, this is one journey I am truly looking forward to. I keep watching this over and over and can not wait to see what else he can do. It is also amazing to know that he puts all this together. This is going to be fun. Cheers, more to come.
The way Geoff can really sing in all those registers blows my mind. Many singers can hit low notes, but most can't hold them, and/or sound really bad. Geoff's voice is like a warm embrace that I never want to end. You're definitely in for a joy ride with Geoff and VoicePlay! Subscribing and looking forward to many more Geoff & VP!
Thank you so much and welcome to the channel. Yeah it blows my mind as well and I can't tell you how excited I am for this. It's going to be an amazing year.
Geoff has a 5 octave voice range, plays several instruments arranges music for himself and voiceplayand uses subharmonics. It is fitting that he ended this arrangement with the tolling of a bell.
As a Voiceplay/Geoff Castellucci fan there's a special delight I get watching reactors first experience them. Merry Christmas and I hope to see you experience more of their songs.
Great reaction. I love watching Geoff first-timers. It never gets old! Welcome to the Geoff/Voiceplay rabbit hole! Strap in and buckle up, because not only is it one hell of a ride, but you're about to get hit with the monsoon of like/follow/subscribe that goes wherever Geoff and Voiceplay lay their golden touch on a channel. This is gonna be fun, that much I can promise you.
Congrats, the you just stumbled across voiceplay and geoff. get ready to have your comments section drowned in fans of them on every video of theirs you do because we can't help ourselves, we seek out reactions to these guys like a moth seeking light.
LOL, Drown is right!! I have never had so much trouble keeping up with the comments! Love it, though; the support for Geoff and the VP is incredible, and I learned so much. Here for it all. To be continued......
Merry Christmas Dane. 🎄 Geoff is the bass singer for the acapella group VoicePlay. Geoff's wife ,Kathy, is the production manager for his solo stuff, and VoicePlay. Geoff and beatboxer Layne Stein, take turns on the VoicePlay arrangements. He has like a 5+ octave range. Love the screen shakes when he hit the super lows. Geoff and VoicePlay both love Halloween and Christmas. This year VP dropped their version of "Zat U Santa Claus" (Louis Armstrong). VP's cover of "Oogie Boogie Song" (The Nightmare Before Christmas) feat Geoff on lead and shows off his range. Yes, check out Geoff's version of "16 Tons", and suggest VP's cover of Aerosmith's "Dream On" Also, you and Jesse dropped your reactions to this song, at the same time. LOL
Yeah I saw Jesse premier his! I laughed but, great minds eh?! So yes, I'm so stoked for this journey. I literally about every single song of his saved. This is gonna be fun. Merry Christmas ⛄🎁
@@DaneBramageROCKS When you react to Geoff's "Sixteen Tons" know that it is his only solo channel tune that is in full chest voice (no subharmonics in that one). He has a three octave range in full chest voice. Geoff is quite wonderful. Glad that you have found him (and, hopefully, VoicePlay).
Thank you, Dane, for such a lovely first reaction to hearing Geoff Castellucci. You're right-- he doesn't put out bad videos. You can look up whatever strikes your fancy on his channel or for his a cappella group VoicePlay and have a wonderful listening experience. As you noticed, Geoff's channel is recent, only coming into being during the covid lockdown of 2020, but VoicePlay videos go back 12 years. There's some change in the band personnel, but Geoff, Layne Stein (vocal percussion) and Eli (tenor) are constant members. I hope you enjoy your Geoff & VoicePlay journey. Happy holidays!
Oh I'm so excited for this journey. Such an amazing discovery and hearing all about him just continues to build on that excitement. Thank you so much for watching. Merry Christmas ⛄ 🎁
@@DaneBramageROCKS While the name 'VoicePlay' only goes back 12 years, the group that eventually became VoicePlay actually began back in '97, right out of high school. And while there have been some personnel changes, there have also been a couple of band name changes along the way. But VoicePlay is the name they're known as now, and they're an amazing group of musicians and people.
Geoff had two songs hit 10 MILLION views in the same week-Misty Mountains and 16 Tons. There aren’t enough adjectives to describe Geoff. Check out his band VoicePlay for more ear candy. They have two songs being considered for three Grammy nominations: Hellfire and The Way You Make Me Feel. They were also contracted by the makers of the video game Warframe to reimagine Party Of Your Lifetime for this December’s upgrade. All are on UA-cam and you don’t have to worry about copyrights with them since they’re independent. Welcome to the rabbit hole!!
Sadly, VoicePlay was considered but didn't receive any nominations for the February 2025 Grammy awards but they had said that they really didn't expect to. Nominations were announced in early November. Other artists nominated them but apparently it is really hard for 100% independent groups as they are to receive nominations. (Other members of the Academy had submitted two of VoicePlay's tunes for consideration.)
Yeah since doing this I have learned a good deal about Geoff and Voiceplay. I'm so excited for this journey I am about to embark on. Have a lot to see and hear. Cheers, more to come.
@@DaneBramageROCKS We'll be here for it. The great thing is, there aren't any disappointments on either channel. Just choose what appeals to you. (The production values on their newer stuff since the pandemic shutdown when they turned most of their attention to UA-cam is next level as they have more time and resources now. Geoff's range has continued to expand as he ages too. Things he says about his vocal range years ago is no longer up-to-date.)
Yes, you came up on my UA-cam feed because of Geoff. I highly suggest a tour around his rabbit hole. It’s cozy in here. I’m also a patreon (at a low level) and I can tell you the chats and Behind the Scenes are worth more than I pay. Unfortunately I’m on a limited budget or I would give more. He’s phenomenal. BTW - while it seems amazing that he sings all those part, he has gone higher AND lower than this. Additionally he is also the arranger and does all the accompaniment (although the instruments are plugins with his piano keyboard) For the Viking and pirate and more, I suggest checking the acapella group he’s in (VoicePlay). We call them The Theater Kids of Acapella for a reason. They also do some awesome Rock covers that will surprise you.
AWESOME. Thanks for watching. I fully plan on diving in, I am fascinated and excit3ed to see more of his sonfs and VoicePlay. The support and enthusiasm from everyone has been amazing. Thanks again, more to come.
You are going to love the solo stuff and the voiceplay stuff. They’ve always been good but the last handful of years they have elevated themselves way beyond. Dig in you’ll find plenty to love.
You literally took the words out of my mouth. In fact, in my next one, I was gonna call him an alien cause he is out of this world. Thank you for watching. Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas and thanks for your reaction! Yes, Geoff has an amazing 5 octave voice range and can hit some insane low notes. His arrangements are beautiful as well. This is the epic Christmas song on the internet right now with over a million views already since it was released two weeks ago. You will definitely want to check out more of Geoff's solo channel as well as his acapella group, Voice Play (Voice Play has a Viking style cover of "Valhalla Calling" that will blow you away!
Merry Christmas ⛄🎁 and thank you for watching. This was an amazing discovery and I'm stoked to see all the things. Got a ton of his songs lined up and ready to go. More to come.
Geoff used to tour pretty continuously with VoicePlay, but when everything shut down during the epidemic, he opened this personal channel. Now, with three of the VP members having very young children at home, they've decided to make touring an occasional thing. He drops a full length performance monthly, and often a short or two. Yep, I'm here because of the feed from Geoff. As for VoicePlay, I started as a huge fan of theirs, and expanded to Geoff's channel. The through line for each and every member is superlative musicianship, a strong work ethic, a sense of humor and attention to detail. It shows, they are outrageously good. Geoff and Layne (the other founder, and currently their beatboxer) split most of the projects. Who ever takes a project is responsible for arranging, rough vocal edit, video and full video edit. Obviously they switch around from time to time and work on each others' projects. Eli, the high tenor (known for his rock voice) also sometimes takes a turn and does arrangements. Liked and subscribed, and am hoping for more from Geoff and also from VoicePlay.
Thank you so much and welcome to the channel. I promise there will be more from both Geoff and voiceplay. I'm fascinated by all of this and am excited for the journey. Cheers, more to come.
Don't have to threaten me with a good time 😂. I'm so excited for this, definitely the best discovery and 2025 is gonna be fun! Merry Christmas ⛄ Thanks for watching
Just subscribed in anticipation of more Geoff (and possibly Voiceplay), but not only. I loved your attitude while watching and reacting, and really enjoyed your reactions while the expression on your face was telling the whole story without words 🙂. I'll leave to others the informative stuff about Geoff, for once. See you next time! 🙂
@@DaneBramageROCKS You'll discover that Geoff has many facets, and one I appreciate a LOT is his sense of humour. He takes what he does very seriously, but doesn't take himself as seriously, and the results are videos where you can discover a touch of humour in unexpected places. It's more evident in his Halloween productions (and Christmas... Watch Elvis' "Blue Christmas" cover as an example 😁😅, or "Mele Kalikimaka"), but you'll find it in many places, sometimes more evident, sometimes more subtle. I love it. 🙂 Ditto for Voiceplay, if not even MORE 😅.
@@DavideBaroni Cool thing is, I already have a good list of Christmas and Halloween songs ready for next year!! I can't wait!! But.....they will probably release more so.....LOL
@@DaneBramageROCKS Yup, both Geoff and Voiceplay release one video each for Halloween (and another one for Christmas), and there's always high expectation for them. But they always raise the bar and outdo their previous one 😁. Voiceplay are very theatrical, to the point that they're nicknamed "the theatre kids of a cappella", and it's a well deserved nickname 🙂. They're also VERY versatile and cover pretty much every genre you can think of... Try "Nothing else matters" (Metallica a cappella 😱) for a starter 🙂. And as you'll see, Geoff has this theatrical aspect as well. Watch his "Tolkien Trilogy" for example ("Far over the Misty Mountains cold", "I see fire" and "Song of Durin", in chronological order). Always keep in mind that all characters and all voices are him. 😅 I'm in for the ride, can't have enough of either of them 😅 See you next time!
YT algorithm finally decided to lead me here thanks to your reaction to Geoff. Looking forward to many more Geoff/VoicePlay reactions - love your style.
Geoff turned the Carol of the Bells into a version you have never heard before. Just epic. For your info, Geoff's range is 5 octaves + 1/2 step. He is also a masterful arranger. His top tier gets spoken of, then the next tier, and the rest of us keeps his videos to an easily tended amount of time. He has an incredible group of videos he started during Covid pandemic when touring wasn't possible and VoicePlay, the acapella group that Geoff and Layne had started back in high school. The other 2 original members (Earl and Mykal) formed the basics until graduation when they added a 5th member (Scott) in 1997. A few years in and Mykal went to Broadway and Scott for an acting career (right now - Friday Night Lights). Both have come back a couple of times to join in the videos. Earl left for personal reasons about 2020. Eli is the Rock God who joined in 2010, Tony Wakim was the baritone but wanted to get into production so Tony and Layne bought a studio about 8 yrs ago, with Tony as the manager and Layne helping as necessary. Most of Geoff's solos and VoicePlay's videos are done in Pattycake Productions studio. They do everything themselves, no music labels, from arrangements (Geoff, Layne, and now Eli), staging, costuming, camera (usually one of the cameramen in Pattycake), lighting and CGI - green screens are Eli, extreme makeup, prosthetics are a friend of theirs, premix audio and video by whichever is doing the project, final mix by Ed Boyer. Voiceplay is acapella (except for 3 times over the last 25 yrs or so when he added a violin, becoming VioLayne in Warriors (Imagine Dragons), Nothing Else Matters (Metallica), and the Lion Sleeps Tonight ( Disney). Some of Geoff's solos - Far Over the Misty Mountains Cold, and I See Fire (both from the Hobbit), Song of Durin (Lord of the Rings), Folsom Prison Blues, Unshaken, Ghost Riders in the Sky). ViocePlay has Valhalla Calling, My Mother Told Me, Dragonborn Come Skyrim, I Can't Make You Love Me, Classical Chaos, Drunken Sailor, Hoist the Colors and way more. Welcome to the rabbit hole. By the way, Geoff's wife is production manager of both Geoff's and VoicePlay.
😳 uh ok! I got this 😂 holy heck that is a ton of background information. Thank you so much. I also appreciate you watching this and sending all of this. I'll probably forget most but, at least now I have a reference. To be continued.....
Having someone discover Geoff is like being given a special present. It reminds us of how it felt for our first time experiencing his genius. Welcome to the Geoff family. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Merry Christmas! It's always fun to see people hear Geoff for the first time. He's like no other singer out there. The man has more than 5 octaves! You want Viking stuff? VoicePlay has done 'My Mother Told told Me' and 'Valhalla Calling'. They will both blow your holiday socks off. The longstanding joke is, if you can make the windows rattle, you're a base. If your friends ask you to stand in for a Viking warhorn, you're Geoff Castellucci. Lol.
Merry Christmas. Thank you for watching and yes, this was fun and I am learning a ton. Lol, that is a good joke. He is incredible and I am beyond excited for this journey.
EPIC performance! Geoff started his own channel as a side project to his full-time work with the group Voiceplay. Now, with over 800K subscribers, he works tirelessly to indulge our need for those deep low notes. Geoff plays the piano and harmonica. Along with his clones he is "the one man band."
Big fan I'm new glad to Meet you voice play accapella group and Geoff castelluchi are the best and they get better every time I rec Valhalla calling, it's a Viking song
Yep, here because of the algorithm feeding me new Geoff reactions. You won't be disappointed with any of Geoff's or VoicePlay's works. I usually recommend In the Air Tonight as a first VoicePlay listen, but you can't go wrong with either viking song (My Mother Told Me and Valhalla Calling) or the pirate songs (Hoist the Colors and Drunken Sailor). VP covers so many genres, there is something for everyone. Based on the channel name, I am going to guess you like rock, so i wluld throw in a recommendation for Nothing Else Matters as well.
Hi there. Welcome to the channel. Yeah I am learning a ton and it just fuels the fire to see more. I'm so excited for this journey and have a ton to go off. This is gonna be fun..
Oh, it took zero time for me to know I was going to follow Geoff from here on out. VP will also be introduced VERY soon! Thank you so much for watching; welcome to the channel. To be continued.......
Subbed for more Geoff and vp! You will be happy no matter what style you like because they do it all.One thing you'll love is they are independent so they do it all themselves. Arranging. Video. Lighting. Mixing. They sub out final mix and makeup when it's elaborate. So much talent
Yeah I think that really puts the cherry on top, the fact that they do this all internally. Kinda puts that extra special element to it. Love it. Here for it all.
I stumbled upon your channel because I follow Geoff and Voiceplay. Nice reaction. When you listen to Geoff and Voiceplay be sure to notice EVERYTHING in the production. Lots of things going on. They are very talented and self produced, arranged, etc .
yup, I found myself here while watching videos of people reacting to Geoff's music for the first time. I am subscribed to his channel, voice play, and a few other A Capella groups. I love A Capella, what can I say.
Voiceplay's cover of Metallica's "Nothing else matters" it's absolutely amazing considering voiceplay is an Acpella group 👍 Merry Christmas to you and yours!
Thanks for emphasizing support of Geoff (and presumably other artists) so much. I'm sure other commenters have pointed you toward VoicePlay's viking stuff. Among his solo performances, I'd like to mention "Blackbird", which is absolutely beautiful and IMO doesn't get enough attention among his fans. Happy new year!
Always great to see someone react to Geoff for the first time! He is the bass singer of VoicePlay. They are so theatrical! Subscribed in the hope to see more ;) Merry Christmas! Geoff is a wonderful artist and an amazing person. The whole group of VoicePlay is. Welcome to the rabbithole that is Geoff and VoicePlay. We are quite comfortable and snug here ^-^
Hi there and welcome to the channel. Yeah since doing this I have learned more than I ever thought I would and I Iove it. I promise, there will be more!
So much fun watching new reactors to Geoff / Voiceplay 🤣🤣. This expression of disbelief is just wonderful. Welcome to the rabbithole. The others have already mentioned everything you need to know for the beginning. I am pretty sure you will dive into both rabbitholes and everyone is highly welcomed. Whatever song you may pick is great cause you can't go wrong. And be sure that the Geoff/Voiceplayer community will guide you when needed. Btw he didn't want to do this tune, but his "Boss" (his wonderful wife Kathy) said he should do it. So happy he did this one. By now he hitted the 1M views and that is so great and well deserved.
Yeah this was so much fun and I'm also glad his "Boss" made him do this! So far the reply has been wonderful. So much great information and recommendations and I'm here for it all. This is gonna be a fun journey.
I think this is the first time I've seen one of your videos, Dane and it's definitely the first time I've heard of Geoff. I was especially interested when your video came up because I used to be part of a choir a few years ago and this is one of the songs we sang in one of the Christmas shows I took part in - doesn't Geoff have an amazing voice? I really felt that deep bass in my chest! Thank you for this video and introducing Geoff to us that hadn't already heard of him, merry Christmas to you.
Hey Jean! Hope you enjoy discovering Geoff's channel. There's a LOT of great songs on it. I also suggest heading over to the VoicePlay channel. That's the acapella group Geoff sings Bass in. Although truly all of the members kind of refuse to 'stay in their lane'. So you will get some surprises. Lots of genre variety, too!
Oh wow! Made two discovered in one day, well that's fun. Hope you stick around and we can make more discoveries and jump down this rabbit hole. Gonna be fun. More to come.
“This is shenanigans” has to be my favorite response to hearing Geoff’s lows and highs in contrast. Thanks for the reaction, and I hope you get to check out more of him and his wonderful band VoicePlay!
Merry Christmas.😊 You have discovered my favorite singer. I hope you take a ride down the Rabbit Hole. Geoff is amazing and his group VoicePlay are wonderful too. I hope you decide to stay and play in their incredibly creative world 😊
Here because of Geoff and VoicePlay! Great reaction! In addition to being amazing performers and just all-around awesome human beings, Geoff and his colleagues are reactor-friendly, and though they may make copyright claims they will not issue strikes or takedown notices; if their distributors are being buttheads and giving you any issues, other reactors have consistently said the guys are prompt and courteous in helping get things straightened out. It's getting hard these days to make recommendations--they've just got too much superb music to love, ranging from hard rock to Disney tunes and from slapstick to heartbreaking. Pick anything in either channel that catches your eye and I promise you will not be disappointed. Liked and subscribed, looking forward to more!
Sweet, thanks for watching, and welcome to the channel. I am very excited about this journey, and there is nothing to worry about, I have a great list to check out next, and this will carry on. More to come!
Welcome to Geoff!!! He is astonishingly great...he did ALL of this: the vocals (duh), the instrumentals, arrangement, producing, filming, and videography (I don't know the difference between the two!) To say he's a creative genius is to vastly understate the matter. Most other basses are to Geoff Castellucci as a molehill is to a mountain range. In fact another reactor compared his range to a mountain range...it's just that big and impressive! I am so in love with this rendition of this song, it's better than any I've ever heard (and far better than any I've performed myself with various groups!) Oooh! I'm so excited for you to jump down the rabbit hole with us and discover all the goodness that is Geoff and VoicePlay! You are without a doubt one of the most likable reactors out there! You also look like my cousin!🥰
Yeah, I am hearing a ton about his talent and the work he puts into these. Some of my favorite artists to follow, which I react to on this channel, are all UA-cam artists; most have the same story. I am here for it all, and Geoff and VP will be continuous. I am so excited to jump in. Thanks so much for the compliments as well; I do have genuine reactions, and I do this for them. [Your cousin must be one good-looking dude! LOL] More to come.

Welcome to the Geoff Castellucci/Voiceplay (the accapella group he is part of) rabbit hole! You are a great reactor. Really enjoyed your face to his notes. He has a 5 octave range (b0 to an a5#).
Love me some Geoff Castellucci and Voiceplay. Wait til you hear him BELT those high tones, in Hellfire, If I Were a Rich Man, Jack's Lament, Oogie Boogie. Generally if he belts high tones and then drops immediately to lowest tones, the arrangement has been done by Layne Stein (the main beatboxer for Voiceplay). Geoff likes to say Layne hates him. haha The two have been friends for a long time. They are original members of the group, and have been singing together since like junior high school.
Ooh, I spotted that LOTR tattoo!! Did you know Geoff does loads of stuff from The Hobbit?! You probably see that later in the video, but I couldn't wait to tell you!
For a first time experience with the dragon himself, you couldn't have picked a better one. All his stuff is amazing, this one is just a step more. Explore all his stuff along with Voice play.
Voiceplay has been around with name changes since 1997. They toured extensively pre-Covid. In fact, they were on one of the cruise ships that had to stay off shore for a couple of weeks before they were allowed to come in. When the world shut down, they put all of their energy into their UA-cam production. Previously, they had been using UA-cam as advertising for their live shows. Geoff had a little spare time so started singing on his own channel. Check the description, you will find that he performs, arranges, produces, and edits his own work and about half of Voiceplay's. Subscribed in anticipation of more Geoff and Voiceplay.
I have learned so much about Geoff and Voiceplay since the release of this reaction. Fantastic support and I am so excited to dive in and see more! The back story alone and the fact they he and they do all their own arrangements is just incredible!! Thanks for watching, to be continued......

as for Geoff's solo work, anything that catches your attention is great. but if you want a good idea of what Geoff's range truly is, his I See Fire displays that quite well with each Geoff "clone" getting solo parts in different voice types.
#1 Rule for all new Geoff/VP fans: Always listen to Huldra! 😁
Yeah It seems I have a lot to get to!!
Thank you. Yes, I am so excited for this journey and all that comes with it. Thank you so much, more to come.
Geoff has a full five octave range and he uses it masterfully.
Incredible! Love it.
"I bet he does Viking music..."
WOO! Does he ever. Start with 'My Mother Told Me' and then 'Valhalla Calling.' Geoff and Voiceplay are the Xmas gifts that keep on giving.
@@AuntieSingeA 💯 Came here to say the same!
He can also do Dragon
And LOTR. 'Misty Mountains Cold,' 'I See Fire' and 'Song of Durin.'
Lol. Yup. Figured he would and stoked for this. Thank you so much
All here for LOTR. Check out the Tat on my wrist.
(*waits patiently for when you discover the tracks where he writes in original bridges and such seamlessly into the song*)
Enjoy your journey with Geoff and VoicePlay.
I thought that was awesome!! Love it all, more to come.
As a Voiceplay/Geoff Castellucci fan there's a special delight I get watching reactors first experience them. Merry Christmas and I hope to see you experience more of their songs.
Wasn't that fun!! I promise, there will be more.
Thank you and this was a blast! The support has been fantastic and I have a great way ahead now! I love it. Thank you again and more to come.
Geoff is the bass singer for the acapella group VoicePlay.
Yes, check out Geoff's version of "16 Tons", and suggest VP's cover of Aerosmith's "Dream On"
Also, you and Jesse dropped your reactions to this song, at the same time.
@@vdoyne OK awesome! Thank you. I am stoked I found him!
@@vdoyne Yeah I have a great list built up. This is going to be AWESOME!
One of my favorite things in the world is watching someone see Geoff for the first time. Geoffquakes must be experienced!
This was also one of my favorite experiences! Thanks for watching.
Additionally he is also the arranger and does all the accompaniment (although the instruments are plugins with his piano keyboard)
For the Viking and pirate and more, I suggest checking the acapella group he’s in (VoicePlay). We call them The Theater Kids of Acapella for a reason. They also do some awesome Rock covers that will surprise you.
Forgot to mention, he does have a video on how to sing subharmonics. In case you’re really interested in learning yourself.
I saw that!! spiked my curiosity.
And that I have. I am so excited for all of this!! More to come.
Big fan of Geoff and VoicePlay. Thanks for the reaction
And now I am too. Merry Christmas ⛄🎁
Geoff has a 5-octave range and is constantly working on improving his ability to blow us away. He's an alien, I tell you.
Nice reaction!!
Congratulations on discovering Geoff Castellucci! You have many hours of amazing musical experiences ahead of you!
Anticipate more then because it will happen! Thank you so much for watching and the comments, I'm so excited for this journey!
I love it. 🙂
Ditto for Voiceplay, if not even MORE 😅.
I'm in for the ride, can't have enough of either of them 😅
See you next time!
YT algorithm finally decided to lead me here thanks to your reaction to Geoff. Looking forward to many more Geoff/VoicePlay reactions - love your style.
That is great to hear. Glad you found it and thanks so much for watching. More to come.

@@hwyla4416 Oh I subbed to Voiceplay. I'm stoked for all of this.

Thank you, Merry Christmas. Yeah this was indeed a special present and so stoked to have made this discovery. This will continue.
I have heard and am so excited to be a part of this journey!! I'm pretty excited. More to come.

What a stud! Love it. Thank you so much
Yep, here because of the algorithm feeding me new Geoff reactions.

Awesome. Yeah I am excited for Halloween already because those are going to be specials during that season!! LOVE THIS!!
Ooh, I spotted that LOTR tattoo!! Did you know Geoff does loads of stuff from The Hobbit?! You probably see that later in the video, but I couldn't wait to tell you!
Oh you bet!! I learned about their LOTR covers and I am stoked to get to those as well. This is gonna be fun.
Woot! Another new fan 😊! Subbed for more Geoff and Voiceplay!! TYSM for the great reaction!!
Sweet! Welcome to the channel. Stoked to be part of this fan club. More to come.
I’ll always be here for Geoff and VoicePlay! 😅❤
As will I. More to come.
For a first time experience with the dragon himself, you couldn't have picked a better one. All his stuff is amazing, this one is just a step more. Explore all his stuff along with Voice play.
I am going to explore all of it. I can't wait.
Thanks for watching, to be continued......

wonderful to see another Geoff fan join us 🥳
InstaFan. I'm stoked for this
Yes, if you want to hear him do Viking things, check out VoicePlay's acapella cover of Valhalla Calling. Geoff sings bass in that one, and it is definitely very Viking themed.
Although Halloween is their superpower.
Yes, most requested song and I am doing that one next!! I'm so excited.
What range of his voice🫶
@@maya276 IIRC his range at the moment is from A0(not sure)/B0 up to C/D5. He is more or less constantly expanding...
@EnsembleStantePede thanks
Great reaction! It's always fun watching the faces of folks hearing Geoff for the first time.
Check out VoicepPlay's covers of Valhalla Calling Me and Metallica's Nothing Else Matters. Those two will blow your mind. 😁
Thank you so much and welcome to the channel. I have a bunch saved and I'm excited to hear them all. This is going to be an amazing journey. Cheers, more to come.
The “are you kidding” accompanied by the folding of arms is a completely normal reaction to this guy. 😂 I’m glad you found him. Thanks for your reaction.
