Love your work! I’m going to be launching a parenting channel and I will definitely share your channel. Your videos are really helpful to the parent community
Hi Ma’am . I’ve been following your videos lately . My son has cerebral palsy too aged 4 years . We’re still trying to get his neck control through various excercises but at the same time working on his overall body balance and leg stiffness too . Do you think administration of botox at this stage will help ?
Unfortunately, it is considered unethical for me to provide treatment recommendations for a child I have not personally evaluated.I have several clients who use Botox regularly to address stiffness. Only your doctors and your physical therapist can give the best recommendations regarding your specific child. I wish you the best luck and please tell your son I said hello.
I don’t know what medical advances are going to happen in his lifetime. Without some medical advance it is unlikely that he will walk or sit normally. I hope he will learn to walk consistently in a walker and be able to sit safely in a regular chair one day even without medical advances.
Hi mai I had seen your video with this sabastian years ago has he not yet improved still I see he cannot control his head. I am so demotivated that cp case cannot be improved 😢😢😢😢😢 my child also has cp age 20 months
Yes you are correct. Sebastian does not have good head control yet. He has improved in his head control. He has improved in his ability to walk in a walker. He has improved in his ability to sit unsupported. But his progress is slow and measured over months and years not days and weeks as in typical development. I hope you can support and love your child exactly as he or she is and help her/him be the best she/he can be with his or her limitations. You will have a different life with your child than you would have had if you had a neurotypical child...but your child's life can still be wonderful and filled with love and joy. You will learn different lessons and see different horizons. Embrace your new adventure when you are able. I am going to try to produce a video to address your concerns. I wish you and your child the very best.
@@pediatricPTexercises Dear Mam, Its really wonderful to see your informative videos. My niece is also 7 years old and her condition is almost like Sebastian. What I feel is every single little improvement is a huge achievement in CP cases one should always remain motivated and hopeful, My question is whether Quadriplegics can also walk and sit on their own? May be not like the abled people but in their own way they may attain such milestones over a period of time if proper exercise are done with assistive equipments.
@@dsr11591 I guess the answer depends on how you define walking. Sebastian can walk with a full support walker. Maybe this video can help you.ua-cam.com/video/6lpcwZSC7A4/v-deo.html And thank you for your kind words and encouragement.
