    What Usyk 🇺🇦 as accomplished , is something that speak volumes about him an his character....
    He ran through the cruiser weight division and then he challenged himself with the Goliath's of the HW Division and beat them. Those that are criticizing him; need to check themselves ✅️ . #Ukraine stand up !!!

    Usyk is most definitely a top 5 heavyweight. Great resume, greatest skills a heavyweight has possessed. Defensively and offensively sound

    There is absolutely NO reason why Oleksandr Usyk is NOT an ATG. The man has ticked EVERY box as both an amateur & professional boxing champion.
    Undeniably HOFer after conquering CW to achieve UNDISPUTED there b4 beating 2 of the best HW champions for of this generation not once but twice each to achieve HW UNDISPUTED at HW too
    King of the backyard killaz, Usyk is the very definition of WORLD champion having travelled to beat & defend abroard more than any other current pro champion. Usyk has my FULL RESPECT 🙏🏽✊🏽😎

    I don't think anyone is denying that he is an all time great, but to say he is top 3, 5, etc heavyweight of all time is wild. Especially for beating aj and fury. Fury is just above average when he can't cheat.

      @litothecasual 20 днів тому +1

      I agree with him not being a top 5 yet but lets not forget that a lot of people think that Fury would beat most all time great heavyweights. And honestly, i think he can too

      When you consider that since his cruiserweight days he’s fought and beat the champion on foreign soil every single fight barring the Dubois fight, I think it warrants him being top 5 all time.

    For all American boxing fans Usyk has to be black then he will be regarded as all time great tell that Tim,Naji and all of them or we should get a darker color paint😂

    Multiple things can be true at the same time.
    Yes, usyk is the best heavyweight of this generation.
    But this is DEFINITELY a weak heavyweight era.
    If you disagree, then tell me in what other era, could someone like fury (a blubbery, on again and off again JUNKIE) be considered the top guy??
    And in what other era, could somebody like deontay wilder, a guy with almost ZERO boxing ability, make TEN title defenses??
    Does anyone here REALLY think that deontay wilder could knock out 42 guys in the 70s, 80s or 90s??

  • @joelastre4864
    @joelastre4864 20 днів тому

    montero is a big fan of (and heavily biased toward) Eastern European fighters.
    So you have to take his opinion on this with a grain of salt.
    It's just ludicrous to think that someone with 23 fights could be the greatest fighter of the 21st century.
    Especially since has has fought only one (MAYBE two, if you count joshua) hall of Fame caliber fighters.

    • @СашаІванов-л5ц
      @СашаІванов-л5ц 20 днів тому

      The Hall of Fame is not an indicator of the level of boxers. The Hall of Fame includes Gatti, John Ruiz and other random people in terms of their level of boxing ATG. You can ignore Montero, but you can remember simple facts - after the fall of the USSR and the opening of borders, boxers from Eastern Europe were able to move to professional boxing. After that, they began to dominate in heavyweight (along with boxers from Britain - also European boxing). American heavyweights have disappeared somewhere. Where are they? I remember Brewster, Wilder... and that's it.

      @@СашаІванов-л5ц REGARDING THE HALL OF FAME:
      You are correct, there are some boxers that don't belong in the hall of fame. Like the guys you mentioned.
      But those guys are outliers. And in general, most boxers in the hall of famers actually deserve to be there. And being in the hall of fame provides some kind of overall gauge of someone's' level of skill/talent. Which provides a reasonable way to judge someone's resume.
      REGARDING EASTERN EUROPEAN BOXERS:
      I agree with you on this. American boxing in general (not just heavyweights) is GROSSLY overrated. And the only reason American fighters get so much attention is because they have the benefit of having the giant American media companies pushing their names.
      However, with all of this being said, it still doesn't change the fact that our current era of heavyweights is quite weak. And if you disagree, then tell me in what other era, could someone like fury (a blubbery, on again and off again DRUG ADDICT) be considered the top guy??
      And in what other era, could somebody like deontay wilder, a guy with almost ZERO boxing ability, make TEN title defenses??
      Does anyone here REALLY think that deontay wilder could knock out 42 guys in the 70s, 80s, 90s or early 2000s??
      And if beating deontay wilder makes fury so great, then what does that say about the current heavyweight landscape??

      Fury beat Klitschko, who dominated the heavyweight division for years. Not just a win over Wilder
      Depends on how you compare. The best with the best or the average level.

    • @joelastre4864
      @joelastre4864 19 днів тому

      @@СашаІванов-л5ц Yes, he 'beat' Klitschko. But that was a prime, young, 27 year old tyson fury. Against Klitschko who was almost 40 years old and had already been fighting for almost 20 years. So that was very far from being anywhere near the best (or the peak) version of Klitschko.
      In other words, he was fighting an old man who was way past his prime. And even while fighting an old man, fury used an extremely defensive approach, to win a cheap, boring decision.
      Overall, I honestly think that Tyson fury has been a conman who has tricked the public with his antics. And his skills were greatly overrated. And all of this was pushed by a huge American media company (bob arum and top rank) promoting him as some sort of ATG.
      REGARDING THE GIANT HEAVYWEIGHTS AGAINST ATG TOP 10 LIST:
      Just because these giant heavyweights are much bigger than the ATG guys, does not automatically mean they would beat any of the ATG top 10.
      Yes, these giants might be dimensionally larger and stronger, but they are also much slower and much less coordinated. And that creates huge problems for these big guys.
      Just look at what a much smaller usyk did to both Joshua and Fury.
      Look at what a much smaller lamon brewster did to Klitschko.
      Look at what a much smaller andy ruiz did to Anthony Joshua.
      And look at what a much smaller Rahman and oliver McCall did to lennox lewis.
      When it comes to heavyweight boxing, these size and weight advantages are not as dramatic as in the lower weight classes. Because for heavyweights, more size and weight eventually reaches a point of diminishing returns. As the larger guy will be at a disadvantage in terms of agility and mobility against the smaller guy.
      Therefore, usyk fighting fury, is nowhere near the same disadvantage as let's say Lomachenko fighting bivol. As Bivol would remain much bigger than Loma. Yet still keep very high levels of speed, mobility and agility.
      That is simply not the case for guys like fury or Joshua when they fight a faster, more athletic, smaller guy.
      In my opinion, a much faster, much more athletic guy like a young mike Tyson would absolutely obliterate guys like fury or Joshua.
      But these are all opinions and all of this is (as you said) subjective. Because unfortunately we could never really see any of these fights.

    • @СашаІванов-л5ц
      @СашаІванов-л5ц 19 днів тому

      @@joelastre4864 Thank you for your opinion. Of course, if a boxer is bigger, it doesn't mean he'll win 100%. But that's usually how it works. A good big boxer will always beat a good small boxer.
      About Fury. We can argue for a long time whether he's overrated or not, how cool he is. I judge by what the great coach Steward said - Fury is a very talented boxer and a future dominator. I trust Steward's opinion 100%.
      Regarding Tyson. You overestimate his capabilities. Remember his fight with Smith - Tyson was in his prime then. He couldn't knock him out and fumbled the entire fight. Smith is 1.93 tall. Joshua is a much more skilled and much larger and more powerful boxer. By the way, before LL, Tyson simply couldn't reach him (even in a jump). Joshua's weakness is his jaw. And therefore ANY boxer with punches and good speed in exchanges has a chance against Joshua.
