11:30. Câncer, dementia, Alzeimer, parkinson can be caused by excess inflamattion, wich is caused by excess insulin, wich is caused by excess sugar/glicose/carbs. 14:42: Low carb, high fat, IF diet is ideal diet to prevent/treat these conditions.

I'm "binge watching" your videos, Dr. Cywes, only having discovered them this afternoon. In just the roughly 50 minutes I've watched so far, you've clarified a multitude of issues I've been experiencing while being on the keto diet. I've only been on it for nine weeks, after a lifetime (67 years) of the S.A.D., but while I've lost weight (47 pounds, with a lot more to lose) and my a1c has dropped 3 points, down to a far better 5.9, I've also begun to experience a huge amount of pain, as if all the inflammation of arthritis has flared up once more. NOW I understand---even though I've been eating very low carb, I haven't been eating much in the way of meat, and I really, really, REALLY "LIKE-LIKE" meat a lot (like-like is a former coworker's way of saying "love" without overusing that word)!
As of right now, I'm going to watch everything you have posted on YT, but having watched the one regarding carnivore eating, I'm first going to have a very large hamburger steak (my favorite "cut" of beef). I eat only OMAD, just preferring it, and right now is meal time, so I'm off for that, then more of your highly informative videos.

Dr Cywes, thanks for the great explanation of autophagy. Your talks are changing lives! Mine included. I've survived cancer, various autoimmune itis's, hashimotos and an ongoing neurological diagnosis. I'm over six months into keto and intermittent fasting and having great success. I'm no longer obese or hungry all the time! I am hopeful for some healing from my many decades of carb addiction and inflamation ignorance. I am a realist but I'd love to surprise my neurologist. Blessings to you.

This video really speaks to me. I've requested the C-Reactive Protein yearly for the last 16 years . I say that because my doctor feels the test is not a useful tool or does not know what to do with it. Over the years, its increased from 4.1 to last years high of 15. This year it was 12.5, but it was due to cutting ny carbs to between 5-15 grams/day and losing over 100 lbs. I assume lowering the number is a slow process, so I will continue getting the test until it is normal. I have always felt that inflammation is at the root of most diseases. Thanks, Dr. Cywes for breaking it down in layman's terms.

Nice to know I have little vacuum cleaners and soldiers swimming around my body. I do like a a clean house, now I know if I eat "healthy" I can have a clean internal body. Thanks for the great biology lesson. It's all about staying in "gentle vibration," instead of in disruptive inflammatory storms. I do not want to chew myself up without realizing it. Please talk about how long it takes to reverse insulin resistance. How do you know you are becoming metabolically healthy. How do we measure progress? My fasting insulin is still high after being in nutritional ketosis for over 6 months. Thanks again!!!!

I was diagnosed with autoimmune disease three years ago (rheumatologist in U.S. said SLE affecting four body systems and rheumatologist in U.K. where I now live says Mixed Connective Tissue Disease). So many medications to manage the condition, so much of life chipped away by the limitations of the body as it tries to cope. I will begin applying the dietary principles I am learning from you as an addendum to my medical treatment. You give me hope that in time I will be able to reduce my medications. Thank you again for sharing your knowledge with us.

    14 I will praise You, for [g]I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
    Marvelous are Your works,

And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.
And in Your book they all were written,
    The days fashioned for me,
When as yet there were none of them.

The best approach has been Mikhaila Petersons Lion diet (Red meat, salt and water) as a 30-60 day "cleanse". And then practice adding things back in. I have to be careful with pork (and it's my favorite, especially bacon and sausage).

Not even a yen to snack, my libido is coming back, depression lifted, my organs are getting softer, no more bloating. Not tired after every meal. Hopefully I can get off my thyroid pill. I've looked for information on that little bugger for 20 years. You put it so simple and matter of fact and make so much sense. My doctors have been totally useless. You are a God send. I have high inflammation as well as Hashimotos and a possible other autoimmune issue. I am working on getting my weight down, exercising and eating keto and intermittent fasting. Is there a way to get inflammation down with autoimmune conditions or am I stuck with it? Or is there more I can do?

I think you need to watch the video again. He addressed these questions in it.

Do not underestimate vitamin A, especially from liver!
Eat 100 gram every other day for 2 weeks, then come back and tell me what happend. Take notes!

You should check out Laura Spath on youtube. She’s features her mom on her channel a couple of times who was type ll and has Hashimoto’s and does keto/carnivore. She talks about her experience and how it helped. It might help with your situation.

broadbandtogod - I love liver...but... as a gout sufferer concerned about the massive purine levels. Safe for gout sufferers?
