2:14 the shadow of the ship has holes in the wings like it’s the Sabre Raven. 😅
Funny thing is, this is the closest we've got to the F-35 stealth fighter, which primarily takes out its opponents with advanced missles. But missles in Star Citizen don't work that well.

It is a missile boat use the missiles.
I like it. It seems like you can really take advantage of that pancake shape really well, and the missiles seem to work on the PTU.
It also is definetly the top of the sabres on looks, especially since we're getting a black paint job for it.
Big ol Pass on this one for my hangar, kind of thought it'd be a QED version of the raven which I was moderately interested in but its just missiles
Yeah it would be better if it at least had 2 S4 guns

Not sure what CIG is going for with the Firebird… Not really enough missiles to stand out as a missile boat, and the main guns don’t hit all that hard. It’s a bit like a cross between the Talon and the Talon Shrike, except worse than both.

Yeah the speed is interesting but id imagine people are picking this up for missiles or looks, which I think the talon is still the better option, talon and Sabre both perform well in atmo too, great videos btw keep it up!
I would have to fly the talon to see the speed but the fire bird seems to be much faster

I love its shape, like its speed & agility, but these guns are definitely its Achilles heel so far. I'd say that if they price it closer to an Arrow or Gladius than a Hornet MK II, then it might be worth picking up for certain activities like training on aiming or low flying, but even then there's other ships that can do just as well. Then again, part of the problems with this vehicle so far could be partially caused by the new Master Modes balancing.
Master modes is bad for the game overall, this ship would have been in the old flight model

Can you salvage a ship prior to soft death? Thinking there's an opportunity here for improved efficiency with a sort of salvage combat. Same amount of time, but walk away with materials.

6:25 its not u. ballistics are broken this patch. i couldnt kill a freelancer with an inferno. i spent every round nose to nose.

alot of gun dps has changed, attritions now hit harder again and have faster ammo but they have less cap, the panthers now have a ton of ammo and cap but they do way less dps
the attritions are more like cannons than repeaters
damn all those frames we got are gone on that build huh? just a ton of people on the PTU or is the optimization pipe dream gone? will say the emissions on that thing look hella low.
I didn't buy my Sabre or Sabre comet for myself, my brother and fiance bought them for me. I otherwise do not buy fighters, even though I am good at combat. I just prefer other gameplay loops, in games like this, but engage in occasional combat. In Elite Dangerous we have events, some are wars where you pick a side, then fight enemy NPCs mixed with players that picked their side. It is always a good time!
I'm still disappointed over CIG selling us on the Sabre's shield power, then nerfing the shields lol, so I'll try this out, but not buying another, with cash
That’s my worry with this ship that they will nerf the speed after they make sales
Rebalancing is vital and welcome, it revitalizes the game, and its what you signed up for. You need to understand the basics, thank god they rebalanced the ARES. Go read the ''Terms of Service''.
@@davewills6121 CIG has no balance and synergy team, that is critical to the development of games. Especially MMOs. There has never been balance, to "re-balance". They are well aware how strong each ship type is, so outright marketing the Sabre based on the shield power, then immediately nerfing the shields happened because CIG has no method for balancing. They knew exactly what they were doing lol.

I understand game development very well, and having followed development since the pitch, before a kickstarter, I am WELL aware CIG has never ever had "balance and synergy" team, and development has always suffered because of it.

Not for me. If I fly this size I’d rather have more guns and less missiles. I’d go Sabre comet (looks) or a F7A Mk2 Hornet.

I know mirai is supposed to make one but fighters are all going to be trash because of master modes
I guess once we own it the weapon swapout will be a simple thing, just painful for now. Whats the theory behind the gattlings, is it a stealth ship?
Yeah it’s a stealth ship, but it’s hard to do hit and run with master modes
Couldn't call it a Raven MkII because they promised they would never sell Ravens. So instead it's a 'Firebird.'

Your signatures look really low, be interesting to see how this develops for hit and run. I've actually been having some fun with the light fighters in PVE, the Blade and Tana have been really great. Concur, I'm going to melt my A1 as well, just hasn't found its place for me.

I like the Raven but I would never pay 1000$+ for it. I got mine with my optane drive and I used that drive with my old intel machine.. years gone by and now the free ship is more worth then my drive costed.. weird world... finaly i will get a skin for it ... But the firebird will get a hard pass from me.
For that much money it better have a capital class shield

the ship will be an overpriced money waste. if potentially would have been awesome if 2 things happen. 1 the 2 guns are upped another size and the missle numbers are tripled. otherwise huge pass on spending money for anyone ever.
Could be worth it if you melt stuff but I won’t spend new money on it
