Awesome first look, thanks Stefan! Yeah I'd like the bigger model too, with a bit more storage space. Here in NZ racing is much more about where you point the glider, rather than every bit of performance. So I'd much prefer the bigger model both me and my lunch can fit in... and I'd also love to do some touring in it.

I don’t think that will be permanently on board, at least Jonkers and Schleicher don‘t have it included. For the normal pilot it safes weight but I agree that it is necessary to be able to store a charger in the glider if you want to travel by glider 👍

I don't think the electric system is already light and powerful enough for double seaters... The Ventus E is a great design and they benefit from the other designs and solved problems. The bigger electric motor of the AS33 with a bigger prop than JS3 for efficiency and better heat dissipation, batteries in the fuselage for better acceptance of the customers.

RES models of it and the JS5 are planned for the future. Where do you get your statistics that paragliding is 10x safer? At least according to an analasys by Clemens Ceipek (chessintheair), Paragliding has one death per ~35,000 hours, while Gliding has one in ~50,000, making it quite a bit safer.
Fires on board are obviously scary, but that doesn't only apply to Electric Propulsion. Conventional engines obviously also have an inherent fire risk, and even unpowered gliders often carry lithium batteries for their avionics.
For a Midair fire, you probably have little choice but to bail out (assuming you aren't below a reasonably safe bail out altitude, but in that case you probably have a good chance to make it to the ground).
I think in many pilots, there is a big push to "fly it to the end" even in cases where there would be a safer alternative (see also the high rate of non-activation of ballistic recovery systems in aircraft equipped with those that had control issues / engine outs). The one case of in-flight fire with a fatality I could find sounds like such a case. Smoke / fumes caused loss of control, the aircraft exceeded VNE., it crashed.
