    I’m five weeks out from a full extraction, top and bottom all on fours. The more of your videos I watch, the more I wish I had a just flown to Texas and had you guys do it.

    I am considering having all on four implantrs done in Australia, and this excellent video has given me a lot of insight into the how and why of the process. Even though I will not be coming to your clinic in Texas, I am grateful for the information you have shared. Thank you Daniel Choi !

      Btw it would be nice if you explained the medications used for aftercare. I’m allergic to most antibiotics so that would be helpful to know what medications you use.

    Wasnt All on 4 initially created for completely endentulous patients? Arent there problems with angled abutments not offering the proper support (i.e. breaking)? Is it not true that the All on 4 only extends to the first molar, and this is cantilevered off the last implant? Why reduce healthy bone structure, when there are other potential options? Wouldnt 6-8 implants offer better support and allow for placing a prosthesis with 2nd molars? Are your prosthesis concave or convex at the gumline? Cleansability issues?
    Why not an implant supported bridge? This offers less/no bone reduction, better aesthetics, easier cleaning, no in office twice yearly cleanings (removing the denture), etc. Im curious about your thoughts.
    All the best

      @@northtexasdentalsurgery Thank you for responding to my questions and I look forward to your video. Thankfully I am not in need of a full mouth restoration, but I can see how patients can be scared/apprehensive about the choices available to them. As patients we rely on the advice and expertise of our doctors to hopefully make the best most informed decision. I would like to think that the doctors have my best interest at heart.

    Dr. Choi, this is your future all-on-x patient. I saved up enough money for the surgery and am waiting for the right time to take off work (after the holidays). I had a zoom consultation with you already but after watching this video I got more questions. How long does the surgery take if it's for both arches and a patient has 30 teeth to remove? And another one - you mentioned in the video you get a reaction from people when you put the screws in. Wait a minute, they can see/feel/remember everything? I would definitely prefer to be fully sedated and I hope that's an option? Thank you for this video btw, very educational and very helpful in understanding what to expect.

      You will be sedated. As I was coming out of it I heard them screwing the temporary in and them telling me to open my mouth so they could finish, but I did not feel a thing. I fell asleep on the ride home and don’t remember much about that day other than showing up and coming out of it. Apparently I texted family to let them know all was well after but I don’t remember doing it! Lol I was there from 7:30-4:30 for both arches. It was worth it!!

    Are less implants a good thing? Meaning you dont need to over stabilize for the prosthesis?

    Thanks for an educational video. Are the natural teeth extracted as would only a single tooth be extracted? Or is there a special way to remove the teeth? After the top teeth have the implants and temporary teeth fixture, how long before the bottom teeth extraction and implants done?

    • @northtexasdentalsurgery
      @northtexasdentalsurgery  Рік тому

      The teeth are extracted like any normal extraction. And the lower teeth are done at the same time as upper

      @@northtexasdentalsurgery I have watched many of your videos and will continue to watch all of the videos on your channel. At some point, I plan to get the all on 4 or 6 on top and bottom. As of now, I have no dentures but lot of crowns and fillings (and crooked teeth). Wondering if you can give a “ball park” estimate of how much both upper and lowers might cost if no “out of the ordinary” issues.
      I really appreciate how your videos explain the implant procedures. Thanks.

    What did you do with the “honey combed” bones after you removed all the infectious places? Do you bone graft it? Do you leave it with the hope the bone will re-generate?

    Is this an all on four bridge?

  • @pikebishop215

    I would send her for a scaling, root curettage, mobility testing, periodontal probing, and occlusal analysis to establish a baseline before I recommended all on four.

    Dr Choi, I got this procedure last year (finals in August). Here are the three issues I experience now: 1. Throbbing aches in the front area a few times a day. 2. Pressure on my gums in the front area when biting on food. 3. Feels extremely bulky top and bottom on the tongue side. I believe that’s because the front implants were placed too far away from teeth. Do you agree? And if so, what’s the solution at this point? I would very much appreciate it if you could give me some insight. 🙏

    Hi Dr Choi. I love your video blogs. Got a question for you. Both my wife and I need molar implants-her’s upper and me lower. We’ve consulted 2 dentists. Dentist A uses only Straumann whereas dentist B swears by BioHorizons. Dentist A is almost 4xs more expensive for the procedure than dentist B. What’s your thoughts? Thanks

    I had a root canal done in a front tooth a couple yrs ago- yesterday the tooth /not just the cap but the entire tooth just fell off so I went today to the same doctor and he just put in a bigger post/the biggest allowed and stuck it back on. However my tooth still hurts even though he said it didn't show any or much(he didnt really say) infection. So if I continue to have pain there should I get this tooth pulled?

    I have a question, i have dentures already HATE THEM!! I am going to have an all on x done May 1st my periodontist said I don’t have to have bone graph or sinus lift. But I would like to know for all on 4(x) do you you still have to shave done bone and how will the pain be since I have already had the extractions?

  • @valhala56
    @valhala56 Рік тому +1

    Question is it better to have an all on four immediatly after full extractions or doing it after extractions 6 months previously?

    • @northtexasdentalsurgery
      @northtexasdentalsurgery  Рік тому +2

      Most cases I personally think are better at time of extraction. But if your teeth are super infected then it might be a bit more predictable to do the implants later. It’s a case by case basis

    no perforation guides ? how you control angle? how you control perforation depth with that tool? should we just trust your skill? also when reducing bone no line of measurement to make sure bone line is even ? also you work too fast with a level of inconsideration for the human tissues you handling.
    invest in new surgy digital tools and equipment, remove the pressure of execution in all your surgeries.
    PS: you still are one of the best dentists in the united states
