Such a rare car, and still when they mentioned it in grand tour, it turned out that Richard reviewed this in the past. Thats amazing how experienced they are.
For such a simple design, it seems really striking and beautiful. I would absolutely love to see one of these and get some pictures, but that seems absolutely impossible. Hell, it would be incredible to drive one but there is no universe where that would ever happen.
This car has a slight resemblance of the Ferrari 355, Toyota MR2 and a pinch of a Pontiac Fiero, but at the same time it looks very unique as well. I love it!!
It looks kinda like a ferrari 348 or f355. Very nice looking car, and there ain't a damn thing wrong with that Peugeot engine. Peugeot currently holds the world record time on Pike's peak. They know their shit, and this is coming from an American.
What a pointless non-review! What did we learn from it? a) So what if it was £62k - probably cheaper than the opposition and more exclusive. b) Thirsty? Can't be worse than the established supercar set. c) No rear seats? Well, it had two more than an Esprit, Ferrari 355, Lambo etc! Perhaps he could have told us how it compared to the opposition. I read such a contemporary article comparing it to an esprit Turbo. From memory the Venturi was a bit dearer and had very slightly worse handling. BUT: it was better built, far more practical, 2+2 seats, nearly as quick when maxed out and no thirstier. Sorry, but a win for the Gallic newcomer!
The 6-cylinder Venturi had absolutely nothing to do with the original PRV engine. Almost everything had been modified or changed by the factory, pistons, camshaft, new injection system, etc.... So much so that Venturi had it homologated as their own engine. More powerful versions of 500 or 600 BHP had even been developed for competition Venturis, notably for the 24 hours of Le Mans.
Bugatti Dewoitine Hispanosuiza Facel Vega Delahaie Voisin etc many french luxury brands in History, ignorant Hammond. Actually France was were automobile really was born
Citroen and Renault were luxury brands too. The first after the sucess of a 2cv became a generalist producer and after the ww2 Renault became a public possession and produced low cost and medium cost cars and still does it now
I love how this car looks
me too, it looks like a Ferrari F355 and a Maserati 3200gt had a really good looking kid:)
@@Prodriver33 For me it's like a 355 and MR2.
I want one ❗️❗️❗️

Do you know the episode and season when they mentioned it?
I love this car since i replayed GT2.....
Love the looks of this car

Grant Turismo 2 made me fall in love with this car, even after all this time I still want one.

The music is so fitting.
I like the individualism of it!
It's like a Lotus Esprit..!!! 😀👌
But is very very dated on the inside! Still...it's sooooo classic now..!!!
Magnifique!!!
This was a nice review. I liked watching it.
Gildo Pastore killed this brand ! Please Venturi, come back!!!!
A failed "pilot", an incompetent business manager,
an opaque real estate "investor", ... .
It's Gildo Pastore, Unsurprisingly he lives in Monaco.
Came here from JayEmm on cars.

Its a fancy MR2 MK2 like someone else said.
Gran turismo, put the atlantique back!
Looks like a fancy MR2
Omg yes
Who is this young handsome boy ? He looks like one of the middle aged men in Top Gear . I wonder if they are related .
Oh no , why are you so mean to me ? I would never be mean to you .
Perhaps I suffer for being so dumb .
sputnic That's my old account
Hammond wearing a beige coat and a turtle neck jumper. My my have times changed…
Well, wing mirrors are from a Citroën, and the rear lights are from a 1990-92 Ford Sierra Sapphire
Aston Martins of this era were assembled from bits of other Fords etc too
Some say he was born with three ears, and that he lost them in a poker game. It's the Top Gear sound editor!
Goddammit that music is loud....
Dude this isn't even Top Gear .
Not top gear.
The music and the video smells end of 90´s
It's essentially a Ferrari 355 kit car with a coked-up minivan engine.
Before the standardized test generation got to design cars.
Hamster is awesome, car looks cool…..but that music….terrible!
I wonder how much it would cost to have this car in the US

If a Ferrari 456 and Toyota MR2 had a baby, the Venturi Atlantique would be the result.
Was that his house?
Yeah, and that didnt cost $62k

If a 355 and an esprit had a love child
Hammond is a bit Alan partridge here isn't he?

Pas de notre faute :(
True, the golden days of french cars is post war period....
Citroen and Renault were luxury brands too.

The front looks a lot like a Silvia
