1974 gaul sinks humberside police was so thick (stupid) the norweigans knew where it was next day when the trawler rialto brought up blue paint on it's bobbings i the royal navy coudn't find it years later channel 5 found and filmed the wreck the skipper peter nellist was a fool sailing with the fish chute open and all vents open and all hatches to flood the factory deck in a force 10 gale the ships was mighy fine like her sisters kurd and arab all built at brooke marine to high standards it was negligence on skipper nellist but now to 2023 the humberside police are even more thicker and just look at speeding motorists R.I.P all crew members xxx
Anyone know what happened next? We’re the bodies confirmed as crew from the Gaul? Why didn’t news of the bodies being found get back to the UK until 2012?? Personally, I think the Gaul was accidentally hit by a Russian sub. Too embarrassing at the time for rRussia ? hence the shadiness over the years…
the Gaul has been found on the sea bed undamaged , the fact its been revealed hull trawler captains were leaned on to perform intelligence operations by the state is more telling imo. i worked as a taxi driver in hull before the wreck was discovered (reported impossible to locate) ? yet it was common knowledge among foreign captains i carried in cab where not to trail rigging to avoid snagging on the wreck ?
