Short story ( read more for the long story):
No I didn't get a second date, I didn't get a true first date either.
Long Story:
Bowling never happened (would have been first date) on December 14th, she said she was too tired after work (she works as a nanny and goes to school part time), so I don't think she was being flaky. After this, she said "We can definitely set a day to the gym." ( When I first talked to her, I told her I go to the gym at 9 am everyday except on Sundays). She was so busy and I wasn't going to bend over backwards to hang out with her. She said she didn't have a set time for when she gets off from nannying, so I told her that if shes not too tired one night to message me, and we can do something (probably making myself too available and "needy"). Anyways, first date ended up being on Jan. 2nd at the gym, Way too long of a wait! It didn't go that well, it was last minute (she asked me) and I should have told her that I was busy because I had to rush from work to the gym. She was already into her workout and I got right into my workout without even talking to her but just smiling and doing my workout. She was finished her's before I was finished and she caught me inbetween sets and I wasn't very responsive, energetic, or entertaining (I felt caught off guard and nervous because this "date" was just thrown together and shes very beautiful). As a result I think I turned her off, and she lost that attraction that I had built with her. She said she had to go, and I said goodbye and take care in spanish (her native language is spanish), she didnt smile, and I got lost inside my head trying to think of something to say as she walked away.
I haven't texted her since and she hasn't texted me.
Take aways:
1.) I think I was too persistent with her through text about hanging out for the first time (first date)
2.) I never used the word date, I think I should have.
3.) When I first met her, I never broke the touch or personal space barrier after talking to her for nearly 20 minutes
4.) My tonality was quite monotone when I was talking to her during the initial interaction
5.) During the initial interaction, I told several stories but they were very shallow and lacked energy.
6.) I did joke with her a bit during the initial interaction asking her if she wanted to race leaving the parking lot.(we both drive big trucks)
7.) Being funny and joking over text isn't near as good as in person. I should have the guts to be myself and do this in person.

I've found the one word that gets a girl intrigued is when you tell her "no." Most women can get guys to do whatever they want, so when one guy turns her down, she's intrigued because the gut shows that he has balls and backbone, but also that he's different.

I've been known to walk up to a girl, whether I'm initially super interested or not, and ask her if she's interested in going in on a bank robbery job with me. You'd be surprised at how many immediately smile and laugh and this even works when breaking into the pack they might be running with.
Say there are 2-4 girls out together. You can totally break into that pack with some oddball question.
Of course, no one is robbing any banks but I've had some kick ass results from odd balls opening lines that are really just spur of the moment bullshit.

Usually on a first date I'll start with a quick drink (make sure she's not boring), invite her to dinner where we do the 36 questions and as a last stop I'll take her to play pool, karaoke or dancing. Those are the "unpredictable" things I do on a first date.
I usually play the " I don't give a shit, even though I know you're looking " card and it works WONDERS.....but maybe I can switch it up and be the outgoing guy I normally am when the spotlight isn't on me. I'm sure I'd get great results...its just a matter of actually executing. Far too often I say I'll be more outgoing and I default back to the don't give a shit guy..

Take her to a restaurant that serves bugs on the menu!
Put her favorite places on some cards, let her pick one out of a bag/box then go there.
Do something adventurous. Go skydiving, rafter go etc.
Take a lesson together. Learn how to dance.

is unpredictability necessarily good or a healthy thing for people? Probably a balance with it is the healthiest. Which is something you might have meant but forgot to mention. It's interesting at first, but can quickly turn dangerous if not controlled.
Maybe this works on dummies but for most of us, unpredictability is a red flag and we’ll be running to the next guy even faster.

Sphelele Ngidi just act like you messing up never even happened. I am currently in this situation with three girls I met. And they all seem more interested that I just don’t care. They respect you more. And wonder why you aren’t responsive like every other guy they met. Just keep doing you and maybe even try talking to other women she knows and friendzone some of them. This is on an entire different level, but my point is just act like shit doesn’t bother you and eventually it just won’t because you have fucked up so many times.
