What would be ur recommendation for like a “noob” low skill gun that’s still effective? (Ik tarkov isn’t a very low skill friendly game but I enjoy playing it with my dad for the gun stuff/looting) I’ve tried shotguns but those don’t seem to do great. Smgs r ok but seems u have to be good at aiming for headshots? 545? 556?
If they don't want to painstakingly go through all the zeroes of optics and adjust them to all the bullets accordingly, they should just let users manually tune the zero by moving the reticle arbitrarily so we can just set our own zeros. So instead of changing it to different set distances, they should move by x moa per "click" like real scopes do... At least make it an optional advanced feature..
i mean if they allow customizing zeroing ourselves then exporting them as presets on our PCs, chances are the community will come together to make these then upload them for everyone to use. that way BSG dont have to do their job and we still get what we want
@@Yeet20001 honestly, with 6k hours, getting cheated on about 72% of the time that I do die, I believe whoever is still playing and not cheating are either just addicted like myself, or totally unaware of all the times it's actually a cheater killing them. Now, often times I can tell if they are good or bad, cheating or not, before one of us dies. Sometimes I even get the kill. They seriously whiff so bad a lot , yet have amazing stats. Walls don't make you good 😂
It is a easy fix for bsg too, the scope being calibrated to a bullet that is not hard coded. It is just a attribute. We have had a mod in SPT that update that attribute automatically according to the bullet in your chamber during loading screen. Just add the ability to select the bullet the scope is zero-ed with and problem solved. Our character is a PMC, I doubt zeroing is a foreign concept to them
@@RangerDrey911 in face checking nothing really beats the ash 12 prehaps except for the hybrid spear or the mp7 and I love it for that. Our group don't call it the sledgehammer for no reason
PS12A being ~108 grains at 3425 fps, especially, out of a handgun is fucking insane. Like I almost doubt BSG hasn't fucked up somewhere in terms of realism there
I felt this very acutely when I dipped into using it recently. Didn't realize it was only after the Mortar patch, guess I lucked in my only trying it at that point. It feels amazing, though you really need to run a laser with it to see where the barrel actually points.. or just get very familiar with using the graduations on a scope, but that's a bit sketchy to rely on in clutch moments.

Shooting range lvl.1 should let you right click on the gun in stash and set which specific bullet the scope zeros to, the gun’s fire mode and flashlight mode.
I tested the 308 caliber ultranosler and BCP. I compared the flight of a bullet in a game with a ballistic calculator. It seems that BSG has gone through the entire array of data on cartridges. If earlier these cartridges had a ballistic coefficient of 0.41 and 0.479, respectively, and they flew according to the calculator, now, after the last update, they fly as if they have a ballistic coefficient of ~ 0.187 - 0.2. I wrote about this BSG on the official forum, but it did not bring results.
We need scope zeroing looked at fr, the fact a 24x only zeros to 450 is insane. Was hunting rogues the other day with the 4x24 and has to aim at the 10 and 15th mark just to hit a 700m headshot..
A long time ago the deva mentioned they want to rework zeroing, the things they mentioned would be the ability to zero with iron sights for guns that can adjust them as well as the ability to peek under an optic for some setups (IE a pso-1 or useing your carrying handle with an acog directly on it), I assume that when we get that or at least hope they allow you to set the ammo zeroing for diffrent rounds either in or between raids
I have been waiting for the ability to use the clearly visible iron sights. It would be extremely simple. The mosin, VSS and AKs would be so much better with a PSO
It’s amazing to me that a sole developer in the single player community created a solution to this problem by just letting the player pick the round that they’d like their weapon zeroed to at any point. Yet BSG can’t seem to do the same with a whole team of developers and years of this being an issue in the game.
Bullet velocity as a whole needs to be fixed. For a game that claims that it wants to be realistic ion think having to aim infront of someone at 25 meters just so your bullets can actually hit them is realistic
as someone who loves the ash12 and has used it with a rangefinder before to land 200m+ kills, i knew exactly what the bug was as soon as you took that shot on interchange lmfao. never change battlestate
i am using echo1 thermal m4 as a spotter and ash12 ps12a as a long range leg and worked well 3-4 shots to kill, very effective sniper if you aim lower like 2mildots
Seeing as how getting 3rd-partied is how I die 50% of the time when fighting players, I'm running the suppressor. I also feel it's kind of a shame that the ammo lost it's subsonic trait due to the speed increase. Now if you miss, people run, knowing the bullet flies fast and deals damage rather than just keep walking. But I guess it's better for sniping now, so that's a plus, me like.
PS12A at 870m/s, depending on how its zeroing and bullet drop ends up might make it a good Zryachi killer as it should one shot his guards. If the zeroing isn't too off the only problem using it before unlocking the AXMC would be the 25 loss in accuracy from swapping off warmageddons +10 to PS12As -15 could make it too inaccurate but I think both MOAs would be around 1.9 so it should be doable. Defiantly something I'm going to test later as one shot head shots on the guards would make farming them SO much safer early wipe, might even test the RSH-12.

Its moa should be around 1.94 with ps12a if db4tarkov is up to date, which is basically identical to a stock adar with warmage so it hopefully feels the same just with one shots on the right guards. Testing will be mainly to see how bad the zeroing is with ps12a being 3x faster than the calibers base bullet.
all I’ll say is I used the ash last night with the best ammo and killed 2 people then died to a third now get this… I had 24/27 shots hit and over 1200 damage absorbed by armor and if I recall they both only had Level 5 Korund…
The ps12b just needs to have more blunt damage. Realistically speaking this caliber and gun was built to kill or incapacitate your target as quick as possible. Realistically speaking I'm pretty sure if I had a way to stop that bullet irl the fractured ribs and shit would make me a lot less combat effect if at all.
Running Ash12 in raid , not about being silent or tactical. It's about sending MESSAGE 😂 Also, sound of empty ejected bullet cartridge's makes me satisfied every time i hear it.

Hi giga, could you make a video about optimal audio settings? I can't get them right after the last couple of audio revamps by BSG and your game sounds a lot crisper than mine.
Why are no youtubers talking about the state of the game right now and fps. Used to get 160fps on the older maps now 80-90 used to get 110 on street now 60 and variable scopes are unusable. Since patch 15 there have massive stutters and game latency is terribly inconsistent. I have a 14600k and 4070ti not the best gear but far from a bad system. My brothers 7800x3d and 4080super is tied for fps +/- 10fps. So tells me it's a game optimisation thing. Could be tied to the vaulting mechanic now always being automatic because it used to be a bug that lowered fps.
This is the feather post FX applied. Play with the values and you can pretty much make your game greyscale, improving visuals in night raids. He is just using NVGs there.
Those are just normal GPNVG's. He uses the 'Feather' postfx to make the game black and white. Supposedly, it makes it easier to see and is certainly easier on the eyes. You're also correct, thermals can't see through glass.

Got one-shot with PS12B last night on customs. Pushed by two man shitter team but had monocular and couldn't see peripheral vision. Was livid... Might have to revisit these things.
If I remember correctly - this is more of a stupid "feature", because weapons in EFT have more of a strikeball feature of "Magnus effect" where the faster projectile is spinning in wind direction - than higher up it's going

Use the SVD or SV-98. I've hit 930m headshots on rogues with them. Use T46M and a fat scope. Aim really high and watch where your bullet goes and adjust.
A "fix"? A fix is when something is corrected, but the old values were actually correct. The new ones are just absolute fantasy values. EfT is increasingly turning into an arcade fantasy shooter, it's so ridiculous.
You are wrong, point blank The PS12A originally was 290m/s, but the new value (870m/s) with it reaching 886m/s in the ASH-12 with suppressor lines up with the stated real life stated value of 890m/s. It is explicitly stated that the PS12A is a "Supersonic *SABOTED* 7 gram aluminium bullet" Ps12B being a dedicated "armor piercing round" is loaded with a 18 gram projectile made of steel/tungsten and lead. Would make sense to have a lighter round (vs PS12's 33 gram) with the same powder load to push more velocity, and it wouldn't make sense to reduce the powder load for it to be subsonic, therefore gimping it's ability to penetrate armor now wouldn't it?
again, im torn between enjoying the breakdowns of the mechanics and hating how you're optimizing the fun out the game as soon as possible. The major take away from your videos is that a small % of the content is objectively "worth using", which makes the meta gaming problem so much worse.

I'm guessing it was a team of 4 that you fought in the first engagement. The first two you killed thought you were their teammate, which is why they didn't react. Just my wild guess.

4x24 is a 4x zoom, the 24 is just how big the objective lens is (24mm)

Rsh accuracy would be way too unreliable, doubt its gonna work but ash12 with ps12a is worth a shot.

I really wish they would fix the zeroing system so that you pick what round you're zeroing for (and set initial zero) before leaving the hideout.
Or at least make the fastest round as base zero because people are more used to aim above to compensate for drop than the other way around

ASH12 is a factory only weapon really innit. Either that or close range Boss killing.
It goes stupidly hard on killa and pvp if your on the right map/engagements
It goes hard asf on killa and sanitar since he might not have armor but insane health and ps12a shred him he'll any of the ammo shreds him.
I use the Ash in PvE and the pmcs don't die in one shot to the thorax. The paca is blunting shots and so is class 4 armor. In Factory. With PS12B

I think his movement was limited because he was proned while the guy was running around and behind cover most of the time
