I’ll never forget arriving in Venice by water taxi, absolutely thrilling. You beautifully captured the essence of Venice, a city like no other on Earth. 🥰👍
There is a timelessness to cities like Venice. Generations built it , lived and died there but Venice remains a place of romance and light. Cheers, Rik Spector
Venice is incredibly.. I love sitting outside of Caffe Florian drinking coffee, people watching and walking the small little streets after. What a place 👌
The world is filled with beautiful places ... and, you are doing a wonderful job of capturing them!! The new camera is amazing! Thank you for sharing, dear LTE!!
Venice is one of those places I think is hard to oversell, I'd heard "meh" reviews and so my expectations weren't high. I was picturing grandeur and artsy-fartsiness and some nice canals. But it was so much more than that. The first thing that struck me walking out from the train station is that I've never seen a cityscape like that before. And it's not different like London, Paris, Bangkok. New York etc. are all different (and vastly beautiful in their own ways), but it's totally different. You don't realise it at first, but there's no cars, and no roads, and that's a huge thing, and we've all seen canals before, but this one is so present. It was such an exotic landing. And it really did feel like I'd been just plonked somewhere totally new. Then a few minutes later I was getting lost in the adorable little alleys and side streets of Venice trying to find my hotel. Nobody talks about the streets of Venice, but they're some of the most charming, romantic little cryptic alleyways in the world. For me The Grand Canal and St Marks Square were impressive, but to me it was seeing the real canals being used for real that I loved. It's not for show! People unloading coffee bags off a little wooden canoe-thing onto a human-drawn cart, by a couple of gruff, smoking Venetian born-and-breds with, with chesthair and bumcrack aplenty, bought what is so totally magical about Venice to life for me - it's real. Truly loved it. Sorry for waffling on.
@Adam Efimoff Some things are for show or only used for tourists. Like the statue of liberty or something. It's great but it's just there to be witnessed. Those canals are simultaneously iconic but also just a very real transport network. Very rare!
***Definitely beautifully !*** A city that enchants and captures soul of everyone ! ***** Dear The Great Expert ! You made our weekend more enjoyable and happy especially at this dashing time ! Amazing video ! Holy truth !
Thank you much for the sights and sounds of the most beautiful treasure! Been many years I had the pleasure of experiencing it in person, so this was such a treat down memory lane!
I will never get to see Italy, the history, food, the language, the people. Just to be in that speed boat literally flying unloaded through those glassy waters, Fantastico!
even though its expensive; one MUST take a water taxi to arrive in Venice; its how Venice was meant to be seen, its how Venice had been approached for one thousand years, arriving in Venice Train Station is a chaotic loud mess
I know 2020 has been a difficult year for all of us, but I'm very thankful for all your efforts during this time and I appreciate all the videos you gave in 2020. It has been an absolute pleasure taking this journey with you, and I am giving you Caribbean Blessings to you & your family during the Christmas Season.
Venice was breathtakingly beautiful, so idyllic and serene. I stayed in a town not too far called Favaro Veneto it was a 40 minute tram ride in to the city.
This is a very charming city and easy to get to, I hope I can return to visit sometime in the future when all this is over. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much!
I wish I could go.. But It's ok.. 🙂 From Bangladesh. I love travel but I Don't have opportunity to go anywhere. But thanks to you. That's why I can see the world. No matter if I will go yet or not. i just happy to see that 🙂
When you visit Venice, one of the most beautiful things to do and that I recommend for tourists, even foreigner ones, is when you take the ferry or take a gondola ride listen to Vivaldi's music the four seasons (especially spring or winter) on headphones and immerse yourself in the beauty and charm of the city. It is s a unforgettable experience❤❤
Venice, known also as the “City of Canals,” “The Floating City,” and “Serenissima,” is arguably one of Italy's most picturesque cities. With its winding canals, striking architecture, and beautiful bridges, Venice is a popular destination for travel.
I almost booked a water taxi for the last family trip while my parents used public transport. But then we met at the airport and all of us used public transport instead of Blacklane. Blacklane has exceptional service there. For 160$ you can get from the airport directly to your hotel.
Is that another Riva you're in? (sigh) I'm still slightly jealous ever since your nephew got to pilot that Riva on Lake Como (he did a great job). Classic wooden runabouts, Boodles at the bar; historic locales and timeless architecture. All hallmarks of my favourite journeys of yours. Wishing happy and safe Holidays to you and yours, Dr. LTE!
