This is what I want to happen and believe should. Nakatani and Bam fight each other and the winner moves up and fights the Monster. I believe that Nakatani will knock Bam out but Monster will beat Nakatani. I believe that the Monster beats both of them.
Terrence Crawford is 36 years old, Inoue is still younger than Terence Crawford so he has time.. again; nobody knows what these fighters are going to do..
it's fully up to him even though remains fights in 122 lb are boring. be aware young he, who started from 108 lb, stayed for more than 4 years in 118 lb.
In terms of age, inoue is younger than beterbiev, younger than Crawford, younger than usyk, younger than canelo, younger than a lot of the concensus pfp top 10, he still has a lot to give.
126 , 126. Thats all I hear ppl say. People jsut want him to lose. If yall want him to lose so badly then at least make sure its not due to the size differences but but BOXING SKILLS. aint no one in 126 is as good as Inoue boxing wise.
I don't think he'll lose at 126. I think many of the American casual boxing audience will really get to know who Naoya Inoue is. By the time Inoue retires, I see him fighting at super featherweight. He'll knock out a lot of the guys en route but we'll probably see more 12 round fights at featherweight and super featherweight. By the time Inoue retires, I think he'll be undefeated and thats after fighting in 6 different weight divisions.
Shaping his body for higher weightclass (bringing all his quality like speed, explosiveness and power) costs time. just going up with the weight isn't enough. I'm surprised that many doesn't understand this point...
Let’s be real Inoue’s been outsized and out weighed for while now which isn’t surprising he already moved up 5 weight classes. Probably 126 is the max and fighters should move down to fight Inoue at that point
Naoya Inoue N01 God gifted power man talented honesty handsham gentilman boxing fighter in the world super God bless always wins wins wins wins wins wins wins wins wins wins wins
I think inoue probably ending his career at 126 at age 35 because i think he said he doesnt want to fight over 35 yrs old. He might be waiting for the champions at 126 to fight for undisputed and by the time theres only 2 guys left he will probably move up to 126 and fight those 2 for undisputed and retire. Similar to how he unified 122.
3 fights in 2025 for Inoue sounds about right. The fight with Goodman got pushed back so that's one off the books. But if Inoue decides to stay at 122, it make sense to have a warm up fight against a guy like MJ or Picasso before setting himself up against Junto Nakatani in Japan in Decemeber 2025. But I agree with you. I don't want Inoue to be wasting him time if he's not getting these big fights. That means either wait for Nakatani to come up and fight next year...or...move to featherweight and start taking on all the top dogs that have been calling him out like Brandon Figueroa, Angelo Leo and Rafael Espinoza. Those match ups are going to be fireworks of a fight. I saw a recent promo by ESPN that Inoue said that he'll be fighting more outside of Japan (mainly in the US) going forward. I think those fights will be best against the featherweight boxers in my honest opinion. Inoue the only guy that doesn't duck. Literally goes through all the best fighters in each division before moving up. I hope he moves up to 126 in 2025 or fight Nakatani.
When is the time for Inoue to move to 126??? When Inoue and his team decided to. Inoue and Nakatani will happen sooner or later. No one at 126 or 122 is even on the p4p list. Inoue vs. Nakatani is the best fight below 135.
If Junto was supposed to be Dec, now with a month delay with Goodman, hopefully Junto can be Jan or early 2026. He will eventually move to 126 and most likely retire there anyway. I think he's going to break Canelo's undisputed defenses of 4 before moving up against his mandatories and WBO no.2 with Doheny. He'll get critism now like all greats, but when his career is said and done, hopefully it will be appreciated then. Especially if his mandatories go on to win titles after he vacates.
Maybe he wants to see a Fulton fight, to see if Fulton can win at the level. Maybe the champs, don't want to come to Japan to fight. I think that's the main reason. Money. 😮
Please correct me if I’m wrong but I think all or most of his fights after the Goodman fight are out of Japan. I think the Nakatani fight is the best and biggest it can be if it’s in Japan. I think it’s good too since we can see more of Nakatani as he fights competition that gets better and better. I think Nakatani needs to continue building his name and record before fighting Inoue.
I like Inoue. lol but come on. He’s gotta step it up! It ain’t about 126. It’s either got to be Nakatani and MJ or maybe Angelo Leo if Espinoza moves up
I agree the problem about 126 is espinoza is damn fucking huge T_T, and none of the champs in 126 fighting each other. Its like they all waiting for inoue to move up
@davideyster3473 for what? The guy has 12 fight and lost to the guy Inoue knocked out. Career wise, it makes no sense to have MJ on resume. At this point, if he fight MJ, it is just to shut him up. Moving to 126 after Goodman makes more sense
One thing I noticed on the internet media is that Japanese boxing communities are very protective of Inoue. Nothing wrong w/ it but the sentiment I get is that a lot of people prefer Inoue not risking loss and retire as undefeated. Hey Inoue is already great and he can do whatever he wants to do but maybe his own country man fan base opinion is influencing his camps decision makings to prioritize perfect record over taking a big leap. One for fact, is that in 2023, Inoue did mention that he'd move up to 126 by the end of 2024 but he changed his plan and decided to stay 122 for one more year after bout w/ Nery. Maybe he's peaking out and hitting plateau earlier than he anticipated. Who knows
Hey man, keep up the great content, love from TX! It looks like Inoue vs Picasso is will be fought in America in 2025, but I agree with you in that this is a massive waste of time for Inoue. I actually think that after Goodman, I think that the only valid option for him at 122 (unless Junto moves up) is MJ. Inoue vs MJ in America would do higher numbers I believe, and a win over MJ would solidify his WIPEOUT of 122 lbs. Even if Junto moves up and the fight is set, it's possible that the weight-draining for Inoue may catch up to him during their bout. I agree with you in that Inoue should move up to featherweight fairly soon. I hope that his last fight in 2025 is at featherweight since he'll A) soon be out of his prime (if he isn't already), and B) he'll have no more competitive fights at 122.
If it's 3 fights per year, I'd rather Inoue not waste 1 of them on MJ at super bantamweight. 3 fights at featherweight would be the best case scenario. Until Nakatani moves up to 126, we aren't getting these two fighters matched up anytime soon
Who’s Zero? Bam is all the way down at 115! Suzumi Takayama is gonna emerge as a champion and he will have some problems when the time comes. You’ll know that name real soon and that’s who I think Bam should fight at this time next year. Don’t you think Bam should at least be within a weight class of Inoue before he’s a real option for a fight?
Hey True School We (The Fans) need to start clamouring for A Bam Rodriguez & Inoue Catch Weight fight. Not encourage him to go to featherweight. That is the P4P Best VS The P4P Best. There’s no better fight in boxing in the lower weight classes that can be made. 👊🏽🔥
Inoue is one of the best in the lower classes, but Bam has work to do he needs to go undisputed in his weight class or fight Junto to prove himself. How’s he in a weight classes where some of the best fighters are Japanese but yet he’s not fighting any Japanese fighters? Something isn’t adding up there, I’ll give you a Japanese fighter not named Junto he’s gonna have to come see in a year who will become world champion in 2025. His name is Suzumi Takayama and he’s got ridiculous punching power and skills. Bam need to fight him one day, Inoue needs to go to featherweight

It is not too heavy. Real fans think Inoue is so good he can dominate at 126 as well. They might be a bit more competitive, but that’s where the real entertainment lies.
@SpirituallyBiased I don't want to see the Monster at 126 or Crawford vs. Canelo. Look what happened to Valdez and Navarette when they moved up too far. This is what happened to Loma. Even great fighters have limitations. Weight divisions exist for a reason.
