One of the best sound combinations is the Apexi mid pipe (resonated, this is key) with the GTHAUS axleback. It gives it a really nice deep old school tone and kills the exotic rasp because of the H pipe configuration.
@@Hyper_Boost Haha, I'm in the same boat. While I do love my custom Borla setup, there's always someone who discovers something cool by accident. I would only recommend exploring the GTHAUS route if you find yourself wanting more sound in the future because it is very loud.
Sounds awesome and definitely makes my decision easier to go with non-resonated. Already have my swift springs and wheel spacers in for mine. Keep the content coming!
I had a local hot rod exhaust guy do a custom midpipe for mine. It sounds very similar to yours. It's hardly different at low rpm, but at full throttle, it's at least twice as loud and has a great rumble.
Sounds amazing! I ordered the catalytic converter gasket. Now waiting on that and to find a place to install the exhaust. What are your thoughts on the NIA full body kit for the IS500?
I prefer the lower rumble and tone of the Apex'i vs. the higher pitch of GTHaus. Also, if I'm not mistaken, GTHaus has an X-Pipe configuration. I read in the forums that Apex'i and their H-Pipe offer more low-end torque. Also, the price point.
@tubedude92 thanks again bro. Yeah, I didn't do coilovers. But wheels are next! The Fitment Factory and I are collaborating on wheels for the next mod.

What is the Ride quality like with the Swift Springs?? Any bounciness or harshness??@@Hyper_Boost
It really quiets down when the engine gets warm. That's why I went with a non-resonated pipe. 90% of the noise is muffled by the resonators. That whole stock piece that comes out literally weighs 50 lbs. just from the heavy resonators. Can you call or email them to change your order? From what I've heard, delivery is not until end of March. You might have some time to change it.
I'm thinking about going apexi resonated midpipe because I have future plans for PPE catted headers and borla axleback, so an unresonated midpipe may be too loud with those other parts.
@JustAnotherRandomNPC Ah! That makes sense! With axle backs, non-resonated pipes will be obnoxious. I did a full straight pipe set up on my Evo, and it was too loud to go to some places. Plus, the drone..OMG! It gave me headaches after 30 min of driving.
I got it from JM Racing. I don't know if there are anything available for the 350 though. I know for sure that Nvidia makes a sick axle back for the 350F.
I do not recommend buying this midpipe from JM Auto Racing. They advertise it as “available” but when I ordered it, they told me it was back ordered and would take about 8 weeks to ship. So I followed their instructions on how to cancel the order and didn’t hear back from them. So I emailed them to cancel the order and their reply was “it’s a special order product” and that “no dealer in the USA has this item in stock, not even Apex.” JM Auto Racing says if you place an order with them, then they just place an order with the manufacturer Apex, ….so you’re better off just trying to order directly from Apex. I was able to find a dealer in California who had the product in stock and received it in less than a week, so the information from JM Auto Racing is not accurate. As of this date, I’m still waiting to hear back from them regarding the cancellation and they also say they charge a 10% fee even though they do not advertise it as back ordered.
Hello sir. Just wanted to say thank you for the effort you put into showcasing your IS500 and mods. It gives me ideas on what to do with my IS500.

Oh c'mon bro! Now you got me intruiged about the GTHaus mufflers!😂 (I'm on a budget here!!)

@demetriusford oh OK. Not really interested in super loud anymore. Although, GTHaus is a valved system...damn bro. You got me thinking now.
Exactly what I needed as I need the exhaust done on mine!
It's really a great buy for the money, bro. Apex'i really "classes up" the looks of there systems even though you can't see it.😆
Thanks for a very thorough review on the unresonated ape I mid pipe.
man it sounds incredible . i need an IS500 in my life .
Thank you, brother! I appreciate it!

Thanks, bro! Will do!
See, this is how it should have sounded stock!!! Seems like a decent priced exhaust as well. Great pick sir!
Yes sir! It's an awesome product for the price point.
Nice video man, I like to see real life experiences/mods from owners.
Me too, bro! I really like real-world and practical aspects of car ownership as well as how mods affect daily use.
Mines on preorder for late June so excited. I have Borla axle back already.

Exactly! That midpipe resonator is so heavy too!
Honestly, its the single best thing Ive done to my IS500! What do you guys think?
@@Bills-Mafia-Forever Let's go!!!
installed mine a few months ago on my GSF........congrats
Same to you, bro!
Sounds really good ,especially for just being the mid pipe, it's hard to find a good balance of sound vs volume. But it seems like you did.
Thank you, bro! Yeah, I'm super surprised about the results, actually.
Sweet. My build is coming along too
That's awesome, bro!
Sounds amazing! I ordered the catalytic converter gasket. Now waiting on that and to find a place to install the exhaust. What are your thoughts on the NIA full body kit for the IS500?
Thank your, bro! NIA body kits are awesome! But a little bit too rich for my blood. $700 for a trunk spoiler is CRAZY!
hell yeah
Right?! Thanks for your support, bro!
Perfect 😘👌🏻
GTHAUS also sells their midpipe separately. Is there a reason why you choose the APEXI over GTHAUS?

It's definitely stiffer than stock. But barely. To me, it maintains near original stock ride quality.
Did you have the ASC turned up all the way or turned down all the way
Just checked. It's all the way up.
Can you do a video with the windows up and the ASC turned off
@@somebody8411 I can. Will get it up next Thursday or Friday. I'm actually curious on what it sounds like with the ASC off

Hmm, just purchased my apexi resonated last week. You made me questioning my decision 😂 maybe mine will be too quiet?

@@Hyper_Boost it's already on the way haha. How is the highway noise? I usually cruise at 90mph with 3k rpm, what's your experience?
I'm thinking about going apexi resonated midpipe because I have future plans for PPE catted headers and borla axleback, so an unresonated midpipe may be too loud with those other parts.
@tommiizeng8355 No drone. In fact, I hear a lot more road noise from the tires at 2500 rpm. But when you step on it....IT SCREAMS!
